It takes a big Heart to shape little Minds

Hi there,

I created these two teacher appreciation cards for the Mennys Bastelshop Inspiration Week with the topic "Reading/School" - "Lesen/Schule" using the adorable Mama Elephant School Rules Stamp Set:

• stamp some of the adorable images from the Mama Elephant School Rules set with Lawn Fawn Crunchy Leaf Ink
• color the images with Spectrum Noir Triblend Markers and add extra shading Faber-Castell Polychromos Pencils
• stamp the sentiments onto the little blackboards with Versamark and heat-emboss them with WOW! Bright White Super Fine embossing powder - for a chalky blackboard look I used some real chalk
• stamp the My Favorite Things Whimsical Woodgrain onto a kraft cardstock stitched background panel with Versamark and heat-emboss it with WOW! Bright White Super Fine embossing powder as well
• use some Nuvo Crystal Glaze on the glasses of the bunny
• cover the cardbase with some patterned paper

I created this Teacher Appreciation Card for Anjas Basteltraum:

• stamp the adorable teacher bunny and the blackboard from the Anjas Basteltraum Häschenschule set with Versafine Vintage Sepia onto a square panel of watercolor paper
• color the image with Derwent Inktense pencils and a waterbrush
• apply Distress Ink Hickory Smoke through the Clearly Besotted Stamps Build it stencil
• mask off a narrow strip and add color with Distress Ink Ground Espresso
• ink up the rest of the floor with Distress Ink Gathered Twigs
• for more texture stamp woodgrain pattern from the Tim Holtz Lumberjack stamp set with Distress Ink Gathered Twigs into the floor area
• add Nuvo Crystal Glaze to the glasses of the bunny
• stamp the sentiment from the Mama Elephant School Rules set with Versamark onto the blackboard and heat-emboss it with WOW! Bright White Super Fine embossing powder
• add some chalk for a chalkboard effect
• cut out some My Favorite Things Stitched Square Scallop Frames from kraft cardstock and patterned paper and add it onto the colored panel
• adhere patterned paper to the cardbase and add a banner cut from patterned paper underneath the square panel before adhering it to a cardbase

Hi there,

I created this chalkboard tag using the Karten-Kunst Stars in a Row die set:

• cut out two Karten-Kunst Tags - one from black and one from pink cardstock
• cut out the Karten-Kunst Stars in a Row from the black tag
• add black splatters to the pink tag
• stamp the Karten-Kunst Script Background with Versamark onto the black tag and heat-emboss it with Frosted Crystal embossing powder
• use white chalk to create a chalkboard effect
• adhere the black tag onto the pink tag
• stamp the sentiment from the Karten-Kunst Aus der Schreibmaschine 2 set with Versamark and heat-emboss it with white embossing powder
• thread pink and black twine through the hole of the tag

1 Stamp - 10 Tags ... Part 9 - Chalkboard

Hi there,

this is the ninth tag of my little series "1 Stamp - 10 Tags" for the Karten-Kunst Blog with another Tim-Holtz-technique:

• cut a tag from watercolor paper
• cover the tag with black chalkboard paint
• stamp the flower and the sentiment from Karten-Kunst Gartenblumen with Versamark and heat-emboss with Ranger Frosted Crystal embossing powder - this powder melts matte with a bit of tooth to grab the chalk
• cover the tag with white chalk and wipe away the excess with a paper towel - repeat these steps until you are satisfied with the outcome
• add faux stitching with a white gel pen
• thread twine through the hole of the tag
