we are starting a new Mixed Media Challenge over on Happy Little Stampers and this time we would like to see some texture:

• cover a woodpanel with three layers of white gesso - let each layer dry before applying the next
• cover the whole panel with Tissue Wrap Melange - use Matte Medium to adhere this next layer
• use a brayer to apply three different shades of turquoise (DecoArt Laguna, DecoArt Indian Turquoise, Distress Paint Evergreen Bough)
• stamp the letters from the Paper Artsy JOFY 54 set with Memento Luxe (Gray Flannel)
• add the little garden scene by using the JOFY sets 24, 32, 42 and Archival Ink (Black Soot)
• color the images with Derwent Inktense Pencils and a damp watercolor brush
• ink up the edges of the whole panel with Distress Ink (Evergreen Bough)
• add the sentiment created with a Dymo Label Maker

Hi there,

we are starting a new challenge over at the A Day for Daisies Blog and the topic is "add pearls or beads". I decided to go with microbeads on my creation:

• color the A Day for Daisies Mermaid Vintage White Lingerie with Delta, Touch Twin and DIY Markers
• cove a Manila Tag with gesso and create a background using Gelatos (Fig, Elderberry, Metallic Icing)
• since the Gelatos are water-reactive I covered this layer with clear gesso to avoid smudging
• stamp JOFY Mini 16 with Memento Luxe (Sweet Plum) several times and color the circles with Peerless Watercolor and a waterbrush
• cut some drywall tape into circles and add them with Multi Medium Matte for more texture
• apply Texture Paste through a Tim Holtz Layering Stencil (Bubbles) 
• mix Glazing Liquid with Fresco Finish Paint (Dolly Mix) and apply the mixture over the tag, let dry for a little bit and swipe it away with a damp baby wipe; repeat the same process with Distress Paint (Chipped Sapphire)
• dye a piece of seam binding with the rest of the acrylic paint left on the craft sheet
• ink up the edges with Distress Ink (Chipped Sapphire)
• add the sentiment using a Small Talk sticker and ink up the edges with Distress Ink (Black Soot)
• apply some transparent liquid glue around the sentiment and add silver metallic microbeads
• ink up the edges randomly with Versamark and heat-emboss them with Ranger Sticky enbossing powder; add Ranger Shiny Foil Transfer Sheets (Vintage) as a finishing touch

Hi there,

connected through our love for card making, blogging and being from Germany we (Cornelia from Stempel Spass and I) decided to create a monthly project within predefined requirements. We are going to show you the result every 3rd Sunday of the month and this is our 10th transatlantic get-together!

Our requirements for this meet-up were:
"Teal/Turquoise & Heart(s)"

• cover a piece of Mixed Media Cardstock with Dylusions Ink Sprays (Black Marble, Vibrant Turquoise, Calypso Teal)
• partially stamp the heart balloon from the Avery Elle Ellie stamp set with VersaMagic (Midnight Black)
• remove ink inside all the hearts using a paintbrush with clean water
• re-color the hearts with Dylusions Ink Spray (Vibrant Turquoise) and add highlights with a white gel pen
• stamp the little monster from Paper Artsy JOFY Collection 42 with Versafine (Onyx Black) and color it with Dylusions Ink Sprays (Calypso Teal, Vibrant Turquoise), ZIG Clean Color Real Brush Pens and a damp brush
• ink up three of the four edges with Versamark and heat-emboss them with WOW! Metallic Silver embossing powder
• cut the Paper Smooches Love Word 2 from turquoise glitter foam rubber

this time we would like you to use some paint on your Mixed Media project for our Happy Little Stampers February Mixed Media Challenge:

• cover a wooden door hanger with grey chalk paint and let this coat dry thoroughly
• apply Fresco Finish Paint (Turquoise) as a second layer and let dry also
• sand the edges in order to let the wood and the grey come through again
• stamp the large dots from the Dina Wakley Textures stamp set with the same turquoise paint for a subtle background
• stamp the butterfly and some flowers from the JOFY Collections 09, 11 and 24 with Memento Luxe (Gray Flannel) and heat-emboss everything with clear embossing powder
• color the images with Derwent Inktense Pencils and a damp brush
• add some Stickles (Glisten, Cool Mint)
• cut out the Lawn Fawn Scripty Hugs twice from Grunge Paper and layer one on top of the other
• color the sentiment with Distress Paint (Cracked Pistachio, Peacock Feathers) for an ombre finish - cover the sentiment with a coat of Wink of Stella Clear Glitter

this week we are having a Photo Inspiration Challenge over at Addicted to Stamps and More:

• stamp two twigs from the JOFY Collection 09 with Memento (Tuxedo Black) on Perfect Colouring Paper and color the berries with Delta Markers and Wink of Stella Clear Glitter
• cut out a panel using the Memory Box Stitched Rectangle Layers 
• cut out a little bow with the help of the Waffle Flower Tiny Twine Bow
• stamp the sentiment from Memory Box Merry little Christmas with Versafine (Crimson Red)
• add tiny snowflakes from Lawn Fawn Making Frosty Friends with Versacraft (Cool Gray)
• cover the berries with Glossy Accents and mount the panel onto a grey notecard
