today, we are showcasing our favorite vintage image over at the A Day for Daisies Blog:

• color the cute A Day for Daisies Vintage Fairy Ring Two image with Delta, Touch Twin Brush Markers and a white gel pen
• add Wink of Stella Clear Glitter to her wings and her dress
• create a background on a tag cut from Mixed Media cardstock using Distress Paints (Milled Lavender, Shaded Lilac, Dusty Concord, Iced Spruce, Tumbled Glass)
• stamp the Lavinia Stamps Spotty Toadstools with VersaMagic (Eggplant) and color them with Twinkling H20s (Twilight, Cafe Latte) and a white gel pen
• tap the Clear Emboss it Dabber onto the Memory Box Stardust stencil and heat-emboss the resulting stars and dots with WOW! Bluetiful embossing powder
• add some splatters with Finetec Mica Watercolors (Sterling Silver) before adhering the fairy
• ink up the edges of the tag with Distress Ink (Dusty Concord) and dye a piece of seam binding with that same ink color before threading it through the hole of the tag and tying it into a bow
• add the sentiment using Idea-ology Small Talk Stickers

Mixed Media Backgrounds: Part 4 - Book Page Collage

Hi there,

this is the fourth part of my series about Mixed Media Backgrounds for the Karten-Kunst Blog:

• cut out a tag from watercolor paper using the My Favorite Things Stitched Traditional Tag STAX and cover it with Gesso
• adhere torn book page scraps to the tag with the help of Multi Medium
• color the tag with Gelatos (Cotton Candy, Grape, Watermelon) and ink up the edges with Distress Ink (Dusty Concord)
• create texture by stamping the large dots from Dina Wakley Textures with Memento Luxe (Sweet Plum) and by applying Distress Ink (Dusty Concord) through the Memory Box Texture Dot Grid Stencil with a Mini Ink Blending Tool
• stamp the sentiment from Karten-Kunst Buchstabenblöcke with Versafine Onyx Black
• stamp the larger circles from Lavinia Stamps Zen Mini Stamps with Memento (Gray Flannel) and color the with Delta Markers  - adhere them to the tag with Multi Medium

Hi there,

today, I would like to show you this Mixed Media card:

• apply gesso to a piece of watercolor paper
• mix a small amount of Gelato (Guava) with Golden Acrylic Glazing Liquid and apply the mix through the Memory Box Drip Rings stencil - this will create a resist
• apply Gelato (Snow Cone) over this resist and fade the color out with a wet brush - let dry thoroughly
• cover the whole panel with Distress Paint (Brushed Pewter), spritz it with water in some places and start drying it with a heat gun, use a paper towel to absorb the wet paint and peel it off immediately thus creating an eroded metal finish
• stamp one of the Lavinia Stamps Zen Houses and Lavinia Stamps Zen Rose with Wendy Vecchi Archival Ink (Watering Can) and color the images with Derwent Inktense Pencils and a waterbrush
• ink up the edges with Wendy Vecchi Archival Ink (Watering Can) and mat the panel on a dark grey cardbase
• add the sentiment from Tim Holtz Small Talk and dye the sticker with Distress Ink (Pumice Stone, Spun Sugar, Tumbled Glass)

in this post for the Karten-Kunst Blog I am showcasing Lavinia Stamps:

• stamp Lavinia Stamps Zen Houses with Versafine Onyx Black on watercolor paper
• color the image with Derwent Inktense Pencils and a waterbrush
• add details with Pearl Makers and Glossy Accents 
• scrape some pigment off the watercolor pencils and dissolve it with water; dye texture paste with this mixture
• apply the texture paste with a palette knife onto a piece of watercolor paper and stamp the IndigoBlu Script Background into the wet paste
• ink the edges using Distress Ink (Pumice Stone) and the Mini Ink Blending Tool
• add the sentiment from the Tim Holtz Small Talk Stickers
• adhere the house using foam dots
• mat the finished panel on a black cardbase
