it's time for another Stencil Sunday over on the STAMPlorations Blog and this time I created a matchbox for my Dip Pen Nibs.
- cut out a matchbox from kraft cardstock and assemble the base of the box
- leave the cover unassembled and cover it with white gesso
- adhere old book pages with gel medium
- add color with Daler-Rowney Pearlescent Liquid Acrylic (Waterfall Green)
- apply Liquitex Ink (Muted Pink) through the ARTplorations Gridlocked stencil and Liquitex Ink (Muted Grey) through the ARTplorations Dots all over stencil
- stamp some arrows from the STAMPlorations Mixed Media Grunge set and some Sheet Music from the STAMPlorations Scribbly Splattery Grunge set with Archival Ink (Watering Can)
- add the word "NIBS" using the STAMPlorations Sketchy Alphabet set and Archival Ink (Black Soot)
- as a final step splatter on some Daler-Rowney Pearlescent Liquid Acrylic (Black)
Here are some more pictures:
I hope you got inspired and don't forget to join us for our Mixed Media Challenge over at the STAMPlorations Blog. The theme is always anything mixed media except a card. You must use at least one stencil (any brand) in your project. The Linky closes at the end of the month.
Yours,
