I would like to show you this shaped shaker-card that I just finished.
- use Lori Whitlock Shaker Butterfly as a starting point - cut 1 base in the original size and two bases a bit bigger to create your cardbase, cut 6 distance pieces that will allow your sequins to move freely, cut 1 base from acetate, cut 1 top piece and 1 antenna-piece
- stamp Memory Box Mercer Rose Background on your cardbase with Versamark and heat-emboss with silver embossing powder
- color base and top with ready-to-use Distress-Reinker watercolors (Tumbled Glass, Shaded Lilac, Dusty Concord), spritz the base with Distress Stain (Picket Fence) from a mister bottle and flick some paint splatters (Peacock Feathers) on the top piece
- color the antenna piece with Distress Ink (Scattered Straw, Pumice Stone) and the Mini Blending Tool
- color the edges of the cardbase with Distress Ink (Pumice Stone)
- the sequins I used are from Doodlebug Design (Lily White, Blue Jean, Lilac)
- for the inside create a little banner and stamp Avery Elle Written in the Stars with Versafine Onyx Black, go around the edges with Distress Ink (Pumice Stone)
Here is a look inside:
