today, I'm joining Milka's World Space Week Blog Hop and these are my creations.
On the first card I used the STAMPlorations Little Robots stamp set:
- stamp the adorable little robot and the sentiment from the STAMplorations Little Robots set with Versafine Clair Morning Mist onto a piece of smooth white cardstock
- mask off the robot and stamp the planet surface from the Clearly Besotted Stamps Out of this World set with that same grey ink
- color the scene with Derwent Coloursoft Pencils and Zest-it
- add highlights with a white gel pen
- cut an edge at the top of the panel using one of the My Favorite Things Stitched Basic Edges
- add color to the background panel with Distress Oxide Ink (Blueprint Sketch, Black Soot) and a Mini Ink Blending Tool
- remove some color through the ARTplorations Mini Stencil Oh my Stars! with the help of a baby wipe
- mist the background with Pearlized Water and flick on some white splatters using watered-down white acrylic paint
- adhere both panels to a cardbase
This is my second creation using the Gerda Steiner Designs Alien Invasion and Blast off stamp sets:
- create a double slider mechanism using the My Favorite Things Double Slider Loop Slots, the My Favorite Things Stitched Rounded Rectangle STAX, the pull tab from the My Favorite Things Blueprints 29 die set, a strip of a plastic bag and double-sided foam adhesive
- stamp the Pull here from the Lawn Fawn Push here set with Versamark onto the pull tab and heat-emboss it with WOW! Bright White Super Fine embossing powder
- stamp the space ship, the planets, the alien, the sentiment and some stars from the Gerda Steiner Designs Alien Invasion and Blast off sets
- add color using Delta, Touch Twin Brush and Copic Markers
- add extra shading with Prismacolor Colored Pencils and highlights with a white gel pen
- mount the slider onto a kraft cardbase with some stars stamped on the outer edges
