Happy Birthday Stars

Hi there,

this is my creation for the ARTplorations Stencil Blog Hop:

  • create a background on a stitched watercolor paper panel using Dylusions Paint (Calypso Teal, Vibrant Turquoise)
  • apply Dylusions Paint (Lemon Zest) throught the ARTplorations Oh my Stars! stencil
  • sketch the outlines of  those stars with a black PITT Artist Pen and a white gel pen
  • stamp through the same stencil with one of the STAMplorations Mixed Media Grunge stamps and VersaMagic (Night Sky)
  • spray Dylusions Ink (After Midnight) onto the panel
  • cut away the bottom right corner using one of the Avery Elle Dotted Borders dies
  • use the Distress Marker Spritzer and a silver PITT Artist Pen to add some splatters
  • cut out another stitched panel from black cardstock
  • stamp the sentiment from the STAMPlorations Sentiment Builders Happy onto the black panel with Versamark and heat-emboss it with WOW! Bright White Super Fine embossing powder
  • cut out the Mama Elephant Happy Script from white foam rubber and add it to the cardpanel above the second part of the sentiment
