Merry Christmas Bauble

Hi there,

here is another Christmas project using one of the new Christmas dies for the Karten-Kunst Blog:

  • add color to smooth white cardstock using Distress Oxide Ink (Picked Raspberry, Peacock Feathers) and a Blending Brush
  • cut out the Karten-Kunst Wavy Ornament from this piece of cardstock
  • puzzle the bauble onto stitched silver foiled cardstock 
  • add some splatters with watered-down white acrylic paint
  • stamp the sentiment from the Karten-Kunst Kombi-Set Grüße 2 with Versafine Onyx Black onto a some colored cardstock as well
  • mat the panel onto a piece of purple cardstock before adhering it to a cardbase

Merry Christmas Car

Hi there,

I would like to show you this adorable little Christmas card that I created using the wonderfully versatile STAMPlorations Houses and several Lawn Fawn stamp sets:

  • stamp the little car from the Lawn Fawn Home for the Holidays set with Memento Tuxedo Black directly onto the cardbase
  • cut out the car leaving a small white border around it
  • stamp the houses from the STAMPlorations Houses set 
  • color all the images with Prismacolor Colored Pencils and Zest-it
  • add some texture to the cardfront with the help of one of the Lawn Fawn Stitched Trails dies
  • stamp some snowflakes from the Lawn Fawn Snow Cool set with Altenew Crisp Ink Arctic
  • adhere the car to the inside of the card with double-sided foam adhesive
  • stamp the sentiment from the Clearly Besotted Stamps Laugh out Loud: Christmas set with Versafine Onyx Black
  • when you close the card it will fit right through the opening thus completing the scene

Owl Christmas Ornaments

Hi there,

my son and I created these Owl Christmas Ornaments:

  • cut all the parts for the Elizabeth Craft Designs Owl and the tree stump from the Elizabeth Craft Designs Forest Accessories set from Elizabeth Craft Designs white Soft Finish Cardstock
  • color the elements with Delta, Touch Twin Brush and Copic Markers and extra-shading with Distress Ink (Pumice Stone, Hickory Smoke, Walnut Stain)
  • cut out one of the Elizabeth Craft Designs Dotted Scallop Circles from watercolor cardstock
  • create a background using Distress Ink (Shaded Lilac, Mermaid Lagoon, Chipped Sapphire), a Blending Brush, water droplets and splatters of watered-down white acrylic paint
  • cut out another Elizabeth Craft Designs Dotted Scallop Circle from patterned paper for the backside and a hill-shape with one of the Elizabeth Craft Designs Adventure Edges

Fox Holiday House Box

Hi there,

you can find lots of ideas for Home Decor & Gifts for the Holiday Season over on the Elizabeth Craft Designs Blog. I created this adorable little Holiday House Box:

  • cut out the Elizabeth Craft Designs Holiday House Box from speckled white cardstock
  • assemble the box using Elizabeth Craft Designs clear double-sided adhesive
  • cut out all the parts for the Elizabeth Craft Designs Fox from Elizabeth Craft Designs white Soft Finish Cardstock
  • color the fox with Distress Inks (Rusty Hinge, Antique Linen) and a Mini Ink Blending Tool
  • assemble the fox
  • stamp some trees from the Elizabeth Craft Designs Winter Bears set and the gifts from the Elizabeth Craft Designs Snowman & Gifts set and the Elizabeth Craft Designs Penguins set with Memento Tuxedo Black
  • color the images with Delta, Touch Twin Brush and Copic Markers and add extra shading with Faber-Castell Polychromos pencils
  • adhere all the different elements to the box

How old?

Hi there,

before I start showcasing some Christmas cards, I wanted to show you that you can use the Gerda Steiner Designs Ghosts set all year 'round:

  • stamp one of the ghosts from the Gerda Steiner Designs Ghosts set with Lawn Fawn River Rock and mask the image
  • create a background with Distress Oxide Ink (Black Soot, Evergreen Bough, Old Paper) and a Blending Brush
  • cut the panel in half
  • add some splatters to the lower part and stamp the sentiment from the same set on the upper part with Versafine Onyx Black
  • color the image with Faber-Castell Polychromos pencils
  • add a strip of turquoise glitter paper between the two parts and assemble the card

Vintage Snowman

Hi there,

I created this vintage Snowman Tag for the Karten-Kunst-Blog:

  • cut a tag from watercolor paper using one of the Karten-Kunst Tags dies
  • stamp the snowman from the Karten-Kunst Braver Schneemann set with Versafine Vintage Sepia
  • color the image with Distress Ink (Vintage Photo, Tumbled Glass)
  • cut out another tag from patterned paper and use the Karten-Kunst Torn Borders die set to create a top and a bottom border
  • thread a piece of twine through the hole of the tag

Christmas Tag Trio

Hi there,

I would like to show you this cute little Christmas Tag Trio:

  • cut out three tags from watercolor paper using three of the Lawn Fawn Winter Tiny Tags
  • cut the same shapes from patterned paper for the backside
  • stamp the sweet cat from the Lawn Fawn Christmas Dreams, one of the fairies from the Lawn Fawn Frosty Fairy Friends and the gingerbread man from the Lawn Fawn Sweet Christmas set with Versafine Onyx Black
  • color the images and the background with Derwent Inktense Pencils and a damp watercolor brush
  • add some glittery hole enforcers and twine as final embellishements

Simple Joys of Christmas

Hi there,

this is just a quick reminder of this month's Stencil Challenge over on the STAMPlorations Blog:

  • stamp one of the images from the STAMPlorations Homespun Christmas set with Versafine Clair Morning Mist
  • color the image with Derwent Inktense pencils and a damp watercolor brush
  • add splatters with watered-down white acrylic paint
  • cut out a stitched panel of grey cardstock and create a subtle plaid as a background using Distress Ink (Iced Spruce, Pumice Stone), Blending Brushes and the ARTplorations Plaid Maker stencil
  • stamp the sentiment from the same stamp set with Versamark and heat-emboss it with Ranger Liquid Platinum embossing powder

Hope your Fall is Joyful

Hi there,

I created this sweet Reveal Wheel Card for Gerda Steiner Designs:

  • stamp the adorable little mouse, some pumpkins and corn from the Gerda Steiner Designs Fall Mice set with Lawn Fawn Crunchy Leaf - use the masking technique for the mouse with the pumpkin
  • color the images with Delta, Touch Twin Brush and Copic Markers and add extra shading with Faber-Castell Polychromos pencils
  • add highlights with a white gel pen
  • cut out the Lawn Fawn Reveal Wheel from patterned paper from the Lawn Fawn Fall Fling 6x6 paper pad and from kraft cardstock
  • add a grass border cut from green cardstock with the help of one of the Lawn Fawn Meadow Borders dies
  • stamp the first part of the sentiment from the Lawn Fawn Reveal Wheel Holiday Sentiments with Versamark onto a strip of kraft cardstock and heat-emboss it with WOW! Bright White Super Fine embossing powder
  • stamp the second part(s) of the sentiment from the same set directly onto the Reveal Wheel with Versafine Vintage Sepia - add some splatters to the wheel with watered-down Distress Ink Vintage Photo
  • assemble the card using double-sided adhesive and double-sided foam tape

Stamp Connection #54

Hi there,

connected through our love for card making, blogging and being from Germany we (Cornelia from Stempel Spass and I) decided to create a monthly project within predefined requirements. We are going to show you the result every 2nd Sunday of the month and this is our 54th transatlantic get-together!

Our requirement for this meet-up was: "CAS Christmas" and I would like to show you this quick and easy Christmas Tag:

  • cut out one of the CUTplorations Tags #1 from Perfect Colouring Paper
  • stamp the Heindesign Herzlicher Weihnachtsbaum with Memento Tuxedo Black and color the image with Delta, Touch Twin Brush and Copic Markers
  • stamp the sentiment from the My Favorite Things Btty Bears set with Memento Tuxedo Black 
  • add some golden splatters with Finetec Mica Watercolor and some faux stitching at the bottom of the tag using one of the My Favorite Things Homespun Stitch Lines dies
  • thread some golden and natural twine through the hole of the tag

Love Bear

Hi there,

I created this sweet little shaker card using the new Elizabeth Craft Designs Honey Bear and Peek a Boo Love die sets:

  • cut out all the elements needed for the Bear and the frame using dies from the Elizabeth Craft Designs Honey Bear and Elizabeth Craft Designs Peek a Boo Love die sets from Elizabeth Craft Designs white Soft Finish Cardstock and woodgrain paper
  • color the elements with Delta, Touch Twin Brush and Copic Markers and add shading with Distress Ink (Brushed Corduroy, Picked Raspberry) and highlights with a white gel pen
  • turn the frame into a shaker using acetate and double-sided foam adhesive
  • adhere the shaker frame to a cardbase covered with patterned paper
