Bloom Tag

Hi there,

today, I would like to share another mixed media tag for the STAMPlorations blog with you:

• make a monoprint through the ARTplorations Bold Florals stencil using Martha Stewart Crafts Satin Paint (Pacific Iris) on watercolor paper
• cut out a tag shape
• color the white part of the tag with Distress Inks (Tumbled Glass, Broken China, Faded Jeans) - the acrylic paint will resist the ink
• slightly offset the stencil and apply Distress Ink (Seedless Preserves) to create a shadow
• draw a sketchy line around the tag with the Fude Ball Pen (black)
• create a fluffy bow using seam binding and dye the bow's center with Distress Ink (Seedless Preserves)
• cut out a frame from wood veneer and the word "bloom" from watercolor paper
• color the sentiment with Distress Ink (Dusty Concord) and heat emboss it twice with clear embossing powder
• punch out two large and one smaller flower from a leftover strip of the monoprint and ink it up with Distress Ink (Dusty Concord)
• use an embossing stylus and a soft mat to shape the petals and place a gemstone in the middle of the flower
• apply PITT Artist Pen silver with the help of the Distress Marker Spritzer
