Hi there,

I created this watercolor watermelon card for Elizabeth Craft Designs:

• paint a watermelon using Twinkling H20 Watercolors - add white seeds and highlights with a white gel pen
• cut the sentiment twice from black cardstock with the help of the Elizabeth Craft Designs Blackboard Alphabet - add highlights with a white gel pen as well
• add a strip of black and white patterned paper to the left side of the panel before adhering it to a white cardbase

I hope you got inspired to draw some vibrant summer fruit and creating custom sentiments.

Überraschung - Surprise

Hi there,

I would like to share another fun birthday card over on the Karten-Kunst Blog with you:

• stamp one of the adorable fish from the Avery Elle That Bites set with Versafine (Smokey Gray) and color the image with Twinkling H20s (Pewter, Mango Mamba, Rose Petal, Teal Zircon) - I used my ZIG Clean Color Real Bruh Pens to add some shading
• cut out two stitched rectangles - one from watercolor paper and one from smooth white cardstock
• cut out the scallopped My Favorite Things Peek-a-Boo Circle Window from the smooth piece and stamp the little bubbles from the same stamp set with different Altenew Crisp Inks (Puffy Heart, Caribbean Sky, Ocean Waves, Warm Sunshine)
• add the sentiment with the help of the Karten-Kunst Große Worte Überraschung stamp set and Versafine (Smokey Gray)
• use the watercolor piece as a background and add color with Distress Inks (Salty Ocean, Peacock Feathers) and the Mini Ink Blending Tool - add some water droplets using the Mini Mister for extra texture
• cover the opening with actetate and create a shaker element with the help of double-sided foam tape
• fill the shaker element with Pretty Pink Posh Sequins (4mm Cornflower, 4mm and 6mm Aquamarine)

Today is full of Possibilities

Hi there,

today, we are showcasing our favorite vintage image over at the A Day for Daisies Blog:

• color the cute A Day for Daisies Vintage Fairy Ring Two image with Delta, Touch Twin Brush Markers and a white gel pen
• add Wink of Stella Clear Glitter to her wings and her dress
• create a background on a tag cut from Mixed Media cardstock using Distress Paints (Milled Lavender, Shaded Lilac, Dusty Concord, Iced Spruce, Tumbled Glass)
• stamp the Lavinia Stamps Spotty Toadstools with VersaMagic (Eggplant) and color them with Twinkling H20s (Twilight, Cafe Latte) and a white gel pen
• tap the Clear Emboss it Dabber onto the Memory Box Stardust stencil and heat-emboss the resulting stars and dots with WOW! Bluetiful embossing powder
• add some splatters with Finetec Mica Watercolors (Sterling Silver) before adhering the fairy
• ink up the edges of the tag with Distress Ink (Dusty Concord) and dye a piece of seam binding with that same ink color before threading it through the hole of the tag and tying it into a bow
• add the sentiment using Idea-ology Small Talk Stickers

Deck the Halls Bird

Hi there,

today, I would like to show you my creation with the From the Heart Stamp of the Month:

• color the From the Heart Stamps Deck the Halls Birdbrain with Twinkling H20s, ZIG Clean Color Real Brush Pens and a white gel pen
• add some light blue splatters
• stamp the sentiment from Gerda Steiner Designs Deck the Halls with Brilliance (Pearlescent Sky Blue, Mediterranean Blue)
• add some stars from the same stamp set with the same ink colors
• cut out a stitched panel using the Memory Box Stitched Rectangle Layers
• since I don't like to waste anything, I used a piece of paper on which I cleaned my brayer during another project as a mat

today, I would like to share this cute one layer watercolor card with you:

• stamp the cat from Newton's Nook Newton's Day Dream and additional flowers (for this purpose I masked off the flowers of the main image) from Newton's Nook Wagon of Wishes with Versafine (Onyx Black)
• add the sentiment with the same ink using Newton's Nook Holiday Wishes and Mama Elephant Happy Everything
• watercolor the image with Twinkling H2Os (sea glass, emerald, bashful blue, medierranean, mango mamba, pink cloud, rose petal, playful peony, periwinkle, hunter grey)
• add a frame with a ruler and a black Pitt Artist Pen

• create a background on watercolor paper using Twinkling H2Os (Rose Petal, Ginger Peach, Wine & Roses) 
• add some hearts by applying Hero Arts Unicorn White Pigment Ink through a DIY Heart Stencil - let dry thoroughly
• stamp the sentiment from Winnie & Walter The Big, the Bold, and the Happy (I just received it last week) as the one focal point with Versamark and heat-emboss with Judi Kins Egyptian Gold embossing powder
• add background layers using patterned paper from the Little Yello Bicycle Fern & Forest Girl 6x6 paper pad
• punch out three hearts from the leftover part of the watercolor background panel and cover them with Wink of Stella Clear Glitter; adhere them to the card and partially hide one of them under the watercolor panel

Karten Kunst - Yeti

Hello,

I created another card for the Karten-Kunst Blog:

• create a background on Mixed Media paper with Twinkling H20s
• stamp the snowflakes from Lawn Fawn Let it Snow with Versamark and heat-emboss with white embossing powder
• cut two hills from sturdy white cardstock, cover them with Versamark and heat-emboss them with sparkling embossing powder
• stamp the cute little Yeti from Lawn Fawn Yeti, Set, Go with Versafine Onyx Black and color the image with Lyra Rembrandt Polycolor Pencils and Zest-it - add some details with a white gel pen
• stamp the sentiment from Mias Stempelküche 365 Tage with Versamark on a strip of vellum and heat-emboss with silver embossing powder
• mat the panel on a piece of patterned paper and adhere everything on a white cardbase

Karten-Kunst - Endlich Sommer

Hi there,

I promised exciting news - here they are: today, I am sharing my first creation as a Karten-Kunst Design Team Member with you.

• use kraft-cardstock as a base
• stamp Karten-Kunst Hibiscus on watercolor paper with Versamark and heat emboss with clear embossing powder
• color the panel with Twinkling H20s
• cut the panel into stripes, ink the edges with Distress Ink (Dusty Concord) and the Mini Ink Blending Tool and adhere them to the card base with foam dots
• stamp sentiment from Mias Stempelküche 365 Tage on vellum with Staz-On Jet Black and wrap around the card (if you ink up your stamp with Versamark before putting on the Staz-On, the stamp will be easier to clean - "Endlich Sommer" is German and means "Finally Summer")
• round the top left corner with your corner rounder

It's a good day ... Step-by-Step

Hi,

since I would love to be part of the Mama Elephant Challenge Team, I created this cute and shiny card for the Mama Elephant Challenge.

Because it would mean so much to me, I want to make this blog post special. I will show you step by step how I created the card and especially the background.

When I looked at the inspiration photo, I thought the following: light blues and greens, transparency and salt. This is the recipe for my card.

As a first step, I created the background using Twinkling H20s and salt.

The salt absorbs the color underneath and creates some kind of halo around the place on which it has been sprinkled.
For transparency, I added a piece of vellum underneath this unique background and placed it on a light blue piece of cardstock.

Here you see the finished card base.

I added an embossed sentiment in the left corner. I was a little bit scared to put it directly onto the card. If I messed up, I would have to do it all over again.

I added faux stitching lines around the top layer of the cardbase with a perfect pen and added perfect pearls for that extra shine.

I stamped the ballons and the bunny with Versafine Smokey Gray and embossed with pastel embossing powder to mute it down even more. Afterwards, I colored the balloons and the bunny and added some flock to its tiny tail. The aqua-colored bow had to be tiny as well. For this reason, I only took two strands from the twine.Before adhering the colored pieces, I went around them with a distress marker to get rid of all the white.

There was something missing in the top left corner and since this is a birthday card for a little girl, you can never go wrong with some extra sparkle. On my finished card you can see that I added three sequins. I also used some black on the eyes and some pink on the cheeks.

I hope you like the card and have a chance to create something with the supercute Mama Elephant stamps.
