I created this string shaker card for Mennys Bastelshop using the Mama Elephant Beary Good Day stamp set:

• stamp one of the bears and the cloud from the Mama Elephant Beary Good Day set with Gina K. Designs Obsidian
• color the images with Spectrum Noir Triblend Markers, add extra shading with Faber-Castell Polychromos pencils and highlights with a white gel pen
• create a background using the Hero Arts Cloudy Sky Scene Dies, Distress Oxide Ink Tumbled Glass, one of the Lawn Fawn Puffy Cloud Borders, transparent thread and seed beads
• stamp the sentiment from the same set with Distress Oxide Ink Tumbled Glass

Herzlichen Glückwunsch - Happy Birthday

Hi there,

Gerda Steiner has released the fabulous new Frogs stamp set with English, Spanish and German sentiments and over the next three weeks I will show you my creations with the Gerda Steiner Designs German Froesche set. This joyful birthday card is my second creation:

• create a - as I call it - controlled shaker panel with the help of smooth white cardstock, a frame die, a grass border die, a cloud border die, invisible thread, blue seed beads, double-sided foam adhesive and acetate
• add color with Distress Oxide Ink (Salty Ocean, Lucky Clover) and a Blending Brush
• color one of the frogs and the crown from the Gerda Steiner Designs Frogs set with Alcohol Markers - add extra shading with Faber-Castell Polychromos Pencils
• use a white gel pen for highlights in the eyes and freckles on the cheeks
• add the sentiment strip with a stitching detail on the left

Pastel Felt Easter Egg

Hi there,

I created another cute little felt Easter Egg for Elizabeth Craft Designs:

• cut out two Easter Eggs from felt using dies from the Elizabeth Craft Designs Elegant Easter Eggs Small set
• embellish the egg with a little wreath cut with the help of one of the dies from the Lawn Fawn Mini Wreath die set and some tiny flowers from the Elizabeth Craft Designs Adventure Edges 2 die set
• add sequins and seed beads for sparkle and even more dimension

Hi there,

I created this fun Cactus Shaker Card for the Elizabeth Craft Designs Blog:

• stamp one of the Cacti from the Elizabeth Craft Designs Cacti set with Memento Tuxedo Black and color it with Delta, Touch Twin Brush and Copic Markers
• cut out panel from white cardstock using one of the Elizabeth Craft Designs Stitched Rectangles dies and cut a circle into it using one of the Elizabeth Craft Designs Stitched Circles dies 
• create a shaker element using acetate and double-sided foam adhesive
• fill the shaker with light green, dark green and clear seed beads and close it with patterned paper from the ModaScrap Wood Effect 6x6 paper  pad
• stamp the sentiment from the same set with Versafine Onyx Black
• adhere the card to the card base using Elizabeth Craft Designs clear double-sided adhesive

Happy Day Owl Shaker Tag

Hi there,

this is my newest creation for the Karten-Kunst Blog:

• cut out the tag from the My Favorite Things Tag Builder Blueprints 5 twice - once from watercolor paper and once from acetate
• cut out the open version of this tag using the same die set three times - once from watercolor paper and twice from foam rubber
• create a background on the background tag using Distress Inks (Tumbled Glass, Broken China) and spritz it with water from your Mini Mister for extra texture
• cut out the Paper Smooches Birch Trees from watercolor paper and color the outlines with ZIG Clean Color Real Brush Pens
• glue the birch trees to the background 
• color the front frame with the same colors of Distress Ink 
• stamp the cute little owl from the Avery Elle Woodland Wonders stamp set with Versafine (Smokey Gray) and color the image with ZIG Clean Color Real Brush Pens and a waterbrush
• cut out a banner from watercolor paper using a die from the My Favorite Things Tag Builder Blueprints 5 die set 
• stamp the sentiment from the same Avery Elle set onto the banner using the same grey ink - heat-emboss the sentiment with clear embossing powder
• ink up the sentiment banner with Distress Ink (Tumbled Glass, Broken China)
• fill the shaker element with glitter, blue micro beads and clear seed beads
• assemble the shaker tag
• dye a piece of seam binding with Distress Ink (Tumbled Glass) and thread it through the hole of the tags

Plane Shaker Tag

Hi there,

today, we are starting our Anything Goes Challenge over at Addicted to Stamps and More:

• cut one of the tags from the My Favorite Things Tag Builder Blueprints 4 die set once from watercolor paper and once from acetate
• cut a tag frame from patterned paper from the Avery Elle The Brights Collection 6x6 patterned paper pad and once from foam
• create a background on the watercolor paper piece with Distress Ink (Tumbled Glass)
• add clear, light blue and medium blue seed beads before closing the shaker element
• stamp the cute plane from The Alley Way Stamps Priceless Joy with Memento (Tuxedo Black) and color the image with Delta Markers and Wink of Stella Silver Glitter; add Glossy Accents to the three windows
• thread a piece of natural twine through the hole of the tag

Dreams are Magical Fairy

Hi there,

everything is Magical over at Cupcake Inspirations this week:

• color the Oddball Art Big Eye Dragonfly Fairy Girl with Prismacolor Colored Pencils and Zest-it
• add a little shimmer with Wink of Stella White Glitter
• cut out a circle from a piece of turquoise cardstock using one of the Avery Elle Double Pierced Circles
• stamp the sentiment from Lili of the Valley Fairy Wishes and some dragonflies from the Waffle Flower Lotus stamp set with Versafine (Smokey Gray) directly to the turquoise panel
• adhere a piece of acetate behind the circle and surround it with a double layer of foam tape
• fill the shaker element wíth seed beads and sequins
• close the shaker element with the main panel
