Just for you Butterfly

Hi there,

welcome to this month's Skipping Stones Design Tip/Technique Blog Hop. This time I would like to show you how to create a vibrant background with Distress Inks and a piece of acetate:

• stamp the butterfly from the Skipping Stones Design Heartsong stamp set with Versamark onto a piece of Strathmore Bristol Vellum 300 and heat-emboss it with WOW! Bright White Super Fine embossing powder
• cut out a stitched panel using the Memory Box Stitched Rectangle Layers
• press your Distress Ink Pads (Seedless Preserves, Wilted Violet) onto a piece of acetate and mist it with your Mini Mister
• press the acetate onto the panel and continue to repeat the process until you are satisfied with the result
• stamp the sentiment from Skipping Stones Design Hearty Hello with Versafine (Onyx Black) - I simply cut the stamp apart because I wanted a two-line sentiment and I used my DIY Stamp Positioner to double stamp it for an extra crisp impression
• add Pretty Pink Posh Sequins (4mm, 6mm Sparkling Clear) as final embellishments before mounting the panel onto a light grey cardbase
