Enjoy the Summer

Hi again,

this is my last card for today.

• use white cardstock as a base
• cut one of the Designs on Cloud 9 Summer Frames from smooth white cardstock and add Distress Ink (Squeezed Lemonade, Antique Linen, Vintage Photo) and Distress Embossing Powder (Old Paper)
• cut "enjoy the" from smooth white cardstock and cover with two layers of platinum embossing powder - the font is called Watermelon
• use two paperstrips from Avery Elle The Sorbet Collection 6x6 paper pad as background, use Xcut border punch to create the scalloped edge, ink all the edges with Distress Ink (Tumbled Glass, Spun Sugar)
• add layered sequins as as final embellishment

Love Tag

Hi there,

as promised - the tag. Make sure to also look at the previous post with the card that I created.

• stamp camera from Amy Tangerine Aspire stamp set on watercolor paper and color with ready-to use Distress Re-Inker watercolors (Shaded Lilac, Dusty Concord, Spun Sugar, Picked Raspberry, Tumbled Glass) and silver gel pen, add Wink of Stella Clear Glitter to the heart and cover with Glossy Accents
• cut a tag from watercolor paper and stamp diagonal stripes from Mama Elephant Basic Borders with Versamark and heat-emboss with clear embossing powder, color with Distress Re-Inker watercolors (Tumbled Glass, Broken China, Peacock Feathers)
• cut frame from smooth white cardstock and Doodlebug Design Sugar Shoppe 6x6 paper pad and layer them on top of each other, add Distress Marker (Picked Raspberry) to the edges
• stamp the two cute birds from Lawn Fawn Science of Love on the the white centerpiece and color with Inktense Pencils, stamp love from the same stamp set with Memento Luxe (Wild Plum) and tiny hearts with Memento Luxe (Rose Bud), add Glossy Accents to the glasses and Wink of Stella Clear Glitter to the hearts
• color the tag hole reinforcer with a matching Inktense color and cover with two layers of clear embossing powder
• add faux stitching with a white gel pen and twine

Good morning,

yesterday evening I got creative.
I am going to post a mixed-media card and a tag today. First comes the card. If you are also interested in the tag, click here.

• dye texture paste with Prima Marketing Color Bloom Summer Sky and add to white cardbase through the new Tim Holtz Layering Stencil Gothic
• stamp Sheena Douglass Wild Rose & Hibiscus flower and two leaves on watercolor paper with Versafine Onyx Black and color with Winsor & Newton watercolors
• stamp sentiment from Market Street Stamps Chillaxin' on vellum with jet black Staz-on and cut a fishtail banner that will overlap the card - use vellum bond to adhere the vellum strip

Sweet Birthday Wishes

Hi,

it's me again. I would like to share another card with you.

• stamp cupcake stand from My Favorite Things Sweet Birthday Wishes on white cardstock with Versafine Onyx Black, cut out and color with Prismacolor Colored Pencils and Zest-it
• cut banner shape from white cardstock and stamp sentiment from the same stamp set with Versafine Onyx Black and heat-emboss with clear embossing powder
• as a background use two paper strips from Lawn Fawn Hello Sunshine petite paper pack and round the bottom corners with 1'' corner rounder
• add Distress Glitter (Clear Rock Candy) to the cupcakes, faux stitching with Wink of Stella Glitter Pen (Dark Pink) to the banner and two sequins with a rhinestone in the middle
• as a final step stamp little butterfly from Avery Elle Storybook with Versafine Onyx Black on top of the cupcakes and color with Prismacolor Colored Pencils and Zest-it - add Glossy Accents for extra shine and dimension

Hi there,

today, I would like to show you a card, which was inpsired by Lydia's Faux Watercolor Technique.

And by the way - how do you like my new blog design??

• stamp flowers, leaves and dots from WPlus9 Fresh Cut Florals with Distress Ink (Seedless Preserves, Dusty Concord, Shabby Shutters, Scattered Straw) on watercolor paper and spritz it with water from your mister bottle
• use Distress Ink (Dusty Concord) around the edges, cut at an angle and adhere to white cardbase
• stamp "Sending" from Avery Elle Sending you and "smiles" with Lawn Fawn Jessie's ABCs with Versafine Onyx Black directly to the cardbase
• add tiny clear sequins to the centre of the flowers and faux stitching with the matching Distress Marker (Seedless Preserves) as finishing touches
