Just for You Alcohol Ink Tag

Hi there,

I created this Alcohol Ink Tag for the Karten-Kunst Blog:

  • cut out a tag from Lanavanguard
  • create a background with Alcohol Inks (Willow, Botanical, Everglades)
  • cut out one of the Karten-Kunst Scribble Leaves from champagne foiled cardstock
  • stamp the sentiment from the Karten-Kunst Aus der Schreibmaschine 2 set with Versamark on a strip of dark green cardstock and heat-emboss it with WOW! Metallic Platinum Super Fine embossing powder
  • thread two strands of twine through the hole of the tag and tie one of them into a little bow

Alcohol Ink Week

Hi there,

it's Alcohol Ink Week over at the Karten-Kunst Blog 


and this is my creation:

  • create a background on Lanavanguard using Alcohol Inks (Shell Pink, Aqua) and turquoise Deco Foil
  • cut out a panel using one of the Karten-Kunst Stitched Rectangles DIN A6
  • adhere the panel to a turquoise cardbase
  • cut out a 15 from turquoise cardstock and silver glitter paper using the Karten-Kunst Lucky Numbers die set
  • add more texture to the numbers by stamping the Karten-Kunst Blooming Plants with Versamark and heat-embossing them with WOW! Polished Silver Super Fine embossing powder
  • stamp the sub-sentiment from the Karten-Kunst Aus der Schreibmaschine set with Versamark and heat-emboss it with that same silver embossing powder
  • ink up the bottom part of the numbers and the left and right side of the sub-sentiment strip with Distress Ink Peacock Feathers

Ahoi Seashell

Hi there,

I created this Alcohol Ink Seashell-Tag for the Karten-Kunst Blog:

  • create a background on a Karten-Kunst Tag cut from Lanavanguard Yupo paper using Alcohol Inks (Aqua, Laguna) and Alcohol Ink Blending Solution
  • stamp one of the Karten-Kunst Meeres-Schnecken with Archival Ink Jet Black
  • stamp the sentiment from the Karten-Kunst Aus der Schreibmaschine 3 set with Versamark onto a strip of turquoise cardstock and heat-emboss it with WOW! Bright White Super Fine embossing powder
  • thread three strands of twine through the hole of the tag

Happy New Year

Hi there,

this is my second New Year Card using the new Karten-Kunst stamp sets:

  • add color to a piece of Lanavanguard or Yupo paper using Alcohol Inks (Stream, Gunmetal Mixative)
  • stamp the firework from the Karten-Kunst Feuerwerk set and heat-emboss it with silver and turquoise embossing powder
  • stamp the sentiment from the same set with Versamark on a piece of black cardstock and heat-emboss it with white embossing powder
  • mat the panel onto a piece of black cardstock before adhering it to a cardbase

Thanks Cat

Hi there,

I used one of my all time favorites the Gerda Steiner Designs Cat with Balloons on this card:

  • color the Gerda Steiner Designs Cat with Balloons with ZIG Clean Color Real Brush Pens and a damp watercolor brush
  • add highlights with a glass dip pen
  • create an accent strip on Lanavanguard Paper using Alcohol Inks (Cool Peri, Pink Sherbet, Aqua)
  • adhere the strip to a white cardbase, add the cat on top and cut out the thanks from the Lawn Fawn Gift Box die set from Tonic Luna Silver cardstock
  • add little dots to the right side of the cat using DIY Distress Gouache and a glass dip pen
  • round the top right corner with a 1'' corner rounder

Love Birds

Hi there,

it's time for the Stamp Tramps September Blog Hop over at Skipping Stones Design and this is my creation:

  • create a background with Alcohol Inks (Pink Sherbet, Raspberry, Wild Plum) and Alcohol Ink Blending Solution on a piece of Lanavanguard
  • cut out a heart from a white cardbase
  • adhere the Alcohol Ink panel behind the cutout
  • stamp the Love Birds from the Skipping Stones Design Let it be set with Archival Ink (Black Soot) - I used my MISTI because the Lanavanguard is a rather slick surface and I didn't want to mess things up
  • use Delta Markers and the Distress Marker Spritzer to customize Doodlebug Design Sprinkles (Lily White)

1 Die 8 Looks: Part 1 - Black Silhouette against Alcohol Ink Background

Hi there,

I am starting a new series over at the Karten-Kunst Blog. I would like to show you how to create 8 different looks with just one die. This is Part 1 - Black Silhouette against Alcohol Ink Background:


Before I write down the step by step tutorial I would like to show you the die I used on all of my 8 projects. It is the Memory Box Sketch Daisy. It consists of 4 pieces: the outline, the flower and two leaves.

  • create a background using Alcohol Inks (Juniper, Cloudy Blue, Stonewashed, Botanical) and Alcohol Ink Blending Solution on a stitched panel of Lanavanguard 
  • cut out the Memory Box Sketch Daisy from black cardstock 
  • mat the panel onto a piece of black cardstock and create a 1/16'' border with the help of the Mini Perfect Layers Tool
  • add a sentiment from the Ideaology Small Talk Sticker set

Be awesome today

Hi there,

it is time for another Stencil Sunday over at the STAMPlorations Blog:

  • create a flower background using Alcohol Inks (Botanical, Raspberry, Mushroom) and canned air on a tag cut from Lanavanguard
  • remove some of the ink through the ARTplorations Botanical Lush stencil with the help of Alcohol Ink Blending Solution
  • stamp the script from the STAMPlorations Mixed Media Elements set with Archival Ink (Black Soot) for more texture
  • dye Opaque Matte Texture Paste with Distress Ink (Forest Moss) and apply it through the ARTplorations Dots all Over stencil
  • use a black Alcohol Markers and the Distress Marker Spritzer to add some splatters
  • cut out the CUTplorations Awesome word die twice from black cardstock and glue them on top of each other
  • use a Dymo Label Maker for the rest of the sentiment
  • cover the black carstock first with Spectrum Noir Clear Overlay and after this has dried with the Pico Embellisher (Clear)
  • add some more splatters with a golden marker and the Distress Marker Spritzer
  • dye a piece of seam binding with Distress Ink (Forest Moss) and thread it through the hole of the tag

Love Butterfly

Hi there,

it's time for the Stamp Tramps August Blog Hop over at Skipping Stones Design and this is my creation:

  • create a marbled background using Dye Inks and alcohol - apply some Distress Ink (Spun Sugar, Shaded Lilac, Broken China, Tumbled Glass) and Hero Arts Shadow Ink (Mint Julep) onto your craft sheet and add some Alcohol; use a stitched panel of Lanavanguard to pick up the mixture; continue until you are happy with the result
  • emboss one of the My Favorite Stitched Wonky Circle STAX onto the panel
  • stamp the beautiful butterfly from the Skipping Stones Design Imagine stamp set with Versamark and heat-emboss it with WOW! Bright White Super Fine embossing powder
  • color the butterfly with Distress Markers and a waterbrush
  • cut out the Lawn Fawn Scripty Love from white cardstock and color it with Delta Markers; apply Deco Foil Adhesive to the bottom of the sentiment and cover it with Deco Foil (Lilac)
  • add some Little Things from Lucy's Cards Sequins (Sparkling Rainbow) and gemstones as final embellishments

Stamp Connection #15

Hi there,

connected through our love for card making, blogging and being from Germany we (Cornelia from Stempel Spass and I) decided to create a monthly project within predefined requirements. We are going to show you the result every 3rd Sunday of the month and this is our 15th transatlantic get-together!

We have invited a Guest Designer this time. So please, make sure to visit Aileen's Blog.

Our requirement for this meet-up was:
"use Alcohol Inks"

  • create a landscape on Lanavanguard paper using Alcohol Inks (Stonewashed, Cloudy Blue, Juniper, Lake Mist)
  • cut out a stitched square with the help of one of the My Favorite Things Stitched Square STAX
  • add some yellow Alcohol Inks (Lemonade, Sunshine Yellow) and some grey and white Alcohol Ink (Slate, Snowcap Mixative) to another piece of Lanavanguard and cut out a sun and a cloud using the WPlus Sunshine Layers
  • stamp the little fairy house from the Lawn Fawn Fairy Friends stamp set with Memento (Tuxedo Black) and color the image with Delta and Touch Twin Brush Markers
  • cut out a stitched panel from Neenah Desert Storm Kraft cardstock with the help of one of the Waltzingmouse Stamps Stitched Rectangles 
  • stamp the sentiment from the Lawn Fawn Home Sweet Home stamp set with Versamark and heat-emboss it with WOW! Bright White Super Fine embossing powder
  • adhere the whole panel to a craft cardbase using foam adhesive

  • cut out a banner from black cardstock using one of the My Favorite Things Blueprints 27 dies, stamp the sentiment from the same stamp set with Versamark and heat-emboss it with WOW! Bright White Super Fine embossing powder
  • cut out the happy from purple glitter foam rubber with the help of the Memory Box Paintbrush Happy die
  • add a thin strip of black cardstock and a strip of patterned paper from the My Favorite Things Rainbow Stripes 6x6 paper pad to the left side of the panel before adhering it to a white cardbase
