Milka's Thyroid Awareness Month Blog Hop

Hi there,

I am part of Milka's Thyroid Awareness Month Blog Hop and this is my creation:

  • cut out a CUTplorations Manila Tag from watercolor cardstock
  • add color with Distress Oxide Inks (Weathered Wood, Blueprint Sketch, Faded Jeans)
  • stamp some leaves from the STAMPlorations Leaves of Thanks set with Versamark and heat-emboss them with WOW! Bright White Superfine embossing powder
  • cut out the detailed butterfly from the CUTplorations Flutter Zen 1 die set from watercolor cardstock, cover the whole thing with Versamark and heat-emboss it with Stampendous Shabby Blue embossing powder
  • adhere cheesecloth, burlap, fabric, seam binding and punchinella with hot glue and place the butterfly on top pf all the layers
  • dye a piece of seam binding with the same colors of Distress Oxide Ink and thread it through the hole of the tag
  • use two of the Tim Holtz Clipping Stickers to create the sentiment

Enjoy the rest of the hop.

Hugs,

My Moment ATC

Hi there,

it is time for another Stencil Sunday and the start of a new Mixed Media Challenge over on the STAMPlorations Blog

  • for this one I also used one of my pre-created ATC backgrounds
  • add a thin layer of watered-down gesso
  • create a plaid pattern using the ARTplorations Plaid Maker stencil and Distress Oxide Ink (Broken China, Wilted Violet)
  • add some circle shapes with a Derwent Onyx Dark Pencil
  • let some watered-down black acrylic paint drip down from the top of the card and add some dots with a silicone tool
  • cut out the intricate CUTplorations Flutter Zen 1 butterfly from watercolor paper and color it with Distress Ink (Spiced Marmalade) and a Mini Ink Blending Tool
  • use a piece of thin wire to bring some delicate fabric into some kind of a bow shape and glue the butterfly on top with hot glue
  • dye a sticker from the Tim Holtz Big Chat set with Distress Ink (Spiced Marmalade) and add it to the ATC

I hope you got inspired.

Yours,

Butterflies ATC

Hi there,

we are starting the Things with Wings Spring Blog Hop over on the STAMPlorations Blog.

  • in one of my previous posts I explained how I created the background for several ATCs
  • choose one of them
  • stamp one of the butterflies from the STAMPlorations Trendy Butterflies 2 set with Versafine (Onyx Black) and color it with ZIG Clean Color Real Brush Pens
  • stamp the sentiment from the same set on a strip of torn vellum and heat-emboss it with WOW! Bright White Super Fine embossing powder
  • glue the vellum onto a torn piece of corrugated cardstock and set it aside
  • color the edges of the ATC and a piece of fabric with Distress Crayon (Peacock Feathers)
  • apply some Prima Marketing Modeling Paste through the ARTplorations Dots all over stencil
  • use the Bosch GluePen to adhere all the elements to the card

I hope you got inspired.

Yours,
