Yours,
today, I would like to show you how to make this fun Halloween Shaker Card:
- color a piece of watercolor paper with Distress Ink (Shaded Lilac)
- apply Distress Ink (Dusty Concord) through a Tim Holtz Layering Stencil (Shatter) and ink up the edges with Distress Ink (Black Soot)
- spritz the background with Pearlized Water
- cut out a panel from the watercolor piece with the stitched rectangle from the My Favorite Things Blueprints 20 die set
- stamp the sentiment from the My Favorite Things Witch Way is the Candy? stamp set with Versamark and heat-emboss it with WOW! Bright White Super Fine embossing powder
- cut out a banner with the help of the My Favorite Things Stitched Jumbo Fishtail Banner STAX from Perfect Colouring Paper
- stamp the cute critters, the moon and a pumpkin from the same stamp set with Memento (Tuxedo Black); use masking for the row at the bottom and cut out the moon and the bat; add a smaller pumpkin from the My Favorite Things Harvest Mouse set and color the images with Delta Markers
- add details with a white and purple gel pen
- create a background using Jaxell Soft Pastels, the Hero Arts Cloudy stencil and a white pompon
- cover the moon with Glossy Accents and add Distress Glitter (Antique Linen)
- put the whole banner into a shaker bag assembled using the Photo Sleeve Fuse Tool
- add sequins (Pretty Pink Posh 4mm Sparkling Clear, Neat & Tangled Plum Metallic Sequins) and stars

THIS is my kind of Halloween card, Tanja, fun and not scary! Love your design, so many fun elements! Thanks for playing along with us at the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday challenge!
ReplyDeleteThis is too adorable! I love your stencil and the shaker aspect is fabulous! I have never done a shaker card - they scare me!
ReplyDeleteOh my word - this card is adorable! Love that shaker! Thanks for joining us this week at Use Your Stuff!
ReplyDeleteWhat an absolutely amazing shaker card! I thought you did so many original things here. For example, I love the shape of the shaker section and how it's got a fish-tail edge instead of just a rectangle. I also love the way the background of the card looks and how it is a work of art. The characters you included are so charming and I really like the bits of bling that keep it lively. This is fantastic and really a stand-out shaker card. Thank you so much for sharing it with us for this week's Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge!
ReplyDeleteThis shaker card is adorable!!
ReplyDeleteSuch a cute card! Thanks so much for joining us at our UYS Challenge ♥
ReplyDeleteThanks for joining in with our Stencil challenge at UYS, the shatter is perfect for the Halloween theme and I love how you glitzed it up.
