I am super excited besause today we are starting our brand new Mixed Media Challenge over at Happy Little Stampers and I am part of the fabulous Design Team. The first topic is "Tag":
- cover a piece of kraft cardstock with tissue paper using Multi Medium Matte
- cut out a tag with the help of the Sizzix Tag Selection
- dilute some gesso with water and apply it to the front of the tag in order to mute the script of the tissue paper
- stamp some STAMPlorations Distressed Floral Swirls with Memento Luxe (Rich Cocoa) and heat-emboss them with clear embossing powder
- apply Texture Paste through the ARTplorations Christmas Trees stencil and cover the wet texture paste with WOW! Metallic Platinum embossing powder - since I love the dimensional effect, I heated the embossing powder right away and didn't wait for the texture paste to dry
- ink up the edges of the tag with Distress Ink (Ground Espresso) and dye a piece of seam binding with Distress Ink (Ground Espresso, Gathered Twigs) as well
- cut out "believe" from the Sizzix Holiday Words: Script three times from kraft cardstock, layer the pieces on top of each other and paint the finished sentiment with Finetec Mica Watercolor Limited Edition Dragon Silver
- add some paint splatters with that same paint
