Never be afraid Canvas

Hi there,

I created this Mixed Media Canvas for STAMPlorations to remind you that you can still add your projects to the Mixed Media Challenge:

  • cover a canvas with white gesso
  • cut out some imperfect circles from vintage book paper and adhere the with gel medium with a matte finish
  • add some color with watered-down acrylics
  • apply Versamark through the ARTplorations Fearless large stencil and heat-emboss the sentiment with WOW! Midas Touch embossing powder
  • add some highlights with a white gel pen
  • add some leaves around the whole canvas using stamps from the STAMPlorations Leaves of Thanks set and Archival Ink Black Soot
  • add some texture with the help of stamps from the STAMPlorations Mixed Media Elements set and Archival Ink Watering Can
  • add some Nuvo Vintage Drops Bohemian Teal as berries
  • finish the piece by adhering some stickers from the Tim Holtz Clipping set
I hope you got inspired.

Hugs,

Blessed

Hi there,

we are starting a new TAGplorations Challenge over on the STAMPlorations Blog and this month it is All about Fall and the Optional Twist is Red, Gold and Orange:

  • cut out a CUTplorations Stitched Tag from kraft cardstock
  • apply Prima Marketing Modeling Paste through the ARTplorations Autumn Falling stencil and let this dry thoroughly
  • add color with watered-down orange and red acrylic paint
  • add some gold speckles with Distress Stain Tarnished Brass
  • dye a piece of torn seam binding with the leftover stain on your craft mat
  • back the tag up with a second tag cut with the same die
  • use hot glue to adhere a strip of burlap, sari silk ribbon, some berries and an acorn
  • cut out the CUTplorations Blessed word die from wood backed up with some washi tape and adhere it on top of the fabric

Have a wonderful day.
