Go Wild!

Hi there,

I would like to show you a fun Birthday Card using the brand new Gerda Steiner Designs stamp sets:

• color the ostrich from the Gerda Steiner Designs Party Animals stamp set and the giraffe, the elephant and the car from the Gerda Steiner Designs Go wild stamp set (which will come out real soon) with ZIG Clean Color Real Brush Pens, Distress Markers and a damp watercolor brush
• add highlights with a white gel pen
• color the little sentiment banner with ZIG Clean Color Real Brush Markers as well and add faux stitching with a Memento Dual Marker (Gray Flannel)
• create a background on a stitched panel cut from Strathmore Bristol Smooth Paper using Distress Ink (Mowed Lawn), Distress Oxide Inks (Peeled Paint, Cracked Pistachio) and water from your Mini Mister
• add a strip of dark grey cardstock to the left side of the panel before adhering it to a white cardbase

Hi there,

this is my fourth card as a Special Party Guest at Seize the Birthday. This week our Topping is Clean and Simple:

• cut out a panel from watercolor paper using the Memory Box Stitched Rectangle Layers
• stamp one of the cats from Katzelkraft Les chats russes and the large balloons from WPLus9 Party Animal with Versafine (Smokey Gray) and color the images with ZIG Clean Color Real Brush Pens and a damp brush
• stamp the sentiment from Clearly Besotted Stamps Many Mini Messages with Avery Elle Pigment Ink (Aquamarine)
• add the string around the cat's tail with a Memento Marker (London Fog) - I did that after finishing my watercoloring because the Memento Markers are not waterproof

Hi there,

connected through our love for card making, blogging and being from Germany we (Cornelia from Stempel Spass and I) decided to create a monthly project within predefined requirements. We are going to show you the result every 3rd Sunday of the month and this is our sixth transatlantic get-together!

Our requirements this time were:

"Shaker & Animal"

Make sure to hop over and take a look at Cornelia's creation.

• stamp the cute little cow from My Favorite Things The Whole Herd with Memento (Tuxedo Black)
• create a mirror-stamped image of the cow by stamping it on the backside of a large acrylic stamp or on the back of an unmounted rubber stamp and stamp that on a piece of Perfect Coloring Paper as well; the lines won't be too crisp but you can always go over them with your Memento Marker (Tuxedo Black)
• color both images with Delta Markers
• cut out the heart from Avery Elle Geek Love from a Neenah Desert Storm Kraft cardbase and stamp the first part of the sentiment from Lawn Fawn Birthday Tags and the second part of the sentiment from Mama Elephant Happy Everything with Versafine (Vintage Sepia)
• color a background using Distress Inks (Tumbled Glass, Salty Ocean, Bundled Sage, Mowed Lawn) and the  Hero Arts Cloud Pattern Stencil
• use the Photo Sleeve Fuse Tool to create a flat shaker pocket containing the background and shimmery hearts
• cut the Avery Elle Numbered Balloons from glitter cardstock and attach them to the tails of the cows with silver twine

today, I would like to show you the card that I created for my grandmother's best friend who will turn 95 on May 10th:

• stamp the large and the small sunflower from Lawn Fawn Our Friendship grows with Distress Ink (Spun Sugar) and color the images with Distress Re-Inkers (Spun Sugar, Dried Marigold, Worn Lipstick, Shaded Lilac, Tumbled Glass)
• ink up the edges with Distress Ink (Pumice Stone)
• mat the watercolor paper panel onto Distress Cardstock (Pumice Stone)
• cut out a scribbly circle from The Lilypad Randomly Cut Cut Files from vellum
• stamp the first part of the sentiment from Hero Arts All Occasion Messages and the second part of the sentiment from Clearly Besotted Stamps Many Mini Messages with Versamark on pink smooth cardstock and heat-emboss both with WOW! Bright White Super Fine embossing powder
• cut the left end into a banner shape and add faux stitching to the right side with a Memento Marker (Gray Flannel)

today, I would like to show you this colorful birthday card that I created for a little girl who will be turning 4 this Friday:

• stamp the milkshake from Lawn Fawn Here's the Scoop and the hummingbird from Lawn Fawn Gleeful Gardens with Memento (Tuxedo Black) on Perfect Colouring Paper and create a mirror-stamped image of the hummingbird by stamping it on the backside of a large acrylic stamp or on the back of an unmounted rubber stamp and stamp that on a piece of Perfect Coloring Paper as well; the lines won't be too crisp but you can always go over them with your Memento Marker (Tuxedo Black)
• color the images with Delta Markers
• cut out a vellum circle and add faux stitching with a Memento Marker (Gray Flannel)
• cut out a star from wood veneer, stamp the sentiment from Lawn Fawn Birthday Tags and heat-emboss it with clear embossing powder
• create a background on Neenah Desert Storm Kraft Cardstock by first applying Hero Arts Unicorn White Pigment Ink through the My Favorite Thing Large Polka Dots stencil; offset the stencil a little bit and add an ombre range of Distress Ink (Picked Raspberry, Worn Lipstick, Spun Sugar); ink up the edges with Distress Ink (Worn Lipstick)
• use kraft cardstock as a base
• add a little dot of Glossy Accents to the cherry for more shine and dimension

today, I would like to show you this cute little card with a vintage feel to it:

• stamp the tree from Lawn Fawn Critters in the 'Burbs with Versafine (Smokey Gray) on watercolor paper and mask it; stamp a second tree using the same ink
• cut out a hill shape and color it using Distress Ink (Bundled Sage, Mowed Lawn) and the Mini Ink Blending Tool
• stamp the cute little cat from the same stamp set on watercolor paper with Versafine (Smokey Gray) and create a mirror-stamped image by stamping the cat on the backside of a large acrylic stamp or on the back of an unmounted rubber stamp and stamp that on a piece of watercolor paper as well; the lines won't be too crisp but you can always go over them with your Memento Marker (Gray Flannel)
• stamp part of the sentiment from Lawn Fawn Gleeful Gardens with Versafine (Vintage Sepia) on the hill shape
• color the images with Distress Re-Inker (Shabby Shutters, Mowed Lawn, Antique Linen, Tumbled Glass, Gathered Twigs, Pumice Stone, Black Soot, Spun Sugar) and a waterbrush
• ink up the edges with Distress Ink (Antique Linen, Vintage Photo) to make the whole piece look like an old photograph
• distress a piece of patterned paper from the Maja Design Vintage Spring Basics paper pad using a Paper Distresser and Distress Ink (Vintage Photo)
• adhere everythig on a kraft cardbase

Hi there,

today, I have got another card that I would like to show you. I wanted to create my own Argyle background for a while now and here is the result. It took me some time but it was totally worth it - don't you think?

• use dark kraft cardstock as a cardbase
• start stamping the smallest diamond from Avery Elle Rounded Diamonds with Hero Arts Shadow Ink (Orange Soda, Tide Pool) on Neenah Desert Storm light kraft cardstock
• stamp a stitched line from Technique Tuesday In Stitches over this background with Ranger Adirondack Dye Ink (Latte) in order to create an Argyle pattern
• stamp hello from Avery Elle Modern Leaves with Versamark on dark kraft cardstock and heat-emboss with Zing! Chestnut embossing powder
• add faux stitching around the banner using Memento Dual Marker (Rich Cocoa)
• adhere banner using foam tape and add three sequins from Doodlebug Design (Tangerine, Swimming Pool) as a final touch
