Mail for You

 Hi there,

I created this colorful rainbow card using the sweet little fox from the Anjas Basteltraum Geburtstagsfreunde stamp set:

  • stamp the image from the Anjas Basteltraum Geburtstagsfreunde set with Lawn Fawn Crunchy Leaf
  • color the image with Spectrum Noir Triblend Markers, add extra shading with Faber-Castell Polychromos pencils and highlights with a white gel pen
  • create a background on a white cardbase using the Lawn Fawn Stitched Borders die set
  • cut out a rainbow from colored cardstock with the help of a die from the Whimsy Stamps Array of Rainbow set and ink up the edges with matching colors for more depth
  • stamp the sentiment from the Anjas Basteltraum Kleine Sprüche Post set with rainbow colors of Altenew Crisp Ink

Have a wonderful day.

Hugs,

  1. Do you mind if I ask what marker colors you used and also pencil colors if you remember? Just love the way this came out and I have some foxes in my HB stamp sets and I want to get better at coloring them. SO thanks for any help in advance.

    1. Dear Charlene, of course I will list the colors for you. To be honest I also struggled with coloring foxes for most of the time they turned out to be far too orange for my taste. But I am happy with this color combo and come back to it all the time. As mentioned in the blog post I used Spectrum Noir Triblend Markers and Faber-Castell Polychromos pencils. I used the Tan Blend and the Tan Shades markers. If you want to use the single markers the colors would be TN9, TN8, TN6, TN4 and TN2. I left out the lightest color of the Tan Blend marker. To deepen the shading I used the Faber-Castell Caput Mortuum Violet pencil. It has the number 9201-263. If you have any further questions, don't hesitate to contact me. Hugs, Tanja
