Let it Snow Penguin Scene

Hi there,

this is my third creation using one of the wonderful images from the Gerda Steiner Designs December-January Digital-Stamp-Bundle:

  • color the Gerda Steiner Designs Penguin with Hat image which is available as part of the December-January Digital-Stamp-Bundle with Delta, Touch Twin Brush and Copic Markers
  • add texture to the rim and the pompon of the cap with white Liquid Applique
  • cut out a stitched panel from watercolor paper and create a little lake scene
  • stamp the sheet of ice from the Lawn Fawn Critters in the Arctic set with Versafine (Smokey Gray) and color it with ZIG Clean Color Real Brush Pens - mask it off
  • draw in the lake border with a grey pen
  • stamp some trees from the Lawn Fawn Let it Snow set with Versamark and heat-emboss them with Zing! Leaf embossing powder and WOW! Earthtone Mint embossing powder
  • add color to the backgroud with Distress Inks (Tumbled Glass, Broken China, Salty Ocean) and a Mini Ink Blending Tool
  • stamp in some snowflakes from the Lawn Fawn Critters in the Arctic set with Hero Arts Shadow Ink (Silver)
  • add white splatters with Kuretake Gansai Tambi Watercolor
  • mount the panel onto a piece of dark blue cardstock - use the Mini Perfect Layers Tool for the perfect border
  • adhere the cute penguin with foam tape
  • stamp the sentiment from the Lawn Fawn Let it Snow set with Versamark onto a strip of that same dark blue cardstock and heat-emboss it with WOW! Bright White Super Fine embossing powder and also adhere that strip using foam tape

I hope you got inspired.

Yours,
