Yours,
today, I am starting a new mini-series for the Karten-Kunst Blog. I will show you how to create watercolor backgrounds with Distress Inks using four different techniques:
- cut out a tag from watercolor paper using the Paper Smooches Gift Tags 2 Dies and the Big Shot
- apply some Distress Ink (Tumbled Glass, Salty Ocean, Broken China) to your craft sheet, pick the colors up with a wet brush and color the tag until you are satisfied with the result - you may of course dry in between layers to achieve that typical watercolor look
- apply Distress Ink (Broken China) through the Memory Box Texture Splatter Spray stencil and heat-emboss with Glitter embossing powder
- stamp the seahorse from Lawn Fawn Critters in the Sea with Memento Tuxedo Black and color the image with Delta Markers
- add details with a white gel pen
- cut out a wave shape using Lawn Fawn Puffy Cloud Borders from vellum
- stamp the sentiment from Karten-Kunst Inchie-Grüße 4 with Versamark and heat-emboss with Wendy Vecchi embossing powder (Cornflower Blue)
- add some burlap to the top of the tag using a stapler and add a DIY enamel dot on top of that
I would like to take part in the following challenges:
CASology Challenge Week 153: Pop
Pile it on Challenge #76 - Hot Fun in the Summertime
Use your Stuff Challenge #200 - Anything goes
