Happy Birthday Badge-Card

Hi there,

I created this fun badge-card using a brand new Digital Stamp from Gerda Steiner Designs:
  • resize the adorable Gerda Steiner Designs Juggling Tiger in order to fit his face to a 3 cm (1.2'') badge and print it out twice
  • color both images identically with Delta and Touch Twin Brush Markers
  • add highlights with a white gel pen
  • I used my new Bandai Badge it! to create the pin out of one of the images - so many possibilities, don't you think?
  • cut out a stitched panel around the second image and color the background with alcohol markers as well
  • stamp the sentiment from the Gerda Steiner Designs Happy Hoppy stamp set with Versafine (Onyx Black)
  • I adhered the badge to the card with three rolled glue dots ... the recipient should be able to take off the badge without ruining the card itself

This is a picture of the card without the badge:

Hi there,

this is the next part of my series over at the Karten-Kunst Blog. Part 4 is all about embossing with the flower die:

  • stamp the sentiment from the Karten-Kunst Frühlingserwachen set with Versafine (Smokey Gray)
  • create a background using watered-down Distress Inks (Wild Honey, Dried Marigold, Spiced Marmalde) and a watercolor brush
  • add splatters with the same inks
  • add the left over silhouette from Project 3
  • mat the panel onto a piece of grey cardstock and create a 1/16'' border with the help of the Mini Perfect Layers Tool

Dragon Flight

Hi there,

I have a fun Mixed Media ATC on the A Day for Daisies Blog for you:

  • color the A Day for Daisies Dragon Flight image with Distress Markers and a damp watercolor brush
  • add Pico Embellisher (Shimmer) to its little purple dots
  • create some Gelli Print backgrounds on deli paper using a brayer, Dina Wakley Heavy Body Acrylic Paints (Lapis, Night, Turquoise, Magenta) and the ARTplorations Leaf Bliss Large stencil and the ARTplorations Big Bloom Factory Large stencil
  • cover an ATC cut from sturdy watercolor paper with part of a print using Dina Wakley Gel Medium
  • apply some Prima Marketing Modleing Paste throught the TCW Love Post stencil
  • mix some Distress Paint (Hickory Smoke) with Golden Acrylic Glazing Liquid, paint it over the dried texture paste, let it sit for a minute and wipe some of it away with a baby wipe - repeat this process until you are happy with the result
  • ink up the edges of the ATC with Distress Ink (Hickory Smoke)
  • add some black splatters with Kuretake Gansai Tambi watercolors
  • choose some Ideaology Remnant Rubs (Botanical) as embellishments
  • apply Versamark around the edges of the card and heat-emboss them with Archival Watering Can embossing powder

Love you Elephants

Hi there,

this is another creation for the My Favorite Things Card Design Superstar Contest 2016:

  • cut put a stitched panel from watercolor paper using one of the My Favorite Things Blueprints 29 dies
  • stamp one of the cute elephants from the My Favorite Things Adorable Elephants set with Versafine (Smokey Gray)
  • stamp that same elephant facing the one stamped out already using the My Favorite Things Mirror Image and the Mini MISTI - I stamped the mirror image three times
  • mask off the elephants and add some flowers from the My Favorite Things Adorable Elephants set and the My Favorite Things Ewe are the best set
  • stamp the sentiment from the My Favorite Things Celebrate Life set
  • I had to get a little creative with the hearts because I did not find single heart stamps in my MFT sets - I cut away the bigger and the smaller heart from a stamp from the My Favorite Things Sunflower Sweetheart set
  • after having stamped the complete scene I colored all the images and the background with ZIG Clean Color Real Brush Pens and Distress Markers
  • add highlights with a white gel pen
  • cover the hearts with the Pico Embellisher (Shimmer) and add some white details to the sentiment with the Pico Embellisher (Wedding Dress)
  • before adhering the panel to a white cardbase add a strip of pink glitter cardstock and a strip of patterned paper from the My Favorite Things Rainbow Stripes 6x6 paper pad to the left side

Here are close-ups of the sweet couple and the sentiment:

1 Die 8 Looks: Part 3 - Vellum Cutout

Hi there,

this is the next part of my series over at the Karten-Kunst Blog. Part 3 is all about a vellum cutout:

  • create a background on a stitched panel of watercolor paper with Distress Inks (Tumbled Glass, Broken China, Mermaid Lagoon) and the Mini Ink Blending Tool
  • add Pearlized Water to remove some of the color and to create more texture
  • cut out the Memory Box Sketch Daisy from the panel and keep the silhouette for another project
  • adhere vellum behind the cutout flower
  • stamp the sentiment from the Karten-Kunst Große Worte Frühlingserwachen set with Versafine (Deep Lagoon)
  • add a strip of silver glitter paper and a strip of grey cardstock to the left side of the panel before adhering it to a white cardbase
  • use foam tape and add some Pretty Pink Posh sequins (4mm Aquamarine) behind the cut out for more interest

Stamp Connection #17

Hi there,

connected through our love for card making, blogging and being from Germany we (Cornelia from Stempel Spass and I) decided to create a monthly project within predefined requirements. We are going to show you the result every 3rd Sunday of the month and this is our 17th transatlantic get-together!

Our requirement for this meet-up was:
"use wood and/or cork"

I would like to show you this wooden disk that I created for my little daughter's first day of school instead of a card.

  • stamp one of the adorable little dragons and two clouds from the My Favorite Things Magical Dragons set with Versafine (Onyx Black) onto a wooden disk; add some grass with the same ink from the My Favorite Things Ewe are the best set
  • color the image with Lyra Rembrandt Polycolor Pencils
  • add Spectrum Noir Clear Overlay to the little horns and wings for extra sparkle
  • glue a piece of twine to the back side as a hanger

Now make sure to hop over to see Cornelia's Creation
