Shine On Slider Card

Hi there,

I created this fun slider card for the Karten-Kunst Blog:

• stamp the cute little sun from the My Favorite Things Things with Wings stamp set with black ink
• cut the image out with the My Favorite Things Stitched Mini Scallop Circle STAX and color it with Delta and Touch Twin Brush Markers
• create a background on a stitched watercolor paper panel using Distress Inks (Squeezed Lemonade, Mustard Seed, Fossilized Amber)
• spritz it with clean water, let it sit for a minute and remove the excess with a paper towel
• stamp the sentiment from the same stamp set with Versafine Onyx Black
• cut out slider slot
• place one little coin behind the panel, place a piece of foam tape on top and add the second coin above the panel - your slider mechanism is ready now
• adhere the sun using hot glue

• color the A Day for Daisies Magical Dancer Bust with ZIG Clean Color Real Brush Pens, Distress Markers and a waterbrush
• add Wink of Stella Clear Glitter to the leaves
• apply DecoArt Crackle Paste through the ARTplorations Leaf Bliss Large stencil onto a stitched watercolor paper panel and let it dry thoroughly
• sprinkle the background panel with Brushos (Sea Green) and mist it with Pearlized Water
• distress the edges of the image and ink them up with Distress Ink (Pine Needles)
• add a strip of green cardstock to the left side of the background panel before adhering it to a white cardbase

we are starting a new challenge over at Moving along with the Times and we would like you to create a project with an age-related sentiment. This is the card my son got for his 9th birthday a few days ago:

• stamp one of the adorable little bunny circles from the Lili of the Valley Bunny Wishes Trio with Versafine (Onyx Black) on watercolor paper, heat-emboss it with clear embossing powder, cut it out and color the image with ZIG Clean Color Real Brush Pens and a damp brush
• run the front panel of a kraft cardbase through your Big Shot together with the WE R Memory Keepers Gemstone Next Level embossing folder
• cut out the Clearly Besotted happy from turquoise foam rubber 
• add the "9th" cut from felt using the My Favorite Things Little Lowercase Letters and Little Numbers
• stamp the third part of the sentiment from the Mama Elephant Happy Everything stamp set with Versamark on a strip of black cardstock and heat-emboss it with WOW! Bright White Super Fine embossing powder
• round the top right corner with a 1'' corner rounder

we are having a New Release Blog Hop for the Trendy Birds 2 stamp set over at STAMPlorations:

• mask off a strip on the left and on the right edge on a stitched panel of watercolor paper
• color the remaining strip with Distress Ink (Tumbled Glass, Shaded Lilac, Wilted Violet) and spritz it with Pearlized Water for extra sparkle and texture
• arrange the birds from the amazing brand new STAMPlorations Trendy Birds 2 stamp set on your panel and pick them up with your MISTI
• stamp the birds and the sentiment from the same stamp set with Versamark (Onyx Black) - I stamped everything three times for good coverage and a crisp impression on the watercolor paper
• water down some Dylusions Paint (Black Marble) and use it to add some splatters with a paintbrush
• add a strip of black cardstock to the left side of the panel before adhering it to a white cardbase

Hi there,

it's time for a new creation for the Karten-Kunst Blog:

• apply Modeling Paste through the Memory Box Distressed Grid Stencil onto a piece of watercolor paper and let it dry thoroughly
• sprinkle on some Brushos (Sea Green, Lemon, Turquoise) and mist them with  Pearlized Water
• cut out a stitched panel using one of the Memory Box Stitched Rectangle Layers
• cut out the Memory Box Paintbrush Happy from the panel and save the little piece from inside the "y"
• cut the same sentiment from black cardstock and puzzle it into the panel
• stamp the second part of the sentiment from Penny Black Buddy & Duck with embossing ink onto a strip of black cardstock and heat-emboss it with white embossing powder
• add faux stitching to the sentiment strip with a white gel pen
• mount the panel onto a white cardbase - color the edges with a matching Touch Twin Brush Marker for the perfect background

it's Stencil Sunday Time over at the STAMPlorations Blog and I would like to show you this tag:

• cut out a tag from watercolor paper using the Sizzix Tag Collection
• create a background using Distress Paints (Squeezed Lemonade, Spun Sugar, Tumbled Glass)
• adhere torn paper strips from the Maja Design Vintage Spring Basics 6x6 paper pad using Crazing Collage Medium
• apply DecoArt Crackle Paste through the ARTplorations Just Squares stencil and let dry thoroughly for the cracks to appear
• ink up the cracks with Distress Ink (Hickory Smoke)
• cut out the Tim Holtz Doily, flowers (Sizzix 3D Flowers, Sizzix Tiny Tattered Florals) and leaves (My Favorite Things Layered Leaves, My Favorite Things Wild Greenery) from paper from the same patterned paper pad and adhere verything with the Crazing Collage Medium (doily) and hot glue (flowers and leaves)
• add some medium to the flowers and leaves and sprinkle them with glitter
• stamp the sentment from the STAMPlorations Subway Art Builders: Dare with Versamark and heat-emboss it with WOW! Frozen embossing powder
• dye a piece of seam binding with Distress Stains (Tumbled Glass, Spun Sugar, Squeezed Lemonade) and thread it through the hole of the tag
• add Distress Crayon (Hickory Smoke) around the edges and ink them up with Distress Ink (Black Soot)

we are starting a fun new Theme Challenge over at Cupcake Inspirations today:

• stamp several ice cream cones from the Lawn Fawn Here's the Scoop stamp set with Memento (Tuxedo Black) onto a die cut circle
• color the images and the background with Delta and Touch Twin Brush Markers 
• add a line around the images with a white gel pen
• cut the My Favorite Things Stitched Circle Scallop Frame three times - twice from sturdy white cardstock and once from patterned paper from the Avery Elle Sorbet Collection - glue them on top of each other in order to create a nice dimensional frame
• stamp a background onto a white cardbase using the Lawn Fawn Teeny Tiny Backdrops and Hero Arts Shadow Ink (Tide Pool)
• round the two top corners with a 1'' corner rounder
• stamp the sentiment from the Lawn Fawn Here's the Scoop stamp set with Memento (Tuxedo Black) onto a strip of white cardstock - I used my MISTI to stamp it twice for a really crisp impression
• randomly cover the edges on the right and left side of the sentiment strip with the Deco Foil Adhesive Pen and cover the glue with Deco Foil (Teal)
