Stamp Connection #18

Hi there,

connected through our love for card making, blogging and being from Germany we (Cornelia from Stempel Spass and I) decided to create a monthly project within predefined requirements. We are going to show you the result every 3rd Sunday of the month and this is our 18th transatlantic get-together!

Our requirement for this meet-up was:
"heat-embossing over texture paste"

  • stamp one of the adorable little bunnies form the Memory Box Bunny Wishes set with Versafine (Onyx Black) on a stitched watercolor panel
  • mask the bunny and stamp two trees from the same set
  • apply Texture Paste through the C.C. Designs Birthday Dots stencil and add WOW! Whirpool embossing powder on top - heat-set the embossing powder with the help of your heat tool
  • remove the mask and color the images with Daniel Smith watercolors
  • stamp the sentiment from the Clearly Besotted Stamps Many Mini Messages set with Versafine (Onyx Black)
  • mat the watercolor panel on a piece of gray textured cardstock before adhering it to the cardbase

Now make sure to hop over to see Cornelia's Creation.

Thinking of you Pumpkin Girl

Hi there,

I would like to show you this Watercolor Fall Card over on the A Day for Daisies Blog:

  • color the whimsical A Day for Daisies Pumpkins and Butterflies image with Jaxon Aquarelle watercolors and add some splatters with silver and copper
  • mount the panel onto a piece of brown foiled cardstock before adhering it to the cardbase - I used the Mini Perfect Layers Tool to create a perfect mat
  • add Spectrum Noir Sparkle Pen (clear) to the butterflies for extra shimmer
  • stamp the sentiment from the Clearly Besotted Many Mini Messages set with Versamark directly onto the stitched watercolor panel and heat-emboss it with WOW! Metallic Gold Rich Super Fine embossing powder

My Island Dream

Hi there,

we are starting a brand new Challenge over at Moving along with the Times and this time it is all about Trees and/or Leaves:

  • stamp the palm tress from the Waltzingmouse Stamps My Island stamp set with Versafine (Onxy Black) onto watercolor paper - I used my MISTI to get a crisp impression on the textured surface
  • create a background using Distress Inks (Frayed Burlap, Salty Ocean, Mermaid Lagoon, Spiced Marmalade, Ripe Persimmon)
  • add WOW! Bright Super Fine embossing powder where the beach meets the ocean
  • stamp the sentiment from the same set with the same black ink
  • stamp one of the Clearly Besotted Stamps Diagonal Stripes with Versafine (Onyx Black) onto a kraft cardbase before adhering the main panel with foam adhesive

Sternenzauber - Star of Stars

Hi there,

the Karten-Kunst Shop is having a new release of fantastic dies. On this creation I used the Karten-Kunst Star of Stars die:

  • create a background on a stitched square cut from watercolor paper with Distress Inks (Chipped Sapphire, Blueprint Sketch)
  • use your Mini Mister filled with Pearlized Water to mist the panel and add more texture
  • add some splatters with white Kuretake Gansai Tambi watercolors
  • cut out the Karten-Kunst Star of Stars from golden glitter cardstock and adhere the stars to the blue background
  • add some more white dots with a white gel pen
  • stamp the sentiment from the Karten-Kunst Große Worte Sternenzauber set with Versamark onto a stitched panel of black cardstock and heat-emboss it with WOW! Metallic Gold Rich Super Fine embossing powder

Pile it on Challenge #118 - Sparkle
