Stamp Connection #22

Hi there,

connected through our love for card making, blogging and being from Germany we (Cornelia from Stempel Spass and I) decided to create a monthly project within predefined requirements. We are going to show you the result every 3rd Sunday of the month and this is our 22nd transatlantic get-together!

Our requirement for this meet-up was:
Valentine's Day

This time we have a special guest. I invited the wonderful Wiebke from KomMa-designed to share her Valentine's Day creation with us. So make sure to visit her blog by clicking on this link.

• create a little envelope from patterned paper
• I took a 6,5'' square and scored it at 1 3/4'' on the left and right side, at 3/8'' at the bottom and at 1 1/4'' at the top
• shape the flap with the help of one of the CUTplorations ATC Tag Builder dies
• cut out the CUTplorations Peace Love Joy die from pink cardstock and cut it apart
• cover the sentiment with the Pico Embellisher (Shimmer)
• stamp some images from The Greeting Farm Wood Friends and Cuddly Thanks sets and color them with Delta, Touch Twin Brush and Copic Markers
• add details with a white gel pen and more shading with Faber-Castell Polychromos pencils

Mermaid Adventure

Hi there,

we are starting a new Color Challenge over at Cupcake Inspirations:

• color the adorable mermaid from The Greeting Farm with ZIG Clean Color Real Brush Pens and a waterbrush
• add Wink of Stella Clear Glitter to the image
• cut out a tag from watercolor paper and adhere some tissue paper with the help of Multi Medium Matte in random spots
• cover the tag with gesso and color the background using Gelatos (Aqua Dolce, Snow Cone, Watermelon)
• remove some of the color through the Tim Holtz Layering Stencil Bubble
• tint modeling paste with Distress Ink (Peacock Feathers) and apply it through the Tim Holtz Layering Stencil Stars
• ink up the edges of the tag and of a piece of torn paper from the Maja Design Vintage Summer Basics 6x6 paper pad
• adhere the mermaid using foam adhesive and add the sentiment from the Idea-ology Small Talk sticker set
• dye a piece of seam binding with Distress Ink (Peacock Feathers), thread it through the hole of the tag and tie it into a bow

this week the topic for the Cupcake Inspirations Challenge is Lace:

• color the lovely The Greeting Farm Unicorn with Prismacolor Pencils and Zest-it
• add details with a white gel pen, Wink of Stella Glitter Pens and Wink of Stella Clear Glitter
• cut out a square panel using the My Favorite Things Inside & Out Stitched Rounded Square STAX
• create a background using Jaxell Soft Pastels, the Hero Arts Cloudy stencil and a white pompon
• stamp the sentiment from Avery Elle Swim Team with Versafine (Onyx Black)
• emboss the Tim Holtz Layering Stencil (Doily) on a strip of white cardstock and color portions with Avery Elle Pigment Ink (Pixie, Sea Glass, Aquamarine)
• use a concave corner punch on the top corners
• ink up the edges of the panel with Avery Elle Pigment Ink (Aquamarine)
• stamp the My Favorite Things Swiss Dot Background onto a white cardbase with Avery Elle Pigment Ink (Silver Fox)
• round the right corners with your 1'' corner rounder
