  • stamp the mouse from the Lawn Fawn You're Just my Type set with Lawn Fawn Crunchy Leaf and cut it out as well
  • color the images with Delta, Touch Twin Brush and Copic Markers and add extra shading with Faber-Castell Polychromos pencils
  • cut out a scalloped background panel from Gmund Beer Paper Weizen

Yeti Ornament

Hi there,

I created this tag/ornament for the Happy Little Stampers Christmas Challenge and isn't this Yeti simply adorable?

  • stamp one of the yetis from the Mama Elephant Me and my Yeti set with Versafine Onxy Black and use the ScanNCut to cut it out with a large border around it
  • I removed the watercolor paper from the cutting mat and positioned a piece of patterned paper on it and cut the shape of the yeti again in order to glue it to the backside for a nice finished look
  • color the image with Faber-Castell Albrecht-Dürer pencils and a damp watercolor brush
  • add highlights to the eyes and the horns with a white gel pen
  • cut out a heart from pink glitter paper and place into the yeti's hands
  • punch in a tiny hole above the yeti's head
  • thread a piece of teal twine through the hole of the ornament

Have a christmasy day.

Naughty or Nice Maze

Hi there,

it's time for a Holiday Challenge over on the Addicted to Stamps and More Blog:

  • stamp the little girl and the presents from the My Favorite Things Jingle all the Way set with Memento (Tuxedo Black) and color the images with Delta, Touch Twin Brush and Copic Markers
  • add highlights with a white gel pen
  • I cut out five maze shapes with my Brother ScanNCut and glued them on top of each other - color the top layer with a matching green Alcohol Marker
  • adhere the maze to a piece of patterned paper from the Crate Paper Snow & Cocoa 6x6 paper pad
  • cut out a stitched base from white cardstock and a stitched panel from kraft cardstock
  • take the kraft piece and cut out a rectangle slightly bigger then the maze and cover this window with a piece of acetate
  • add some interest to the top layer with the help of the My Favorite Things Whimsical Woodgrain and Avery Elle Pigment Ink (Kraft)
  • I used three layers of foam adhesive to connect base and top layer with the maze shape in between - don't forget to add the little metal ball before closing everything up
  • stamp the sentiment and some stars from the My Favorite Things Gift Tag Greetings with Versafine (Vintage Sepia)

I can't wait to see your creations in the gallery.

Hallo - Hello

Hi there,

I would like to show you this colorful card over on the Karten-Kunst Blog:

  • when I saw Jennifer McGuire's wonderful balloon card, I knew I had to re-create it and here is how I did it
  • cut out the Karten-Kunst Große Texte Hallo from black cardstock and run this die-cut through your ScanNCut, choose to cut a frame around the sentiment, remove the die cut and place a piece of watercolor paper on the cutting mat and press cut
  • cut out a stitched rectangle around this frame cut and place it in the center
  • use a balloon die (I chose one from the Lawn Fawn Party Balloons set) and cut it from a piece of acetate to create your own DIY stencil
  • apply several colors of Distress Ink (Squeezed Lemonade, Spiced Marmalde, Festive Berries, Lucky Clover, Salty Ocean, Shaded Lilac) through your stencil with a Mini Ink Blending Tool until the whole panel is filled with colorful balloons
  • use a black Pitt Artist Pen and a rule to draw in the balloon strings
  • cover the black sentiment with several layers of clear embossing powder
  • cut a slightly larger stitched panel from grey cardstock and cover the area that would be behind the frame cut with double-sided adhesive
  • glue a sequin background onto the grey panel
  • lay a piece of acetate behind the frame cut and put the layers together - now all the sparkling sequins will show through the frame cut
  • use Glossy Accents to glue the sentiment into the frame
  • as a final step adhere all the layers to a white cardbase

Leave a little sparkle wherever you go.

Joy Reindeer Tag

Hi there,

we are starting a new Challenge over at Addicted to Stamps and More and I would like to show you this fun Christmas Tag:

  • cut out a round tag using the My Favorite Things Tag Builder Blueprints 6 die set and patterned paper from the My Mind's Eye Sugar Plum 6x6 paper pad
  • cut out "Joy" from watercolor paper - I created my own cutfile for the ScanNCut - and the antlers from the Miss Kate Cuttables Boy Reindeer
  • color the sentiment and the antlers with Distress Markers and blend the colors with a damp watercolor brush to create an ombre effect
  • cover both pieces with three layers of clear embossing powder
  • age the tag a bit by inking up the edges with Distress Ink (Vintage Photo) and by randomly stamping the Prima Marketing Salvage District 3x4 Clear Stamp (Item: 584726) with Versafine (Vintage Sepia)
  • thread natural twine through the hole of the tag

Have a christmassy day.
