Thanks Butterfly

Hi there,

I would like to share another project using the wonderful Skipping Stones Design Let it be stamp set over on the Skipping Stones Design Blog:


  • create a soft rainbow watercolor background using Distress Markers (Festive Berries, Ripe Persimmon, Fossilized Amber, Peacock Feathers, Mermaid Lagoon, Wilted Violet) and a wet watercolor brush
  • stamp the butterfly from the Skipping Stones Design Let it be set with Versafine (Smokey Gray) and color it with the same watered-down Distress Marker colors
  • add some splatters with black acrylic paint
  • cut out the CUTplorations thanks from white glitter fun foam and adhere it to the stitched watercolor panel
  • mount the panel onto a piece of grey patterned paper and use the Mini Perfect Layers Tool to create a perfect border

I especially created this card for Heather the owner of Skipping Stones Design as a huge "thank you" for her kindness and for letting the Design Team work with such wonderful designs.

Warm Fuzzies

Hi there,

it's time for our Holiday Challenge over at Addicted to Stamps and More:

  • cut out a stitched panel from watercolor paper and create a sky background with ZIG Clean Color Real Brush Pens 
  • cut out the Marianne Design Tiny's Pine Tress and color them with the ZIG Pens as well
  • add snow with a white gel pen
  • cut out to hill shapes from sturdy white cardstock, cover them with Versamark and heat-emboss them with WOW! White Puff embossing powder
  • adhere the whole scene to a kraft cardbase
  • cut a sentiment strip from Neenah Desert Storm kraft cardstock and stamp the sentiment from the Create a Smile Cool Buddies Set with Versamark and heat-emboss it with WOW! Bright White Super Fine embossing powder
  • add stitching to the left side of the sentiment strip with one of the My Favorite Things Homepsun Stitch Lines
  • stamp the cute fox from the same stamp set with Memento (Tuxedo Black) and color the image with Delta, Touch Twin Brush and Copic Markers
  • add more texture and shine to the nose and the eyes with a black gel pen

STAMPlorations 4th Birthday Blog Hop

Hi there,

it's time for the 4th STAMPlorations Birthday Blog Hop and these are my creations.

  • stamp the STAMPlorations Blossom Sprays #2 with Versamark onto a stitched panel of watercolor paper and heat-emboss the image with WOW! Bright White Super Fine embossing powder
  • color the flowers with ZIG Clean Color Real Brush Pens and a damp watercolor brush
  • stamp the sentiment from the STAMPlorations Strong Women set with Versafine (Smokey Gray)
  • adhere the watercolor panel to a grey cardbase

  • cut out one of the CUTplorations Luggage Tags and the CUTplorations Cupcake Builder from Bristol Smooth Cardstock
  • add color to the background with Distress Inks (Tumbled Glass, Spun Sugar, Shaded Lilac)
  • dye a piece of seam binding with the leftover ink
  • apply some DecoFoil Adhesive through the ARTplorations Daisy Play stencil and add some DecoFoil (Silver Star) to the flowers
  • color the cupcake with ZIG Clean Color Real Brush Pens and add Distress Clear Rock Candy Glitter to the frosting
  • slightly curve the sentiment from the STAMPlorations Gone Postal set before stamping it with Versafine (Smokey Gray)

  • create a background on a stitched panel of watercolor paper using Distress Oxide Inks (Broken China, Cracked Pistachio, Wilted Violet) and water from a Mister Bottle
  • cut out the CUTplorations Congrats! twice - once from grey cardstock and once from black cardstock - layer both die cuts slightly offset on top of each other in order to create a shadow effect
  • add a thin strip of black and a strip of silver glitter cardstock before adhering all the layers to a cardbase

  • stamp some flowers from the Karten-Kunst Blümchen-Meer set with Distress Inks (Abandoned Coral, Shabby Shutters, Spiced Marmalade, Crushed Olive) onto a stitched panel of watercolor paper - mist the inked stamp with water from your Mini Mister before stamping in order to achieve a watercolor look
  • stamp the sentiment from the same set with Versafine (Vintage Sepia)
  • adhere the panel to a kraft cardbase

Be happier than a Unicorn

Hi there,

the Gerda Steiner Designs Moody Unicorns stamp set is probably my favorite unicorn set of all times and as you all know they are quite trendy at the moment:


  • stamp one of the Gerda Steiner Designs Moody Unicorns and the cupcake from the same set with Versafine (Onyx Black) onto a piece of watercolor paper
  • color the images with Faber-Castell Albrecht Dürer Pencils and a damp watercolor brush
  • cut out a stitched panel from watercolor paper and create a background using Distress Inks (Spun Sugar, Tumbled Glass)
  • mist the background with pearlized water for more texture
  • cut some cloud shapes from vellum using the Lawn Fawn Puffy Cloud Borders dies
  • stamp the sentiment from the Mama Elephant Unicorns and Rainbows set with Altenew Crisp Ink (Cotton Candy)
  • cut out some hearts from purple glitter cardstock with the help of the Mama Elephant Confetti die and add some of them as final embellishments

Leave a little sparkle wherever you go.

I used some Alcohol Inks for the background of this card which I would like to show you over on the Karten-Kunst Blog:

  • cut out a stitched Panel from Lanavanguard Paper using one of the Memory Box Stitched Rectangle Layers Dies
  • create a background using Alcohol Inks (Stonewashed, Cloudy Blue, Mushroom, Lake Mist) and Alcohol Ink Blending Solution
  • cut out the Karten-Kunst Dandelion Hearts from black cardstock and adhere them to the background
  • add a sentiment using a sticker from the Tim Holtz Small Talk set
  • mat the panel onto black cardstock and use the Mini Perfect Layers to to create the perfect border

Gift Bag Tag

Hi there,

it's time for another Stencil Sunday over on the STAMPlorations Blog and this time I would like to show you this personalized gift bag tag.


  • cut out a tag from Mixed Media Paper
  • stamp one of the butterflies from the STAMPlorations Trendy Butterflies 2 set twice with Versamark and heat-emboss them with WOW! Bright White Super Fine embossing powder
  • the embossed surface will now act as a resist
  • apply Distress Oxide Inks (Worn Lipstick, Wilted Violet, Broken China) with a Mini Ink Blending Tool, add water droplets, mist the tag with Pearlized Water and dry the tag with a heat-tool ... repeat all these steps until you are happy with the result
  • stamp the script from the STAMPlorations Mixed Media Elements set with Altenew Crisp Ink (Silver Stone)
  • apply Nuvo Mousse (Aquamarine) through the ARTplorations Dots all over stencil
  • create matching ink by mixing Liquitex Ink (White) and Distress Re-Inker (Wilted Violet) and write the name of the recipient with a dip pen
  • thread a piece of twine through the hole of the tag and add a clear gemstone on top of the "i"

Stamp Connection #26

Hi there,

connected through our love for card making, blogging and being from Germany we (Cornelia from Stempel Spass and I) decided to create a monthly project within predefined requirements. We are going to show you the result every 3rd Sunday of the month and this is our 26th transatlantic get-together!

Our requirement for this meet-up was:
"Card Set" 

and I created this Birthday Invitations for my little daughter Emily:





  • stamp some images from the Lawn Fawn Mermaid for you set with Memento (Tuxedo Black) and color all the images with Delta, Copic and Touch Twin Brush Markers
  • add some sparkle with Wink of Stella Clear Glitter
  • cut out some stitched rectangles from patterned paper and stitched scalloped ovals from sturdy white cardstock
  • cut out the Karten-Kunst Große Texte Einladung from white cardstock as well
  • cut little wave borders using the Taylored Expresssions Rolling Waves and add color with Distress Ink (Tumbled Glass)
  • add a little gemstone as dot on the "i"

Happy Birthday Chameleon

Hi there,

we are starting a new Challenge over on the Addicted to Stamps and More Blog and I would like to show you this colorful birthday card:

  • create kind of a film strip using one of the My Favorite Things Blueprints 27 dies and white cardstock
  • stamp three of the adorable chameleons from the Clearly Besotted Stamps Color Chameleon set with Memento (Tuxedo Black) into the frames 
  • color the images with Lyra Rembrandt Polycolor Pencils and Zest-it
  • color the frame with a Touch Twin Brush Marker and add texture by stamping the Hero Arts Designer Woodgrain with Avery Elle Pigment Ink (Kraft)
  • stamp the Create a Smile Color your Polka onto a white background panel with Versamark and heat-emboss all the circles with WOW! Vintage Amethyst embossing powder
  • stamp the "birthday" from the Lawn Fawn Big Scripty Words set with the same brown ink onto the matching die cut from patterned paper from the BoBunny Lemonade Stand 6x6 paper pad
  • layer a die cut from kraft cardstock behind this part of the sentiment
  • cut out two little banner strips from the same patterned paper and stamp the "happy" from the Clearly Besotted Stamps Many Mini Messages set with Versafine (Onyx Black) and heat-emboss it with clear embossing powder
  • adhere some sequins from Little Things from Lucy's Cards Lucky Dip II as final embellishments
  • add a thin strip of kraft cardstock to the right side of the panel before assembling the card

Merry Christmas Watercolor Tags

Hi there,

we are starting a new Mixed Media Challenge over at Happy Little Stampers and I created this watercolor tag duo:


  • cut out two tags from watercolor paper and two more from patterned paper from the My Mind's Eye Sugar Plum 6x6 paper pad using the My Favorite Things Tag Builder Blueprints 5 die set
  • stamp images from the Rubber Dance Watercolor XMas set with Distress Inks (Fossilized Amber, Evergreen Bough)
  • color the images and the backgrounds with those same colors
  • heat-emboss the ornament embellishments on one tag with sparkly golden embossing powder and add splatters with watered-down Distress Ink (Evergreen Bough)
  • add golden and white splatters to the other tag
  • stamp the sentiment from the Clearly Besotted Many Mini Messages set with Versafine (Onyx Black)
  • add hole reinforcers cur from golden glitter paper and natural twine as finishing touches

Altered Box

Hi there,

it is time for another Stencil Sunday and the start of the June Mixed Media Challenge over on the STAMPlorations Blog. This time I altered a round paper box and turned it into a desk organizer.

  • adhere Tissue Wrap to the whole box with gel medium and cover it with white gesso
  • add Crackle Paste at random spots and let it dry thoroughly
  • use Dylusions Paint (Vibrant Turquoise) to add color
  • apply Dylusions Paint (Black Marble) over the cracked areas and through the ARTplorations Bloom Silhouettes stencil
  • add white splatters with watered-down Dylusions Paint (White Linen)
  • use some Metallic Rub On Paste for a grungy finish
