Quilt Background

Hi there,

I created this cute quilt background card using the Karten-Kunst Nyala Script Gutschein and the hexagon from the Karten-Kunst Small Frames die set:

• cut out a lot of hexagons from patterned paper using one of the dies from the Karten-Kunst Small Frames die set
• use a piece of cardstock to assemble the quilt pattern
• cut the quilt panel to size and adhere it to a kraft cardbase
• cut out the Karten-Kunst Nyala Script Gutschein from vellum and from kraft cardstock and adhere it as a sentiment

Christmas Wish

Hi there,

each year I chose a project that wishes you a very Merry Christmas. This time I created this clean and simple Christmas Card using the Anjas Basteltraum Adventsfuchs stamp set:

• stamp the Anjas Basteltraum Adventsfuchs with Lawn Fawn Jet Black
• color the image with Spectrum Noir Triblend Markers, add extra shading with Faber-Castell Polychromos pencils and highlights with a white gel pen
• stamp the sentiment from the Anjas Basteltraum Kleine Adventssprüche set with Versafine Clair Nocturne
• add strips of colored cardstock and of patterned paper to the left and right side of the panel before adhering it to a cardbase

Merry little Christmas

Hi there,

I created this sweet infinity shaker card using the Gerda Steiner Designs Little Reindeer stamp set:

• stamp the Gerda Steiner Designs Little Reindeer with Lawn Fawn Jet Black
• color the image with Spectrum Noir Triblend Markers, add extra shading with Faber-Castell Polychromos pencils and highlights with a white gel pen
• stamp the sentiment from the same set with Versafine Clair Nocturne
• wrap acetate around the panel and fill it with star-shaped sequins
• adhere the shaker panel to a cardbase colored with Distress Ink Peacock Feathers and splattered with water droplets and white gouache

The sentiment says it all: Have yourself a Merry little Christmas

I created this sweet Christmas Card using the fox couple from the Anjas Basteltraum Unter dem Mistelzweig stamp set:

• stamp the sweet fox couple from the Anjas Basteltraum Unter dem Mistelzweig set with Lawn Fawn Jet Black
• color the image with Spectrum Noir Triblend Markers, add extra shading with Faber-Castell Polychromos pencils and highlights with a white gel pen
• create a background on violet cardstock with the help of Distress Ink (Dusty Concord, Black Soot), add some dry embossing with snowflake dies and splatters with Mica Spray Pearl and some watered-down white gouache
• cut out the letters "J" and "Y" three times from white cardstock using the Altenew Caps Bold die set
• add color to two of the letters with Spectrum Noir Triblend Markers
• cut out the Joy! Crafts Icicles from one pair of the letters 
• adhere the layers on top of each other and add Nuvo Glitter Accents Fresh Snowfall to the icicles
• adhere the panel to a black cardbase

Gift Card Pocket

Hi there,

I created this Gift Card Pocket for the Karten-Kunst Blog:

• cut out the CUTplorations ATC/Gift Card Envelope from kraft cardstock
• stamp the Karten-Kunst Script Weihnachtsgedicht with Versamark and heat-emboss it with clear embossing powder
• add color to the Gift Card Pocket with Distress Ink (Chipped Sapphire, Faded Jeans)
• create a closing mechanism using two die cut circles, two mini brads and some twine
• cut out the 24 with the help of the Karten-Kunst Lucky Numbers set - once from silver foiled cardstock and once from white glitter paper
• adhere the number in the middle of the pocket
• embellish the envelope with the Karten-Kunst Mini Snowflake 2 also cut from white glitter paper

I created this classic Christmas Card for the Karten-Kunst Blog:

• ink up a panel of smooth white cardstock with Distress Ink (Rustic Wilderness, Festive Berries)
• stamp some snowflakes from the Karten-Kunst Riesige Schneeflocken und Karten-Kunst Zauberhafte Schneeflocken sets with Versamark and heat-emboss them with WOW! Bright White Super Fine embossing powder
• cut the panel apart 
• stamp a plaid background using Distress Oxide Ink (Rustic Wilderness, Festive Berries) and Delicata Golden Glitz
• adhere all the layers to a kraft cardbase
• cut out the Karten-Kunst Elegant Script Frohe Weihnachten from vellum and kraft cardstock
• add some splatters with watered-down Finetec Mica Watercolor Arabic Gold and a little gemstone on the "i" as final embellishment

• cut out a Clearly Besotted Stamps Rounded Tag from Gmund Beer Paper Weizen
• stamp the Santa Hat and the cat from the Anjas Basteltraum Weihnachten bei Katz und Maus set with Lawn Fawn Crunchy Leaf
• color the image with Spectrum Noir Triblend Markers, add extra shading with Faber-Castell Polychromos pencils and highlights with a white gel pen
• ink up the edges of the tag with Distress Ink Gathered Twigs
• add texture to the rim and the pompon of the hat with Liquid Applique
• cover the backside of the tag with patterned paper and thread two strands of twine through the hole of the tag

• cut out the largest of the Karten-Kunst Tags from watercolor paper
• adhere some torn strips of tissue paper with gel medium
• cover this first layer with some white gesso
• stamp the Karten-Kunst Script Weihnachtsgedicht with Memento Luxe Gray Flannel and heat-emboss it with clear embossing powder
• add color to the tag with watered-down Distress Ink Villainous Potion
• cut out the Karten-Kunst Star Wreath from white cardstock and color it with Distress Ink Peacock Feathers
• add some glitter to the stars with Wink of Stella Clear Glitter
• add a sticker from the Tim Holtz Small Talk Occasions set
• dye a piece of torn seam binding with some left-over purple ink and thread it through the hole of the tag

• color the image with Faber-Castell Albrecht Dürer watercolor pencils and add highlights with a white gel pen
• distress the edges of the watercolor panel and ink them up with Distress Ink Iced Spruce
• add some splatters with watered-down Finetec Mica Watercolors Sterling Silver
• cover the cardbase with patterned paper
• stamp the sentiment from the Karten-Kunst Weihnachten Modern set with Versamark onto a strip of grey cardstock and heat-emboss it with WOW! Bright White Super Fine embossing powder

• stamp the cute Christmas Tree from the Anjas Basteltraum Lebküchenbäckerei set with Lawn Fawn Jet Black
• color the image with Spectrum Noir Triblend Markers
• stamp the sentiment from the Anjas Basteltraum Kleine Adventssprüche set with Versamark onto a sentiment strip cut from grey cardstock and heat-emboss it with WOW! Bright White Super Fine embossing powder
• cut out a frame from that same grey cardstock with the help of the Karten-Kunst Stitched Rectangles DIN A6
• arrange some vellum and patterned paper strips onto a light grey panel and add the sentiment and Christmas Tree to it
• cut out some Lawn Fawn Mini Snowflakes from white glitter paper and add them as final embellishments

• color the images with Spectrum Noir Triblend Markers, add extra shading with Faber-Castell Polychromos pencils and highlights with a white gel pen
• ink up the edges of the panel with Distress Ink Dusty Concord
• add a layer of dark kraft cardstock underneath
• emboss a panel of Neenah Desert Storm kraft cardstock with the Sizzix Winter Foliage embossing folder, ink up the edges with Distress Ink Gathered Twigs before adhering all those layers to a cardbase

Christmas Bauble

Hi there,

I created this cute Christmas Bauble Card for the Karten-Kunst Blog:

• cut out two Karten-Kunst Stitched Circles - one will be the front and one the back of the card
• stamp images from the Karten-Kunst Mini Frames Christmas and Karten-Kunst Mini Frames Winter sets with Versafine Clair Pinecone
• ink up the edges of the circles with Distress Ink Walnut Stain
• cut out the hanger from the Karten-Kunst Wavy Ornament die set from foiled cardstock
• cut out the Karten-Kunst Nyala Script Gutschein from kraft and off-white cardstock and place the sentiment in the middle of the bauble
• embellish some images with Nuvo Jewel Drops (Strawberry Coulis, Sea Breeze)

My daughter Emily crafted with me the day I created the Bauble Card and this is her take on it.

She is a real pro although she is only 12 years old.

I created this cute little Christmas wreath for the Karten-Kunst Blog using the Karten-Kunst Doodles Plants and the Karten-Kunst Mini Frames Winter stamp sets:

• stamp some branches from the Karten-Kunst Doodle Plants set with Lawn Fawn Jet Black using the Karten-Kunst Wreath Technique
• color the leaves with Spectrum Noir Triblend Markers
• add some snowflakes from the Karten-Kunst Mini Frames Winter set - stamp them with Versamark and heat-emboss them with WOW! Opaque Primary Frozen embossing powder
• ink up the edges of the square panel with Distress Ink Pine Needles and add some splatters with Finetec Mica Watercolors Pearl Gold
• use Nuvo Crystal Drops Rhubarb Crumble for the little berries
• cut out the Karten-Kunst Frohes Fest three times from Neenah Desert Storm kraft cardstock
• ink up the edges of the cardbase with Versamark and heat-emboss them with WOW! Gold Rich embossing powder
