Mixed Media Backgrounds: Part 3 - Printing with Inks and Stencils

Hi there,

this is the third part of my series about Mixed Media Backgrounds for the Karten-Kunst Blog:

• cut out two tags from watercolor paper using the My Favorite Things Stitched Traditional Tag STAX and cover it with Gesso
• cover the Memory Box Garden Floral Confetti Stencil with Distress Inks (Shaded Lilac, Worn Lipstick, Broken China), mist it with water from your Mini Mister and print it onto the tag
• ink up the edges with Distress Ink (Shaded Lilac)
• create a hill shape by using the My Favorite Things Stitched Snow Drifts and color it with Distress Inks (Bundled Sage, Mowed Lawn)
• stamp the sentiment from the Lawn Fawn Hello Sunshine set with Versafine Smokey Gray
• stamp the bird and the balloon string from the same set with Memento Tuxedo Black and stamp one extra bird on Perfect Colouring Paper to color it with Delta Markers; add details with a white gel pen
• stamp the balloon with two colors of Brilliance Ink (Pearlescent Sky Blue, Meditarranean Blue) in order to achive an ombre effect
• add some detail at the bottom of the balloon with a black Micron Pen
