Hi there,

today, I would like to show you this card that I created for the Karten-Kunst Blog:

• run aluminuim foil through the Texture Boutique using the new Couture Creations I dream embossing folder; repeat this step with white cardstock
• color the aluminium panel with Alcohol Inks (Clover, Cool Peri, Purple Twilight, Pink Sherbet, Pearl Mixative) and the Alcohol Ink Applicator
• stamp the sentiment from Karten-Kunst Weise Worte Frühling with Versamark on a strip of vellum and heat-emboss with ZING! Metallic Teal embossing powder
• ink up the edges with Distress Ink (Dusty Concord) and the Mini Ink Blending Tool
• adhere the finished panel to a white cardbase using foam dots

• punch out four snowflakes from sturdy white cardstock, cover them with Versamark and heat-emboss them with WOW! Whirlpool embossing powder
• stamp the largest tree from Waltzingmouse Stamps Frosty in the Pines with Versamark on watercolor paper and heat-emboss with WOW! Spring Breeze embossing powder
• create a background with Kuretake Gansai Tambi Watercolors and spritz it with pearlized water
• stamp the sentiment from Clearly Besotted Stamps Sweet Little Sentiments with Versafine (Onyx Black)
• stamp the smallest Gingham pattern from Waltzingmouse Stamps Gingham & Co. with Hero Arts Shadow Ink (Silver) on a piece of grey cardstock

Moment of Magic

Hi there,

this is my multi media project for this week's Colour me ...! Challenge.

Each week we will have a creative colour challenge for you to get crafty and show us your best greeting cards, 3D projects, scrapbooking, digital or traditional paper crafts, costumes, etc. Only the colours we indicate may be used for your project. Neutrals such as black, grey, white, vanilla, skin colours and kraft are also welcome.

This week we are using Cherry Cobbler, Real Read, Bermuda Bay & Coastal Cabana ... have fun!

• stamp the mushrooms from Dylusions Doodle Parts (I don't know why I never used those mushrooms before) with Versamark and heat-emboss with WOW! Seafoam White embossing powder
• watercolor the panel with Distress Inks (Fired Brick, Barn Door, Broken China, Peacock Feathers, Pumice Stone, Black Soot)
• paint in the the dots on the mushrooms with a white gel pen
• add texture by applying Distress Ink (Broken China) through the Layering Stencil (Stripes) and Wendy Vecchi Embossing Paste (tinted with Distress Ink - Barn Door) through the Layering Stencil (Dot Fade)
• add IndigoBlu Megaflakes (Winter Dawn) to parts of the edges
• stamp the sentiment from Dylusions The Right Words with Versafine (Smokey Gray) and ink up the edges with Distress Ink (Pumice Stone)
• adhere the panel to corrugated cardstock painted with a little Distress Paint (Peacock Feathers)

today, I am guest designing for the March Rudolph Day Challenge. Thanks a lot for having me.

Here is a quick look at the Rudolph Days Rules:

1. Rudolph Days will start monthly on the 25th and will close on the last day of that month.
2. The theme is always Anything Goes, as long as it is Christmas.
3. One entry per person and you just need to enter one Christmas card. (You can have more than one card on your post, but your post will still only count as one entry)
4. You may combine your entry with other challenges (maximum of 10 in total).
5. Prizes will be shipped anywhere in the world.

6. The winner will be selected by random draw and announced on the first day of the following month.

Distressed Photo

Hi there,

today, I would like to show you this cute little card with a vintage feel to it:

• stamp the tree from Lawn Fawn Critters in the 'Burbs with Versafine (Smokey Gray) on watercolor paper and mask it; stamp a second tree using the same ink
• cut out a hill shape and color it using Distress Ink (Bundled Sage, Mowed Lawn) and the Mini Ink Blending Tool
• stamp the cute little cat from the same stamp set on watercolor paper with Versafine (Smokey Gray) and create a mirror-stamped image by stamping the cat on the backside of a large acrylic stamp or on the back of an unmounted rubber stamp and stamp that on a piece of watercolor paper as well; the lines won't be too crisp but you can always go over them with your Memento Marker (Gray Flannel)
• stamp part of the sentiment from Lawn Fawn Gleeful Gardens with Versafine (Vintage Sepia) on the hill shape
• color the images with Distress Re-Inker (Shabby Shutters, Mowed Lawn, Antique Linen, Tumbled Glass, Gathered Twigs, Pumice Stone, Black Soot, Spun Sugar) and a waterbrush
• ink up the edges with Distress Ink (Antique Linen, Vintage Photo) to make the whole piece look like an old photograph
• distress a piece of patterned paper from the Maja Design Vintage Spring Basics paper pad using a Paper Distresser and Distress Ink (Vintage Photo)
• adhere everythig on a kraft cardbase

• stamp flowers and leaves from Lawn Fawn Flutter by with Versamark on watercolor paper and heat-emboss with white embossing powder
• watercolor the flowers with Distress Ink (Tattered Rose, Festive Berries, Squeezed Lemonade, Scattered Straw, Seedless Preserves, Dusty Concord, Tumbled Glass, Broken China, Peacock Feathers, Dried Marigold, Spiced Marmalade, Spun Sugar, Picked Raspberry, Bundled Sage, Mowed Lawn)
• cut the sentiment three times from watercolor paper, lay the pieces on top of each other and watercolor them with Distress Ink (Scattered Straw, Shaded Lilac, Dusty Concord, Tumbled Glass, Broken China, Peacock Feathers, Spun Sugar, Picked Raspberry)
• cut white cardstock apart and stamp Clearly Besotted Diagonal Stripes with Versacraft (Cherry Pink) on a white cardbase
• use foam dots for the assembly
• add a silver flower sequin as a final embellishment

Stamp Connection #1

Hi there,

today, I want to share something brand new with you: The Stamp Connection.

Connected through our love for card making, blogging and being from Germany we (Cornelia from Stempel Spass and I) decided to create a monthly project within predefined requirements. We are going to show you the result every 3rd Sunday of the month and this is our first transatlantic get-together!

Our requirements for our first meet-up were:
"Easter Bunny/Bunnies and Stencil"

• stamp the cute little bunny from Pink Cat Studio Easter Plate with Versafine (Vintage Sepia) onto a Neenah Desert Strom Kraft cardbase
• cover the image with an egg-shaped mask cut from Eclipse Tape
• ink up the edges of the mask with Distress Ink (Broken China)
• cover the card with the My Favorite Things Jumbo Polka Dot Stencil and apply Hero Arts Unicorn White Pigment Ink using a sponge dauber
• slightly offset the mask and draw dashed lines with a Distress Marker (Broken China)
• stamp the sentiment from Clearly Besotted Stamps Sweet Little Sentiments with Versafine (Vintage Sepia) along thr egg shape - that is one of the good things about clear stamps ... you can manipulate their shape to a certain extent
• remove the mask and add faux stitching with the same Distress Marker to the inside of the egg
• color the image with Spectrum Noir Pencils, Zest-it and Liquid Applique

today, I would like to show you the Easter card that I created as a Surprise Sweetie for Cupcake Inspirations. It is my pleasure to join this fantastic challenge as a guest designer.

• stamp the cute little chick from Create a Smile Eggstraordinary Egghunt with Versafine (Onyx Black) on patterned paper from the Lawn Fawn Let's Polka 6x6 petite paper pack and add some dimension using Lyra Rembrandt Polycolor Pencils and Zest-it
• stamp the tiny dots from the same stamp set with Colorbox Pigment Ink (Pink) on its belly and add a flower sequin from the Pretty Pink Posh Springtime Mix
• cut out an egg shape from a piece of white cardstock, stamp the sentiment from Mias Stempelküche 365 (Frohe Ostern means Happy Easter) with Versafine (Onyx Black) in the bottom right corner and add faux stitching with a Distress Marker (Worn Lipstick)
• cover the egg shape with acetate and surround it with foam tape; fill the shaker with Pretty Pink Posh Sequins (4mm Pink Peonies and 4mm Lemon Meringue) and transparent seed beads; cover the shaker with another piece of acetate
• stamp the medium dots from Technique Tuesday Lots of Dots with Versafine (Onyx Black) on the right edge of a white cardbase and little flowers from Lawn Fawn Penelope's Blossoms with Versacraft (Lemon Yellow) and Colorbox Pigment Ink (Pink) as a background for the egg shaker

• stamp Bethlehem and two additional palm trees from Paper Smooches A Blessed Christmas with Versafine (Onyx Black) and fill in remaining blue space with a black PITT Artist Pen
• stamp the sentiment and the star from the same set with Versamark and heat-emboss with JudiKins Egyptian Gold embossing powder
• mat the panel on gold glitter cardstock and adhere everything to a kraft cardbase

• add faux stitching with the Paper Smooches Stiched Dies to a piece of patterned paper from the Create a Smile Feel Good paper pack and use foam tape to adhere the images
• cover a white cardbase with patterned paper from the same paper pad
• stamp the sentiment from Pink Cat Studio Easter Plate on a white banner with Versafine (Smokey Grey)
• stamp the tiny squares from Mama Elephant On Point Borders on top of the sentiment to add some texture with Hero Arts Shadow Ink (Soft Pool); ink the edges with the same ink color
• wind Prima Jute Trim Wheat around the card front
• round the bottom corners with a 1'' corner rounder

• add Pretty Pink Posh Sequins (6mm and 4mm Sparkling Clear) as final embellishments
