Rainbow Spring Card

Hi there,

I would like to show you this card with a cute spring scene and a rainbow background as inspiration for this month's Happy Little Stampers Watercolor Challenge:

  • cut a square piece of watercolor paper using one of the My Favorite Things Stitched Mini Scallop Square STAX
  • stamp the scene with stamps from the Avery Elle Woodland Wonders set and the Lawn Fawn Gleeful Gardens set and Versafine (Vintage Sepia)
  • color the images with Faber-Castell Albrecht Dürer pencils and a damp watercolor brush
  • add a sky background using watered-down Distress Oxide Ink (Broken China)
  • cut a panel from watercolor paper using the My Favorite Things Blueprints 20
  • create a rainbow background using Distress Oxide Inks (Worn Lipstick, Spiced Marmalade, Cracked Pistachio, Faded Jeans, Wilted Violet), a Mini Ink Blending Tool and water droplets from the Distress Sprayer
  • stamp the sentiment from the Karten-Kunst Capri Kirchliche Feste set with Versafine (Vintage Sepia)

Happy Easter

Hi there,

I would like to show you this sweet Easter Card over on the Karten-Kunst Blog:

  • stamp four of the adorable little bunnies from the Gerda Steiner Designs Hoppiness stamp set with My Favorite Things Extreme Black and color them with Copic, Touch Twin Brush and Delta Markers
  • add extra shading with Faber-Castell Polychromos pencils and highlights with a white gel pen
  • apply Distress Oxide Ink Frayed Burlap through the Tim Holtz Layering Stencil Gothic with a Mini Ink Blending Tool
  • use the Lawn Fawn Mini Picture Frames to cut out frames from patterned paper from the My Favorite Things Rainbow Stripes 6x6 paper pad and backgrounds from white cardstock
  • add color to the backgrounds with Alcohol Markers as well
  • add little hearts cut from glitter paper
  • cut the Karten-Kunst Vom Osterhasen ("From the Easter Bunny") three times from kraft cardstock and layer the die cuts on top of each other for extra dimension

Have an egg-stra special Day

Hi there,

here is another Easter Creation using the wonderful new Gerda Steiner Designs Peeking Easter Friends stamp set:

  • color the adorable little bunny from the Gerda Steiner Designs Peeking Easter Friends stamp set with Derwent Drawing Pencils
  • add highlights with a white gel pen
  • cut out a panel with the help of one of the Elizabeth Craft Designs Dashing Rectangles 
  • add clouds using the My Favorite Things Cloud stencil and PanPastel Phthalo Blue Tint
  • cut out a grass border using green cardstock and one of the Lawn Fawn Meadow Borders - add shading with PanPastel Permanent Green
  • use the sentiment from the same stamps set and cut out a banner shape around it

Happy Spring Tag Trio

Hi there,

today, I would like to show you this colorful tag trio over on the Elizabeth Craft Designs Blog:

  • cut out three tags from watercolor paper
  • add color using two shades of Distress Oxide Inks (Cracked Pistachio & Peacock Feathers, Salty Ocean & Faded Jeans, Worn Lipstick & Picked Raspberry) on each tag
  • sprinkle each tag with pearlized water for more texture and shine
  • stamp the sentiment from the Elizabeth Craft Designs Spring Sentiments set with Versafine Onyx Black
  • stamp little images from the Elizabeth Craft Designs Laundry Party set and the Elizabeth Craft Designs Garden Party set with Versafine Onyx Black and color them with Faber-Castell Polychromos Pencils
  • add Nuvo Crystal Glaze for more dimension and Wink of Stella Clear Glitter for more sparkle
  • thread two strands of twine through the holes of the tags

Happy Birthday Octopus

Hi there,

I would like to show you this fun underwater Birthday Card as inspiration for the Addicted to Stamps and More CAS Challenge:

  • stamp the octopus from the Lawn Fawn Critters in the Sea set and color the image with Delta, Touch Twin Brush and Copic Markers and add some extra shading with Jane Davenport Magic Wand Pencils
  • create a background on a stitched panel of watercolor paper with Distress Oxide Inks (Wilted Violet, Cracked Pistachio, Broken China)
  • cut out algae from watercolor paper using one of the Joy Crafts Under the Sea dies and color it with Distress Oxide Inks (Cracked Pistachio, Broken China)
  • stamp the sentiment from the Clearly Besotted Stamps Wild Thing set with Versafine (Onyx Black) and heat-emboss it with clear embossing powder

Refuse to feel broken

Hi there,

we are starting a new Challenge over on the Elizabeth Craft Designs Blog and this time it is all about Frames:


  • cut the ModaScrap Happy Frame from sturdy white cardstock four times and use a bone folder to crease the parts
  • cut the pieces to size - I want to create a 5x3,5 rectangular frame so I need to 5'' pieces and two 3,5'' pieces
  • assemble the frame pieces using Elizabeth Craft Designs Clear Double Sided Adhesive 6mm
  • use some corner to make sure that you get it all straight
  • cover the frame with white gesso
  • apply white crackle paste and let it dry thoroughly
  • color the frame with Distress Paint Weathered Wood
  • ink up the edges with Distress Ink Black Soot and emphasize the cracks and the raised areas with Prima Marketing Metallique Wax Brushed Iron
  • cut a background panel from sturdy white cardstock and color the background with Distress Paint Weathered Wood as well
  • add drips with watered-down Distress Paint Broken China and Picket Fence
  • create some texture with the help of a script stamp from the STAMPlorations Mixed Media Elements set and Archival Ink Watering Cam
  • add splatters with watered-down Distress Paint Black Soot
  • use a lid and Distress Paint Picket Fence to create circular marks
  • stamp the sentiment on tissue paper and add it to the bottom right corner with matte medium
  • cut out the ModaScrap Pair of Leaves 2 from Elizabeth Craft Designs Soft Finish cardstock Rich Black and adhere them to the panel

Flower Wreath

Hi there,

I created this flower wreath using some of the amazing Susan's Garden dies from Elizabeth Craft Designs:


  • cut a circle frame from brown cardstock using two of the Elizabeth Craft Designs Stitched Circles as a base
  • use the larger leaf from the Elizabeth Craft Designs Love in a Mist to cut the branches of the wreath from brown cardstock and glue them to the base
  • cut some Elizabeth Craft Designs Leafy Berry Branches from Elizabeth Craft Designs Soft Finish Cardstock and add color with Alcohol Markers
  • add the berries using Nuvo Crystal Drops Crushed Grape
  • add Elizabeth Craft Designs Anemones and Elizabeth Craft Designs Jasmines also cut from Elizabeth Craft Designs Soft Finish Cardstock and colored with Alcohol Markers
  • achieve the realistic texture by using the most amazing Susan's Garden Tool Set
  • cut the bow from the Elizabeth Craft Designs Spring Basket die set from cream felt and add it to the top of the wreath using hot glue

Wake up Easter Bunny

Hi there,

I created this fun Easter Card for the Karten-Kunst Blog:

  • cut out the word "Aufwachen" (wake up) with the help of the Karten-Kunst Stencil Alphabet from a stitched panel of watercolor paper
  • stamp the second part of the sentiment (Easter Bunny) using the Karten-Kunst Vom Osterhasen set and Versafine Onyx Black
  • create a little scene with the help of the Karten-Kunst Viecher im Winter set, the Easter Eggs from the Gerda Steiner Designs Hello Spring set and Versafine Smokey Gray
  • color the images with Faber-Castell Albrecht Dürer Pencils and a damp watercolor brush
  • mat the panel onto a piece of patterned paper from the Avery Elle Everyday Collection 6x6 paper pad before adhering it to a white cardbase

Dare to spread your Wings

Hi there,
it's time for another Stencil Sunday over on the STAMPlorations Blog.

  • cut out an ATC from kraft cardstock with the help of the CUTplorations ATC Tag Builder die set
  • I used another ATC from my stash and cut it slightly smaller
  • apply Distress Ink Black Sooth through the ARTplorations Some Birds stencil and heat-emboss them with clear embossing powder
  • add highlights to the edges with a white Stabilo All pencil
  • stamp the numbers from the STAMPlorations Mixed Media Elements set with Archival Ink Black Soot for extra texture
  • add white splatters with watered-down acrylic paint
  • adhere a printed sentiment using double-sided adhesive
