Merry Christmas Snowman Tag

Hi there,

I created this cute snowman tag for the Stamping-Fairies Facebook Group:

  • cut out a tag from watercolor paper using one of tag dies from the Tim Holtz Tag Collection
  • stamp the snowman with the help of the Lawn Fawn Making frosty Friends set and Versafine Clair Pinecone - use the Masking Technique
  • color the image with Derwent Inktense pencils and a damp watercolor brush
  • stamp some snow from the Lawn Fawn Snow Cool set with Distress Embossing Ink and heat-emboss them with WOW! Bright White Super Fine embossing powder
  • add color to the background with watered-down Distress Oxide Re-Inker Tumbled Glass
  • use the rest of the ink to dye a piece of torn seam binding and thread it through the hole of the tag
  • stamp the sentiment from the Avery Elle Polar Peek a Boo Pals with Distress Embossing Ink onto a strip of Neenah Desert Storm kraft cardstock and heat-emboss it with WOW! Bright White Super Fine embossing powder
  • add some highlights and faux stitching with a white gel pen

Thank you Fox

Hi there,

this week I would like to show you this cute little tag that I created using the new Gerda Steiner Designs Foxes set:

  • color one of the foxes from the Gerda Steiner Designs Foxes set with Faber-Castell Albrecht Dürer pencils and a damp watercolor brush
  • add highlights with a white gel pen
  • cut out one of the CUTplorations Stitched Tags from kraft cardstock and create a background using some of the small images from the Gerda Steiner Designs Happy Fall set and Versafine Vintage Sepia
  • thread dark brown and orange twine through the hole of the tag

Smells like Christmas

Hi there,

I created this adorable Christmas card for the Karten-Kunst Blog:

  • create a background on a stitched panel of watercolor paper using Distress Oxide Inks or Distress Oxide Re-Inkers (Broken China, Peacock Feathers) and water from your Mini Mister
  • stamp the Karten-Kunst Spiral-Text Schnee with Versamark and heat-emboss it with WOW! Bright White Super Fine embossing powder
  • stamp the sweet mouse from the Gerda Steiner Designs Smell like Christmas set with Versafine Smokey Gray, do some paper-piecing with patterned paper from the Maja Designs Home for Christmas 6x6 paper pad and color the rest of the image with Faber-Castell Albrecht-Dürer Pencils and a damp watercolor brush
  • add white Liquid Applique to the cap and the shoes for extra dimension

Snowflake Window Card

Hi there,

I created this Snowflake Window Card for Elizabeth Craft Designs:

  • cut out one of the Elizabeth Craft Designs Snowflakes from the front of a white cardbase
  • adhere a piece of vellum behind the opening and puzzle the snowflake back in
  • stamp the sentiment from the Elizabeth Craft Designs Classic Christmas Sentiments set with Versamark and heat-emboss it with Ranger Liquid Platinum embossing powder
  • cut out a hill shape from smooth white cardstock using one of the Elizabeth Craft Designs Adventure Edges
  • stamp the snowman builders from the Elizabeth Craft Designs Christmas Kids set with Memento Tuxedo Black
  • lay down a base coat of color with Delta, Touch Twin Brush and Copic Markers
  • add extra shading with Faber-Castell Polychromos pencils
  • stamp a second sentiment and some snowflakes from the Elizabeth Craft Designs Classic Christmas Sentiments set with Versamark and heat-emboss all of it with Ranger Liquid Platinum embossing powder

Happy Holiday Critters

Hi there,

I created this Christmas Critter card for the Stamping-Fairies Facebook Group:

  • cut out a rectangle from watercolor cardstock and stamp three critters and the sentiment from the Avery Elle Polar Peek a Boo Pals with Versafine Onyx Black
  • color the images with Faber-Castell Albrecht-Dürer pencils and a damp watercolor brush
  • stamp some snowflakes from the same set with Altenew Crisp Ink (Arctic, Caribbean Sky)
  • add some Nuvo Drops White Blizzard as final embellishment
  • mount the watercolor panel onto a piece of patterned paper from the BoBunny Altitude 6x6 paper pad before adhering all the layers to a kraft cardbase

Hi there,

I created another card using the adorable new Gerda Steiner Designs Foxes set:

  • color one of the foxes and some mushrooms from the Gerda Steiner Designs Foxes set with Faber-Castell Albrecht Dürer pencils and a damp watercolor brush
  • add highlights with a white gel pen
  • create a background using patterned paper from the Maja Design Walking in the Forest 6x6 paper pad
  • cut out some grass and a hill shape using the Elizabeth Craft Designs Adventure Edges 
  • use the sentiment from the same stamp set
  • adhere all the layers to a kraft cardbase
  • add Nuvo Crystal Drops Caramel Cream as final embellishment

Hi there,

we are starting a new Challenge over on the Elizabeth Craft Designs Blog and this time the topic is "A floral Christmas":

  • cut out all the pieces you need to assemble two pine cones and some foliage using the Elizabeth Craft Designs Pine Cone die set, white Soft Finish Cardstock and kraft cardstock
  • add shading to the kraft cardstock using Distress Ink Gathered Twigs
  • color the foliage with Delta, Touch Twin Brush and Copic Markers
  • cove a pre-cut tag with white gesso and create a background using Distress Paint (Stormy Sky, Walnut Stain)
  • add splatters with watered-down white acrylic paint
  • stamp the sentiment from the Elizabeth Craft Designs Classic Christmas Sentiments with Archival Ink Coffee
  • shape the pine cone elements with the Elizabeth Craft Designs Metal Tool Set and adhere them directly to the tag
  • cut out a bow from felt using dies from the Elizabeth Craft Designs Spring Basket set
  • dye a piece of seam binding with Distress Stain Tarnished Brass and thread it through the hole of the tag
  • add some snow effects using Elizabeth Craft Designs Cool Diamond Silk Microfine Glitter

Christmas Shaker Tag Duo

Hi there,

I created this cute Christmas Shaker tag duo for the Karten-Kunst Blog:

  • cut out two tags from smooth white cardstock and two tags from patterned paper from the Lawn Fawn Perfectly Plaid Christmas 6x6 pap pad with the help of the Karten-Kunst Tag dies
  • add openings to the patterned paper tags using dies from the same set
  • stamp the sentiments from the Karten-Kunst Capri Weihnachtspost with Versafine Onyx Black
  • cover the opening with acetate and create a shaker pocket with double-sided foam adhesive
  • fill the shaker with Nuvo Crystal Cloud Circles and Nuvo Desert Sunset Stars
  • close the shaker with the previously cut white tags
  • thread multi-colored twine through the holes of the tags

Hauptzutat: Liebe - Main Ingredient: Love

Hi there,

I created this adorable snowmen card using the Create a Smile Geheime Zutat stamp set:

  • stamp images from the Create a Smile Geheime Zutat set with Versafine Onyx Black 
  • color them with Prismacolor Colored Pencils and add highlights with a white gel pen
  • create a background with Distress Oxide Inks (Blueprint Sketch, Wilred Violet)
  • add splatters with pearlized water for extra sparkle and texture
  • add a strip of patterned paper from the BoBunny Candy Cane Lane 6x6 paper pad at the bottom of the panel
  • add dimension to the noses and the hearts with Nuvo Crystal Glaze and Nuvo Jewels Drops Strawberry Coulis
  • stamp the sentiment from the same set with Versamark and heat-emboss it with Ranger Liquid Platinum embossing powder

Peace Tag

Hi there,

it's time for the annual participation of STAMPlorations in the 25 Days of Christmas Tags Event:
  • cut out a CUTplorations Manila Tag from watercolor paper
  • run the tag through your Big Shot with the ARTplorations Dream Flower stencil on top in order to emboss the flower shapes into the tag
  • add color using Distress Stain Tarnished Brass and Distress Ink Ground Espresso
  • stamp the wreath from the STAMPlorations Joyful set with Versafine Clair Pinecone and color it with CarbOthello Pastel pencils
  • use Stickles XMas Red for the berries
  • cut the CUTplorations Peace Love Joy phrase die from kraft cardstock and only use the Peace for this particular tag
  • add color to the sentiment with the help of the Distress Stain Tarnished Brass
  • dye a piece of torn seam binding with Distress Paint Festive Berries
  • add splatters with watered-down white acrylic paint

Blessed Leaves

Hi there,

it's time for the annual STAMPlorations Giving Thanks Blog Hop and I used the brand new STAMPlorations Leaves of Thanks stamp set on my project:

  • cut out a mask from acetate with three squares
  • stamp three of the leaves from the STAMPlorations Leaves of Thanks set with Versafine Clair Nocturne into the opening
  • mask the leaves and add color around them with Distress Inks (Scattered Straw, Wild Honey, Fired Brick) and a Mini Ink Blending Tool
  • color the leaves with Derwent Inktense pencils and a damp watercolor brush
  • cut out the CUTploartions Blessed word die from kraft cardstock
  • add splatters with watered-down Distress Stain Tarnished Brass
  • adhere the watercolor panel to a brown cardbase

Stamp Connection #43

Hi there,

connected through our love for card making, blogging and being from Germany we (Cornelia from Stempel Spass and I) decided to create a monthly project within predefined requirements. We are going to show you the result every 2nd Sunday of the month and this is our 43rd transatlantic get-together!

Our requirement for this meet-up was:
"Fields & Meadows" 


  • stamp the scarecrow, three crows, pumpkins and sunflowers from the Lawn Fawn Happy Harvest set with Versafine Clair Fallen Leaves
  • color the images with Derwent Inktense pencils and a damp watercolor brush
  • cut out all the elements for the Lawn Fawn Scalloped Box Card Pop-up from kraft cardstock and from patterned paper from the Maja Design Walking in the Forest 6x6 paper pad
  • cut some grass from green cardstock and add it to the three dimensional layers
  • stamp the sentiment from the same stamp set with Versamark and heat-emboss it with WOW! Bright Super Fine embossing powder
  • stamp some leaves with Versamark as well an heat-emboss them with WOW! Fool's Gold embossing powder
  • add some Nuvo Drops Caramel Cream as final embellishment
