Look what the Easterbunny brought me ...

Hi there,

today, I would like to showcase a new product in my stash.

You all know how much I love coloring with different mediums. But I didn't have any alcohol markers. I did some research and waited and thought and researched again. Copics are just too expensive for me because I would rather invest in stamps than in pens. Then the Chameleon Pens came out and I thought ... maybe that's the thing for me. But I waited and thought and researched again. I decided against them because although you get light and dark shades from one pen I couldn't imagine to have such a limited color range. I came to the conclusion that I needed more colors which is naturally more expensive. So I waited and thought again and decided that I couldn't invest before knowing that I can handle coloring with markers.

Two weeks ago I stumbled across a product called Marker Refill Pack by Crayola. This kit contains 12 fillable markers. I had an idea: what if I fill my Alcohol Ink in those markers and try to color with them and see how that goes. Needless to say I loved the vibrant, almost printed looking outcome. And it is a great possibility to do more with your Alcohol Inks. I filled the markers with sixty drops by the way. Maybe some of you want to try that, too.

I got my new markers on Tuesday. I bought a German product called Delta Marker. They come in 120 colors and a Coloreless Blender and since I love a color range I bought them all.

They have a chisel nip and a fine nip - no brush nip but I don't know the Copic brush nip and that is why I don't miss something. They do fit into the Distress Marker Spritzer. They are not refillable but since I can get a new pen for 1,89 EUR that doesn't matter to me. I bought mine here.

The one thing that I didn't like about the markers so far is the color chart.

Only the Cool and Warm Greys are listed together. The other colors are scattered all over the place. That's why my first task was to create my own color chart:

This looks a lot better. Don't you think? I now use my new markers together with my DIY Alcohol Ink markers.

I will share projects using markers soon. So make sure to stop by again.

Have a wonderful Easter time.

Yours,
Tanja
