Yours,
today, I would like to share a new card that I created for the Karten-Kunst Blog and the post is packed with DIY ideas:
- since ombre and multi-colored inkpads are all the rage at the moment I simply created my own
- cut a square from Cut-n-Dry Felt and ink it up with the dye ink refills of your choice
- I used Jenni Bowlin Dye Ink (Chewing Gum, Lavender Sachet, Soap Powder) but you can really use any dye ink that you like
- ink up the sentiment from Karten-Kunst Buchstabenblöcke with the new inkpad and turn it if it is not big enough to comprise the whole stamp
- the sentiment stamp has rather bold letters and sometimes it happens to me that not every last bit stamps perfectly; for this reason it would be quite useful to press the stamp on the same spot a second time; I am not good at lining up stamps over the same spot and while using a stamp positioner my paper often shifts accidentally; to solve this problem I created a little stamp press and positioner out of a DVD case and some foam rubber
- mat the sentiment panel on a piece of Distress Cardstock (Dusty Concord)
- stamp the cute little dog from Penny Black Every which Way with Memento Tuxedo Black on Perfect Colouring Paper, color the image with Delta Markers and add some accents to the nose and the balloon with a white gel pen
- cover the balloon with Glossy Accents for more shine and dimension
