Hi there,

I created this cute kraft tag for the Karten-Kunst Blog:

• cut out a tag with the help of one of the tag dies from the Karten-Kunst Tags set from Neenah Desert Storm kraft cardstock
• stamp some flowers from the Karten-Kunst Blümchen Meer set with Adirondack Latte
• cut out the hallo from black cardstock using the Karten-Kunst Lucky Alphabet Lower Case die set
• add a little heart to the center of the "o" and cover it with Stickles Christmas Red
• thread two strands of twine through the hole of the tag

here is another creation using the fun new Gerda Steiner Designs Pool Piggies stamp set:

• color one of the adorable Gerda Steiner Designs Pool Piggies with Faber-Castell Albrecht Dürer Pencils and a damp watercolor brush
• cut out a tag from watercolor paper and create a background with Distress Ink (Tumbled Glass) and Distress Oxide Ink (Broken China)
• cut out a smaller piece with the same tag die and create a beach with the help of one of the My Favorite Things Stitched Snowdrifts dies - ink up the edges with Distress Ink (Gathered Twigs)
• stamp the palm trees from the Paper Smooches Get outta Town set and the cocktail from the My Favorite Things Penguins in Paradise and color the images with watercolor pencils as well
• stamp two sea gulls from the same Paper Smooches set with Versafine (Smokey Gray)
• cut out a second tag from patterned paper from the Echo Park Summer Bliss 6x6 paper pad and layer it slightly offset behind the main tag
• cut out a stitched panel from Neenah Desert Storm kraft cardstock and stamp a background with the help of the Judi Kins Papyrus stamp and Adirondack Dye Ink (Latte)
• stamp the sentiment from the Market Street Stamps set Tikki Time with Versafine (Vintage Sepia)
• thread blue and natural twine through the hole of the tag

Hi there,

I have created this cute card for the Karten-Kunst Blog:

• stamp the two snails and the daisy from the Lawn Fawn Gleeful Gardens stamp set with Memento (Tuxedo Black) and color the images with Delta and Touch Twin Markers
• cut out two squares - one from blue and one from green patterned paper from the Lawn Fawn Let's Polka petite paper pad - using the My Favorite Things Stitched Mini Scallop Square STAX
• create a stitched hillshape from the green square with the help of the My Favorite Things Stitched Snowdrifts
• stamp the little envelopes from the same stamp set directly onto a kraft cardbase and thus create a background using Adirondack Dye Ink (Latte)
• stamp the sentiment from the same set with Versamark and heat-emboss it with WOW! Birght White Super Fine embossing powder
• round all four corners with a 1'' corner rounder

Love you a Latte - Lawnscaping June Blog Hop

Hi there,

I am part of the Lawnscaping June Blog Hop and this is my creation:

• stamp the postcard from Lawn Fawn You've got Mail on a piece of watercolor paper and color it with Distress Inks (Antique Linen, Brushed Corduroy)
• stamp the sentiment from Lawn Fawn Love you a Latte with Versafine (Vintage Sepia) directly to the postacard panel
• stamp two cups from the same stamp set with Memento (Tuxedo Black) on Perfect Colouring Paper and color the images with Delta Markers; add Wink of Stella Clear Glitter as a finishing touch
• cut out six frames from white cardstock and one frame from patterned paper from the Lawn Fawn Let's Polka Mon Amie petite paper pack; glue the frames on top of each other and add a layer of acetate before adding the patterned paper frame - by doing so you created a very sturdy shaker element
• fill the shaker element with Doodlebug Design Bon Bon Sequins and puzzle all the pieces together
• create a custom-made background by stamping the little coffee bean from the Lawn Fawn Love you a Latte set on a kraft cardbase with Adirondack Dye Ink (Latte)

Hello,

I would like to show you another Christmas card that I created:

• cut out a window from paper from the My Mind's Eye Necessities Wood 6x6 paper pad
• create a background on watercolor paper using Distress Inks (Tumbled Glass, Milled Lavender, Stormy Sky, Broken China)
• apply Viva Decor Embossing Paste (Pearl White) through the Memory Box Tiny Snowflakes Stencil
• stamp the cute snowman from Artemio 10001232 with Versafine Onyx Black on white cardstock and color the image with Lyra Rembrandt Polycolor Pencils, Zest-it and a white gel pen
• stamp the sentiment on a  piece of vellum with Versamark using Lawn Fawn Sweet Christmas and Lawn Fawn Jessie's ABCs and heat-emboss with metallic purple embossing powder
• stamp the Hero Arts Designer Woodgrain on a kraft cardbase with Adirondack Dye Ink (Latte)
• as a final touch, I decided to punch a hole at the top of the window as if it were a tag and I added a piece of twine through that hole

Hi there,

here is another card that I would like to show you:

• stamp cute little bear from Paper Smooches Chubby Chum Pals with Versafine Onyx Black on watercolor paper
• use earth stamp from Paper Smooches Space Cadet as a balloon and "celebrate" from Paper Smooches Scripty Sayings as a balloon string
• color with Prismacolor Colored Pencils and Zest-it
• cut the panel to size and add faux stitching with a black Pitt Artist Pen
• cover the balloon with Wink of Stella Clear Glitter and put Glossy Accents on top
• add googly eyes to the cute little bear
• use kraft cardstock as a cardbase and create your own background using small pieces from the following Paper Smooches stamp sets: Scripty Sayings (small heart), Space Cadet (star and three tiny stars), Sugar Rush (three tiny circles); stamp with Adirondack Dye Ink (Latte) for a tone-on-tone look
• round the top right and the bottom right corner with a 1'' corner rounder

Here is a close-up of the cute little bear:

This image is one of my husband's favorites and with his birthday coming up this card is the perfect gift.

Hi there,

today, I have got another card that I would like to show you. I wanted to create my own Argyle background for a while now and here is the result. It took me some time but it was totally worth it - don't you think?

• use dark kraft cardstock as a cardbase
• start stamping the smallest diamond from Avery Elle Rounded Diamonds with Hero Arts Shadow Ink (Orange Soda, Tide Pool) on Neenah Desert Storm light kraft cardstock
• stamp a stitched line from Technique Tuesday In Stitches over this background with Ranger Adirondack Dye Ink (Latte) in order to create an Argyle pattern
• stamp hello from Avery Elle Modern Leaves with Versamark on dark kraft cardstock and heat-emboss with Zing! Chestnut embossing powder
• add faux stitching around the banner using Memento Dual Marker (Rich Cocoa)
• adhere banner using foam tape and add three sequins from Doodlebug Design (Tangerine, Swimming Pool) as a final touch

I used birds, wood, flowers, a heart and the colors pink, green and yellow.


The sentiment "Ganz liebe Grüße" is German and means something like "Very Dear Greetings".

Hi,

I was really looking forward to the new Lawnscaping Challenge but at that time I didn't know how hard it would be ... it was so hard to decide which new technique to try. I made a list first:

• lift distress or dylusions ink with wet stencil
• distress ink splatter stamping
• embossing powder over embossing paste
• megaflakes on a colored background

I decided to go with the embossing powder over embossing paste but that does not mean that I won't try the others on my list some time soon.

 

 

I took a picture at an angle as well, in order to make the texture visible.

First, I used embossing paste on watercolor paper and sprinkled the embossing enamel on top. Since I am quite impatient, I used my heat tool right away, already knowing that this will lead the embossing paste to create even more texture. The tag was just a little too white for me at that time. For this reason, I put some distress ink on. I looked for some matching patterned paper to create my shadow tag. I decided on a tone on tone kraft background and a white embossed sentiment. For the sentiment I used another technique that I wanted to try: masking to create an individual sentiment. I used the first part from the Into the Woods set and the "you" from the Let's roll set.

Hi,

here is my second card for today. I am going to link it up to the Keep it simple! #35 Challenge: Stripes.

I created my own background using kraft cardstock, the stars from the Teeny Tiny Backdrops set and the Adirondack inkpad Latte. I just bought this recently and it is perfect for tone on tone stamping on kraft.
Then, I cut stripes from watercolor paper and colored them directly with the Distress inkpads. After letting them dry I added Glossy Accents and Distress Dry Glitter Clear Rock Candy.
For the sentiment I cut out two tags - one slightly bigger than the other. I added Distress ink to the bigger one and used it as some kind of shadow. As a final touch I added twine.

I hope you like the outcome.
