Reasons to be happy

Hi there,

I created this watercolor ice cream cone for our wonderful birthday girl Shery. Enjoy the blog hop with STAMPlorations.

  • cut out a piece of watercolor paper and paint an ice cream cone with Kuretake Gansai Tambi watercolors
  • stamp the sentiment from the STAMPlorations Noteworthy 3 set with Versafine Clair Nocturne
  • add some strips of patterned paper from the My Favorite Things Black & White Stripes 6x6 paper pad to the left and right of the panel before adhering it to a cardbase

Happy Birthday Shery.

Sending you hugs,

Little Love Note

Hi there,

I created this sweet shaker card for the Stamping-Fairies Facebook Group:

  • add some green and pink watercolors to a piece of watercolor paper and use some of the dies from the My Favorite Things Stitched Blooms set to cut out a flower and some leaves
  • stamp one of the adorable little bunnies from the My Favorite Things Sweet Somebunny set with Versafine Clair Morning Mist and color the image with Faber-Castell Polychromos pencils
  • add highlights with a white gel pen
  • cut out the My Favorite Things Rectangular Peek-a-Boo Window from a white stitched cardstock panel
  • stamp the sentiment from the My Favorite Things Essential Sentiments set with Versafine Clair Morning Mist
  • create a shaker element using acetate and double-sided foam adhesive
  • fill the shaker element with Pretty Pink Posh Sequins (4 mm Aquamarine, Pink Blush and Pink Peonies)
  • close the shaker element with a piece of patterned paper from the My Favorite Things Itsy Bitsy Polka Dots Pastels 6x6 paper pad before adhering everything to a white cardbase

I hope you got inspired.

Happy Birthday Snail

Hi there,

did you see the lovely new Gerda Steiner Designs Turtley Great stamp set? I created this hidden slider channel card using the cute little snail from the set:

  • create a hidden slider card using watercolor cardstock, Distress Ink Tumbled Glass and the My Favorite Things Cloud stencil for the background; the Memory Box Modern Landscape die, the Lawn Fawn Grassy Border die, one of the My Favorite Things Stitched Snowdrift dies, kraft cardstock and patterned paper from the ModaScrap Color of Puppies Boys 6x6 paper pad for the landscape
  • furthermore, you need one of the Lawn Fawn Slide on over dies to cut the hidden slider channel
  • I followed these instructions by Karolyn Loncon from Paper Therapy to create the mechanism
  • stamp the "Pull Here" from the Lawn Fawn Push Here set with Versafine Clair Morning Mist
  • stamp the snail and the present from the new Gerda Steiner Designs Turtley Great set and color the images with Derwent Inktense pencils and a damp watercolor brush
  • add some sparkle with the Nuvo Midas Touch Shimmer Pen
  • cut out the CUTplorations happy from kraft cardstock and patterned paper from the same patterned paper pad and add the "Birthday" using a label maker

You should really try to create this stunning mechanism. Who doesn't love an interactive card?

Flower Wreath

Hi there,

I created this flower wreath card using the Karten-Kunst Blümchen-Meer stamp set:

  • cut out a circle mask and stamp a wreath around it using stamps from the Karten-Kunst Blümchen-Meer set and Distress Oxide Ink (Worn Lipstick, Abandoned Coral, Fossilized Amber, Wild Honey, Bundled Sage, Peeled Paint, Frayed Burlap)
  • place a stitched circle inside the wreath shape and cut the Karten-Kunst Große Texte Grüße twice from watercolor paper
  • color the sentiment with watered-down Distress Oxide Ink Wild Honey
  • cut out a stitched rectangle around the wreath shape and adhere this panel to a grey cardbase

I hope you got inspired.
