Vroom, Vroom - Part 1

Hi there,

I created this fun masculine card for Mennys Bastelshop using the Mama Elephant We Ride stamp set:

• stamp one of the adorable images from the Mama Elephant We Ride set with no-line coloring ink onto a panel of watercolor paper cut with one of the Tattered Lace Torn Edge Rectangles
• color the image and the background with Derwent Inktense pencils and a waterbrush
• add highlights with a white gel pen
• cut another panel and ink up all the edges with Distress Ink Pumice Stone
• stamp the sentiment from the same set with Distress Oxide Ink Pumice Stone
• add My Favorite Things Scribbles and Poppy Stamps Stitched Buttons cut from blue and grey colored cardstock as final embellishments - sew the buttons on with some thread

Tropical Vacation

Hi there,

Í used the My Favorite Things Tropical Toucans stamp set to create this colorful tropical card for Mennys Bastelshop:

• stamp a scene using the My Favorite Things Tropical Toucans stamp set and Ink on 3 Fadeout Ink - use the masking technique
• color the images with Derwent Inktense Pencils and a waterbrush
• add highlights with a white gel pen
• add some watered-down splatters with Distress Ink Tumbled Glass and ink up the edges of the panel with that same ink
• stamp the sentiment from the same set with Distress Oxide Ink Tumbled Glass
• add strips of patterned paper to the top and bottom of the panel before adhering it to a cardbase

Celebrate Jellyfish

Hi there,

on this card for Mennys Bastelshop I used the My Favorite Things Ocean-Sized Hugs stamp set:

• stamp an image from the My Favorite Things Ocean-Sized Hugs set with Gina K. Designs Obsidian and color it with Derwent Inktense Pencils and a waterbrush
• add highlights with a white gel pen and a Karin Decogel Star Sparks pen
• create a background using Distress Ink (Chipped Sapphire, Black Soot), foiled cardstock, vellum and colored cardstock
• run blue cardstock through your Big Shot in the Spellbinders Tiny Dots embossing folder
• add the sentiment using black cardstock, vellum and one of the CUTplorations Skinny Sentiments

Sending Ocean-Sized Hugs

it's Inspiration Week over at Mennys Bastelshop and this week's topic is "Kraft Cardstock". On my card I used lots of adorable images from My Favorite Things Ocean-Sized Hugs stamp set:

• stamp four images from the My Favorite Things Ocean-Sized Hugs set with Gina K. Designs Obsidian
• color the images with Derwent Inktense Pencils and a waterbrush
• add highlights with a white gel pen and a Karin Decogel Star Sparks pen
• stamp the sentiment from the same set with Versamark onto a strip of kraft cardstock and heat-emboss it with WOW! Colour Blend Verdigris embossing powder
• for the background I used the Taylored Expressions Bubbles embossing folder, the Time for Tea Designs Slimline Postage Stamp Frame die set, the Taylored Expressions Rolling Waves dies, blue cardstock and again kraft cardstock

• color the image with Derwent Inktense Pencils and a waterbrush
• add highlights with a white gel pen and a Karin Decogel Star Sparks pen
• stamp the sentiment from the Karten-Kunst Aus der Schreibmaschine 2 set with Versamark onto a strip of dark blue cardstock and heat-emboss it with WOW! Bright White Super Fine embossing powder

I created this Teacher Appreciation Card for Anjas Basteltraum:

• stamp the adorable teacher bunny and the blackboard from the Anjas Basteltraum Häschenschule set with Versafine Vintage Sepia onto a square panel of watercolor paper
• color the image with Derwent Inktense pencils and a waterbrush
• apply Distress Ink Hickory Smoke through the Clearly Besotted Stamps Build it stencil
• mask off a narrow strip and add color with Distress Ink Ground Espresso
• ink up the rest of the floor with Distress Ink Gathered Twigs
• for more texture stamp woodgrain pattern from the Tim Holtz Lumberjack stamp set with Distress Ink Gathered Twigs into the floor area
• add Nuvo Crystal Glaze to the glasses of the bunny
• stamp the sentiment from the Mama Elephant School Rules set with Versamark onto the blackboard and heat-emboss it with WOW! Bright White Super Fine embossing powder
• add some chalk for a chalkboard effect
• cut out some My Favorite Things Stitched Square Scallop Frames from kraft cardstock and patterned paper and add it onto the colored panel
• adhere patterned paper to the cardbase and add a banner cut from patterned paper underneath the square panel before adhering it to a cardbase

we are starting a new Stencil Challenge over on the STAMPlorations Blog and this is my creation:

• cut out a rectangular piece of watercolor paper and stamp the paint tubes from the STAMPlorations Art Expressions set with Versafine Clair Nocturne along the upper border
• stamp the sentiment from the same set with that same black ink
• color the paint tubes with Derwent Inktense Pencils and a damp watercolor brush
• add some splatters with watered-down black acrylic paint
• create your own patterned background paper by applying Distress Oxide Ink Black Soot through the ARTplorations Lattice stencil
• add a strip of black cardstock to the top and bottom of the watercolor panel before adhering it to the background

STAMPlorations has a new product line called Colorables. I would like to show you some projects using the Colorables Color me Blooms Spring Florals and the Colorables Color me Blooms A2 Card Front that I created together with my daughter Emily (11).

• color one of the STAMPlorations Colorables Color me Blooms Spring Florals with Spectrum Noir Triblend Markers and add extra shading with Faber-Castell Polychromos pencils 
• adhere the florals to a white panel and add black and white splatters
• the sentiment is from the CUTplorations Skinny Sentiments set cut from vellum and black cardstock

• stamp the sentiment from the STAMPlorations Softly set with Versamark onto one of the STAMPlorations Colorables Color me Blooms A2 Card Fronts and heat-emboss it with Ranger Liquid Platinum embossing powder
• add some stamping using the STAMPlorations Mixed Media Grunge, STAMPlorations Mixed Media Elements and the STAMPlorations Art Marks sets and Altenew Crisp Ink (Aqualicious, Teal Cave, Galactic Stream) and Versafine Clair Nocturne
• add a strip of black cardstock and a strip of patterned paper to the left side of the panel before adhering it to a cardbase

• stamp the sentiment from the STAMPlorations Softly set with Versamark onto one of the STAMPlorations Colorables Color me Blooms A2 Card Fronts and heat-emboss it with WOW! Metallic Gold Rich Super Fine embossing powder
• add some stamping using the STAMPlorations Mixed Media Grunge, STAMPlorations Mixed Media Elements sets and Altenew Crisp Ink (Wisteria, Hydrangea, Andromeda) and Versafine Clair Nocturne
• add a strip of black cardstock and a strip of patterned paper to the left side of the panel before adhering it to a cardbase

• cover one of the STAMPlorations Colorables Color me Blooms A2 Card Fronts with two layers of Schmincke Watercolor Ground and let it dry thoroughly
• color the image with Derwent Inktense Pencils and a damp watercolor brush
• add black and white splatters
• add a strip of patterned paper into the middle of the panel before adhering it to a cardbase

• cover one of the STAMPlorations Colorables Color me Blooms Spring Florals with two layers of Schmincke Watercolor Ground and let it dry thoroughly
• color the image with Derwent Inktense Pencils and a damp watercolor brush
• create a background on a panel of smooth white cardstock using the ARTplorations Shutters Mini stencil, Distress Oxide Ink Dusty Concord and a Blending Brush
• cut the CUTplorations Smile sentiment from black cardstock
• add strips of lilac cardstock and patterned paper to the left and right side of the panel before adhering it to a cardbase

• color one of the STAMPlorations Colorables Color me Blooms Spring Florals with Spectrum Noir Triblend Markers and add extra shading with Faber-Castell Polychromos pencils 
• adhere the florals to a white panel and add black and white splatters
• the sentiment is from the CUTplorations Skinny Sentiments set cut from vellum and lilac cardstock
• adhere the panel to a lilac cardbase
• ink up the edges with Distress Oxide Ink Dusty Concord and a Blending Brush

we are starting a new Stencil Challenge over on the STAMPlorations Blog and this is my creation:

• add some color to a white canvas with Dylusions Paint
• apply white embossing paste through the ARTplorations Trees stencil and let this layer dry thoroughly
• add some shading to the trees with Derwent Inktense Pencils and a damp watercolor brush
• stamp the dot pattern from the STAMPlorations Mixed Media Grunge set with Versafine Clair Nocturne along some parts of the border
• color a piece of white cardstock with Distress Oxide Ink Evergreen Bough and adhere a sticker from the STAMPlorations Inspirational #1 set
• add some splatters with watered-down Distress Paint Pumice Stone and Distress Stain Tarnished Brass
• adhere the sentiment to a layer of linen and burlap before adding it to the canvas

Throwback Thursday - Dots 'n Beans

this is my second Throwback Thursday Special Feature for the STAMPlorations Blog.
The inspiration for my projects was a tag that I created in April for a Stencil Sunday:

I liked the stenciled background for this coffee-themed tag and I decided to explore more ways of using this stencil and also create coffee-related projects.

• apply Nuvo Expanding Mousse Worn Linen through the ARTplorations Dots 'n Beans stencil and heat it with a heat tool
• add color with watered-down Distress Ink Ground Espresso
• cut out three stitched circles from smooth white cardstock with the die includes in the STAMplorations Coffee Petites set
• stamp three items from the same set with Memento Espresso Truffle and color them with Delta, Touch Twin Brush and Copic Markers
• add Nuvo Crystal Glaze to the coffee bean and Nuvo Glitter Accents Snowfall to the donut
• the sentiment is from the STAMPlorations Just Caffeinate sticker set
• add a strip of patterned paper from the My Favorite Things Dots & Stripes 6x6 paper pad to the left and the right of the panel before adhering it to a cardbase

• use a strip of leftover background from the previous project - distress one edge and cut the other with one of the CUTplorations Lacy Edges and Borders dies
• use the ARTplorations Dots 'n Beans stencil to emboss a piece of torn vellum 
• distress a piece of kraft cardstock and layer it behind the vellum before adhering it to a cardbase
• stamp the coffee cup from the STAMPlorations What's brewing set and color it with Derwent Inktense pencils and a damp watercolor brush
• stamp the sentiment from the same set with Versafine Clair Fallen leaves onto a sentiment strip and adhere it to the card
• add some splatters to the layered background with Distress Stain Tarnished Brass

• create a rainbow background on two CUTplorations Manila Tags using Distress Oxide Inks (Picked Raspberry, Carved Pumpkin, Squeezed Lemonade, Twisted Citron, Peacock Feathers, Salty Ocean) and some Blending Brushes
• use some stickers from the STAMPlorations Coffee Time set
• dye two pieces of torn seam binding with Distress Ink (Peacock Feathers, Salty Ocean) and thread them through the holes of the tags

• stamp a woodland scene using the Mama Elephant Dandelion Wishes set and My Favorite Things Hybrid Ink Grout Gray
• color the images with Derwent Inktense Pencils and a damp watercolor brush
• stamp the sentiment from the same set with Versafine Clair Nocturne
• layer the watercolor panel onto patterned paper from the Maja Design Walking in the Forest 6x6 paper pad before adhering it to a Neenah Desert Storm cardbase
