Hello Joy

Hi there,

welcome back to another Wednesday - STAMPday and today I would like to show you this Art Journal Page:

  • cover a square piece of sturdy cardstock with strips from an old book page and mint green tissue paper - use gel medium to adhere the layers
  • apply white heavy gesso through the ARTplorations Evolution stencil and let it dry thoroughly
  • add walnut ink to grunge up the background
  • paint three dots at the bottom left and at the top right corner with Prima Marketing Impasto Paint Dark Chocolate
  • add some IndigoBlu Mega-Flakes Winter Dawn to those dots
  • cut out the CUTplorations Skinny Sentiments Hello from brown cardstock and the background from vellum
  • add a sticker for the second part of the sentiment

I hope you got inspired.

Choose Kindness

Hi there,

I created this Art Journal Page using some wonderful products from STAMPlorations and I would like to invite you to join our brand new Stencil Challenge which starts today:

  • press a watercolor panel into some leftover texture paste on your craft mat and let this layer dry thoroughly
  • create a background using acrylic paints and some Alcohol Inks
  • add some texture with the help of the STAMPlorations Mixed Media Elements and the Scribbly Splattery Grunge sets and Versafine Clair Fallen Leaves
  • cut out one of the CUTplorations Bloomdala Bliss: Felicity shapes from turquoise foil paper
  • apply Versamark through the ARTplorations Foiled again mini stencil and heat-emboss it with WOW! Midas Touch embossing powder - it stuck to some of the stamping as well but I didn't mind that extra grungy effect
  • add the sentiment from the STAMPlorations Hey Sunshine sticker set - I adhered it to a piece of off white cardstock and inked up the edges with the brown ink that I used before

Have a wonderful day.

Spread your Wings

Hi there,

we are having the Things with Wings Blog Hop and a Mixed Media Challenge over on the STAMPlorations Blog and this is my project:

  • apply Prima Marketing Modeling Paste through the ARTplorations Leaves 2 stencil onto an Art Journal Page cut from patterned paper
  • cover the dried page with clear gesso
  • stamp one of the monsters from the STAMPlorations Big Monsters set and one of the butterflies from the STAMPlorations Trendy Butterflies 2 set with Versafine Onyx Black
  • color the images with Derwent Inktense Pencils and add Wink of Stella Clear Glitter to the wings
  • add color to the Art Journal Page using Dina Wakley Heavy Body Acrylic Paints (Turquoise, Peacock)
  • grunge up the edges of the page with a black Stabilo All Pencil
  • create a sentiment with a label maker

Enjoy the rest of the hop.
