today, I would like to show you a watercolor card with summerly sunflowers.
- stamp three large sunflowers and six large leaves from Lawn Fawn Our Friendship grows with Versafine Onyx Black on watercolor paper - use the masking technique; in retrospect, I think the Versafine Vintage Sepia would have also been a good choice
- use Distress Re-Inkers to make your own watercolors (12 drops plus 2,5 ml of water) - on this card I used Squeezed Lemonade, Scattered Straw, Spiced Marmalade, Bundled Sage, Mowed Lawn, Antique Linen, Frayed Burlap, Gathered Twigs, Pumice Stone
- add some Perfect Pearls (Sunflower Sparkle) to the paint used to color the flowers and mix some with Vintage Photo to add some final paint splatters
- stamp the sentiment from the same stamp set with Versamark and heat-emboss with Zing Chestnut embossing powder
- adhere watercolor panel to white cardstock
- the addition of bumblebee sequins with DIY gluedots and the use of a 1'' corner rounder finishes the card
This is a closeup showing you all that sparkle and shine:
Here is a picture of the palette with my ready-to-use Re-Inker watercolor paints.
I would like to link this card up to the following challenges:
