Yours,
today, I have a cute Mixed Media project to share with you for our STAMPlorations Mixed Media Challenge:
- cover a cat-shaped ceramic savings box with tissue paper using multi medium matte
- add a coat of gesso on top of that
- apply an even coat of aqua-colored chalk paint
- water down Dina Wakley Heavy Body Acrylic Paint (Umber) in order to give the cat an aged look
- add some sparkling highlights using Inka Gold (Turquoise)
- draw in the eyes, nose and mouth with a black PITT Artist Pen and add details with a white gel pen
- add the whiskers made from grey twine hardened with Glossy Accents
- stamp the circles from STAMPlorations Artsy Border Maker with Memento Luxe (Gray Flannel) for more texture
- trace one of the butterflies from the ARTplorations Shower of Flutters stencil on vellum and cut it out
- stamp one of the butterflies from the STAMPlorations Trendy Butterflies set with Versamark on that piece of vellum and heat-emboss it with Platinum embossing powder
