Snow much Fun

Hi there,

I created this cute Winter Scene using the Anjas Basteltraum Frostige Schneeballschlacht stamp set:

  • stamp the raccoon behind the tree and some snowballs from the Anjas Basteltraum Frostige Schneeballschlacht set with Gina K. Designs Obsidian onto a panel of watercolor paper
  • color the images and the background with Schmincke Horadam watercolors
  • add extra shading with Faber-Castell Polychromos pencils and highlights with a white gel pen
  • apply texture paste through the Clearly besotted Stamps Snow Day stencil
  • stamp the sentiment from the same set with Versamark onto a strip of blue cardstock and heat-emboss it with WOW! Bright White Super Fine embossing powder
  • adhere the panel to a cardbase covered with patterned paper

Have a wonderful day.

Hugs,

Choose Kindness

Hi there,

I created this Art Journal Page using some wonderful products from STAMPlorations and I would like to invite you to join our brand new Stencil Challenge which starts today:

  • press a watercolor panel into some leftover texture paste on your craft mat and let this layer dry thoroughly
  • create a background using acrylic paints and some Alcohol Inks
  • add some texture with the help of the STAMPlorations Mixed Media Elements and the Scribbly Splattery Grunge sets and Versafine Clair Fallen Leaves
  • cut out one of the CUTplorations Bloomdala Bliss: Felicity shapes from turquoise foil paper
  • apply Versamark through the ARTplorations Foiled again mini stencil and heat-emboss it with WOW! Midas Touch embossing powder - it stuck to some of the stamping as well but I didn't mind that extra grungy effect
  • add the sentiment from the STAMPlorations Hey Sunshine sticker set - I adhered it to a piece of off white cardstock and inked up the edges with the brown ink that I used before

Have a wonderful day.

ARTplorations Stencil Blog Hop

Hi there,

it's time for another ARTplorations Stencil Blog Hop over on the STAMPlorations Blog featuring eight new stencil designs by the wonderful Sanna and these are my projects:

  • cut out the largest CUTplorations Manila Tag from sturdy white cardstock and cover it with white gesso
  • add a base coat of color with Paper Artsy Infusions Rocky Road
  • add some tissue paper using soft matte gel
  • stamp elements from the STAMPlorations Scribbly Splattery Grunge set and the STAMPlorations Mixed Media Grunge set with Archival Ink Black Soot
  • apply foil transfer gel through the brand new ARTplorations Leaves 1 stencil and let it dry thoroughly
  • run the whole tag and a piece of turquoise foil through the Mini Minc or a laminator
  • after doing so I found out that the foil adheres to the soft matte gel as well - for this reason I had to use sandpaper to get rid of the foil where I didn't want it
  • use a black Stabilo All pencil to darken the edges of the tag
  • add some splatters with watered-down white acrylic paint
  • stamp the STAMPlorations Dogwood Large with Versafine Smokey Gray onto a piece of confetti white card stock and color the image with Derwent Inktense pencils and a damp watercolor brush
  • use hot glue to adhere the flowers over a layer of vellum and corrugated cardboard
  • dye a piece of seam binding with Distress Stain Dried Marigold and Tea Dye and thread it through the hole of the tag
  • add a sentiment sticker at the top left

  • cut out the largest of the CUTplorations Luggage Tags from sturdy white cardstock and cover it with white gesso
  • apply texture paste through the fabulous new ARTplorations Senecio 1 stencil and let it dry thoroughly
  • add color using watered-down Distress Crayons (Scattered Straw, Spun Sugar, Shaded Lilac, Broken China)
  • add droplets with Color Bloom Tea Stain spray and little splatters with watered down graphite Stabilo All pencil
  • darken up the edges with the graphite Stabilo All pencils as well
  • stamp the giraffe from the STAMPlorations Tweet Love set and color it with Copic, Touch Twin Brush and Delta Markers
  • stamp the sentiment from the same stamp set with Versafine Onyx Black and add color to the sentiment strip with Distress Crayons (Spun Sugar, Broken China)
  • thread three strands of twine through the hole of the tag

Enjoy the rest of the hop. One winner will get a $20 gift certificate and two winners are allowed to choose three Sanna Lippert Designs stencils. The winners will be randomly drawn from comments left on the STAMPlorations blog and participating designers blogs. Commenting closes on December 4th, 2017.

Have a wonderful day.

Merry Christmas Reindeer Tag

Hi there,

this year I have the great honor to be a Guest Designer for Loll's Twelve Tags of Christmas Event and this is my creation:

  • cut out a tag from watercolor paper and cover it with white gesso
  • create a background using Distress Paints (Mowed Lawn, Festive Berries, Iced Spruce)
  • stamp one of the Gingham patterns from the Waltzingmouse Stamps Gingham and Co. stamp set with Memento Luxe (Rich Cocoa) and cover the tag with clear embossing powder - otherwise the ink would take quite long to dry on the painted surface
  • paint around the ARTplorations Christmas Reindeer mask with Dylusions Paint (Melted Chocolate)
  • paint only a frame around that mask with Dylusions Paint (Ground Coffee) for a stronger contrast and let this color fade into the background
  • apply golden Texture Paste through the ARTplorations Oh my Stars! Mini stencil and let it dry thoroughly
  • ink up the edges with Versamark and heat-emboss them with WOW! Metallic Rich Gold embossing powder
  • stamp the script from the STAMPlorations Mixed Media Elements set with Delicata (Golden Glitz) for even more texture
  • cut out the CUTplorations Merry Christmas phrase die from golden glitter cardstock and brown foam rubber; adhere the pieces on top of each other and use Multi Medium Matte to glue the sentiment to the bottom of the tag
  • dye a piece of seam binding with matching Distress Inks (Mowed Lawn, Festive Berries) and thread it through the hole of the tag
  • add splatters with Finetec Mica Watercolors (Inca Gold) as finishing touch

I hope you got inspired.
