Hi there,

since it is the fifth Saturday of the month, we are having a Pick a Previous Challenge over at the 52 {Christmas} Card Throwdown:

July 2015 - Snowman

• cut out two tags using the Lil' Inker Designs Anytime Tags dies - one from Perfect Colouring Paper and one from patterned paper from the Doodlebug Design Frosty Friends 6x6 paper pad
• stamp the cute little snowman from Penny Black Jolly Friends with Memento (Tuxedo Black) and color the image with Delta Markers
• add details with a white gel pen and add Distress Glitter (Clear Rock Candy) to the snow and Stickles (Christmas Red) to the berries
• color the sky using Jaxell Soft Pastels and a pompon
• emboss Taylored Expressions Snowfall on a piece of white cardstock
• stamp the sentiment from Clearly Besotted Stamps Sweet Little Sentiments with Versamark, heat-emboss it with Wendy Vecchi embossing powder (Cornflower Blue) and wrap it around the dry-embossed background panel
• create a matching cardbase by adding the same light blue Delta Marker used for the scarf to the edges
• thread Lawn Fawn Silver Saprkle twine through the star-shaped holes of the tags

we are starting a new Stamp & Share Challenge over at Skipping Stones Design today:

• create a background on a piece of watercolor paper with Distress Ink (Antique Linen, Vintage Photo, Walnut Stain, Black Soot) and Pearlized Water
• cut a strip from watercolor paper, stamp the Hero Arts Designer Woodgrain Stamp with Versamark and heat-emboss it with Distress Embossing Powder (Vintage Photo); color the strip with Distress Ink (Antique Linen, Vintage Photo, Black Soot)
• cut out two frames from watercolor paper using the My Favorite Things Inside & Out Stitched Rounded Square STAX
• color the frames with Distress Ink (Black Soot) and spritz them with Perfect Pearls Mist (Heirloom Gold)
• stamp the sentiment from Skipping Stones Design Heartsong with Versafine (Onyx Black) and create a watercolor background using Distress Inks (Cracked Pistachio, Peacock Feathers)
• stamp the bird and the butterfly from the same stamp set with Versafine (Onyx Black), cut them out and watercolor them with Distress Inks (Cracked Pistachio, Peacock Feathers, Ripe Persimmon) and a waterbrush
• add a piece of twine around the woodgrain strip

I finally found the time to play with the From the Heart Stamp of the Month:

• color the From the Heart Stamps Cornucopia with Delta Markers
• cut out a stitched panel from patterned paper from the Maja Design Walking in the Forest 6x6 paper pad with the help of the Waltzingmouse Stamps Stitched Rectangles
• stamp the sentiment from Lawn Fawn So thankful with Versamark directly onto the patterned paper and heat-emboss it with WOW! Bright White Super Fine embossing powder
• add a strip of burlap as a final embellishment

• cut out a square panel from grey cardstock using the My Favorite Things Inside & Out Stitched Rounded Square STAX and stamp the My Favorite Things Damask Background with Delicata (Shimmery Silver)
• cut out the Poppy Stamps Blooming Poinsettia and the Poppy Stamps Small Blooming Poinsettia from watercolor paper and color it with Distress Inks (Mowed Lawn, Pine Needles, Spun Sugar, Spiced Marmalade) and the Prima Marketing Resist Chalk Edger (Vintage Pink)
• cut out a banner using the My Favorite Things Stitched Fishtail Flags STAX, stamp the sentiment from Lili of the Valley Christmas Handwritten Phrases and heat-emboss it with Platinum embossing powder
• add Distress Glitter (Clear Rock Candy) to the tips of the leaves

Hi there,

today, I would like to show you a card using felt that I created for the Karten-Kunst Blog:

• cut out the largest of the Memory Box Shimmering Snowflakes three times: once from Neenah Desert Storm kraft cardstock, once from blue 2mm felt and once from purple 2mm felt
• puzzle the blue and purple snowflake into the outline from kraft carstock
• cover a piece of white cardstock with Versamark and heat-emboss it with JudiKins White Diamond embossing powder
• cut out Karten-Kunst Frohes Fest from the heat-embossed piece
• stamp a snowflake background using the smallest dots from the Lawn Fawn Trim the Tree stamp set and VersaMagic (Cloud White)
• round the top corners with a 1'' corner rounder
• cut out a panel using the Memory Box Stitched Rectangle Layers from purple textured cardstock

Happy Little Stampers Birthday Tag Duo

Hi there,

it is time for the second release blog hop over at Happy Little Stampers. Join in the fun and hop along because there are prizes to be won. I created two tags with one of the new sets:

Here is the step by step tutorial for each one:

• stamp the adorable little hippo from the Happy Little Stampers Birthday Friends stamp set with Memento (Tuxedo Black) and color it with Delta Markers and a white gel pen
• create a background on watercolor paper using a DIY Monoprinting Plate, acrylic paints and the ARTplorations Just Squares Stencil
• cut out a tag using the Lil'Inker Designs Anytime Tags 2 and stamp the sentiment from the same stamp set twice: first with Memento Luxe (Gray Flannel) to create a shadow and then slightly offset with Memento Luxe (Tuxedo Black)
• dye a piece of seam binding with Distress Stains (Tumbled Glass, Spun Sugar, Shaded Lilac) and thread it through the star-shaped hole of the tag

• stamp the sweet little elephant from the Happy Little Stampers Birthday Friends stamp set with Memento (Tuxedo Black) and color it with Delta Markers
• create a background on watercolor paper using a DIY Monoprinting Plate, acrylic paints and the ARTplorations Just Squares Stencil
• cut out a tag using the Lil'Inker Designs Anytime Tags and stamp the sentiment from the same stamp set twice with Memento Luxe (Tuxedo Black)
• stamp the little bubbles from the same stamp set with Distress Ink (Picked Raspberry) and heat-emboss them with clear embossing powder
• dye a piece of seam binding with Distress Ink (Picked Raspberry) and thread it through the hole of the tag - in order to achieve the ombre look, spritz the whole piece with water but then only dip the ends into the ink and let it seep in as far as the color wants to go

Hi there,

it's Stencil Sunday over at the STAMPlorations Blog and today, I would like to show you the second page of my Mixed Media Art Journal:

• stamp the houses from STAMPlorations Houses with Memento (Tuxedo Black) and color the images with Delta Markers
• add highlights with a white gel pen
• cut out a compass from watercolor paper and color it with Distress Stains (Black Soot, Tarnished Brass)
• cut a panel from very sturdy watercolor paper (425 g/qm), cover it with gesso and punch two holes at the left side
• color the background with Gelatos (Butter Cream, Butterscotch, Chocolate) and add water droplets to remove some of the color in order to create texture 
• stamp elements from the STAMPlorations Mixed Media Grunge set with Memento Luxe (Wedding Dress, Rich Cocoa) and VersaMagic (Niagara Mist)
• apply Distress Ink (Wild Honey) throught the ARTplorations Just Squares stencil
• adhere the houses, the compass and the printed sentiment with Soft Matte Gel
• ink up the edges with Distress Ink (Ground Espresso)
