Turner Syndrome Awareness Blog Hop

Hi there,

today, I am part of the "It's a Girl Thing" - Turner Syndrome Awareness Inaugural Blog Hop and this is my creation. It uses a few colors from the Turner Syndrome Official Color Board:

  • create a decorative strip with the help of Yupo, Alcohol Inks (Sail Boat Blue, Stonewashed, Juniper, Pearl Mixative) and one of the CUTplorations Lacy Edges dies
  • stamp the sentiment and some hearts from the STAMPlorations It's a Girl Thing - Sunshine set with Versafine Onyx Black
  • color the hearts with Faber-Castell Polychromos pencils

Turner Syndrome is a genetic disorder where a female is born with only one X chromosome, instead of two, leaving her with life-long medical issues and learning disabilities. This condition occurs one in 2.500 female births worldwide, but is more common among pregnancies that do not survive to full term. That is why Turner Syndrome Females are considered MIRACLES!

Nineteen caring sponsors and several Design Team Members came together to bring Turner Syndrome Awareness to the public. On details how you might win any of the fabulous prizes, please visit Lori's TS Homepage.

Thanks for learning about Turner Syndrome.

  • I added a Yupo circle onto the reveal wheel and it was colored with Alcohol Inks (Flamingo, Sunshine Yellow, Aqua, Stonewashed, Silver Mixative)
  • stamp the little bunny and the sentiment from the Lawn Fawn Upon a Star set with Memento Tuxed Black and partially die cut the sweet little critter
  • color the bunny with Delta, Touch Twin Brush and Copic Markers
  • add extra shading with Prismacolor Colored Pencils and highlights with a white gel pen
  • add a the little arrow from the Reveal Wheel die set
  • adhere the panel onto a dark grey cardbase
