Keep Calm and Eat Bananas

Hi there,

this is just a quick reminder of this month's Stencil Challenge over on the STAMPlorations Blog:

• apply Distress Oxide Ink (Mowed Lawn, Bundled Sage through the ARTplorations Leaf Prints mini stencil directly to a Neenah Desert Storm kraft cardbase
• cut out a hill shape with the help of the CUTplorations Stitched Winter Landscape - add color with that same green inks used on the patterned background
• stamp one of the monkeys and the bananas from the STAMPlorations Chikoo goes Bananas set with Gina K. Designs Jet Black Ink
• color the images with Delta, Touch Twin Brush and Copic Markers and add extra shading with Faber-Castell Polychromos pencils
• stamp the sentiment from the same set with Versafine Vintage Sepia directly onto the cardbase

Hi there,

I created this artsy Easter Card for the Karten-Kunst Blog:

• cut out the Karten-Kunst Small Flower Wreath three times from watercolor cardstock
• ink up the three wreaths with three different green Distress Oxide Ink Colors (Old Paper, Bundled Sage, Peeled Paint)
• add extra shading with PITT Pastel Pencils
• accentuate the berries with Nuvo Crystal Drops Dandelion Yellow
• stamp the sentiment from the Karten-Kunst Aus der Schreibmaschine set with Versamark onto a strip of black cardstock and heat-emboss it with WOW! Bright White Super Fine embossing powder
• splatter those same ink colors onto an off-white cardbase
• adhere the wreaths slightly offset to the card and add the sentiment strip as well

• stamp the cotton plant and the first part of the sentiment from the Elizabeth Craft Designs First Sights of Spring set with Versafine Vintage Sepia
• add color to the background and the plant and some splatters as well with the Elizabeth Craft Designs Watercolors
• for an extra dramatic effect add some Finetec Mica Watercolor Inca Gold to the plant
• stamp the second part of the sentiment from the same stamp set with Versamark onto a strip of kraft cardstock and heat-emboss it with WOW! Bright White Super Fine embossing powder
