Stamp Connection #34

Hi there,

connected through our love for card making, blogging and being from Germany we (Cornelia from Stempel Spass and I) decided to create a monthly project within predefined requirements. We are going to show you the result every 2nd Sunday of the month and this is our 34th transatlantic get-together!

Our requirement for this meet-up was:
"Inspired by Nature"

• cut out a tag from watercolor paper using one of the CUTplorations Manila Tag dies
• add color with the help of Distress Inks (Weathered Wood, Fossilized Amber, Stormy Sky, Weathered Wood)
• add texture using water droplets from the Mini Mister
• stamp some trees from the Stampers Anonymous Great Outdoors set and the sentiment from Scrapbook Werkstatt with Versafine Onyx Black 
• add some stars using another stamp from the Stampers Anonymous set and Delicata Silver Shimmer
• thread some purple linen ribbon through the hole of the tag

Hi there,

this is my first post as a Design Team Member of  the Addicted to Stamps and More Challenge:

• cut out a frame from green and red cardstock 
• stamp My Favorite Things Snowfall on two pieces of acetate with StazOn (Opaque Cotton White)
• cut out two hill shapes from sturdy white cardstock, cover them with Versamark and heat-emboss them with WOW! Neutral Ultra Shimmer embossing powder
• stamp one of the cats from Mama Elephant Purrfect Pair on white cardstock with Versafine (Smokey Gray) and color the cute little image with Lyra Polycolor Rembrandt Pencils and Zest-it
• add the santa hat from Mama Elephant Arctic Penguins stamped on red glitter paper and embellished with Liquid Applique (white)
• stamp the sentiment from Scrapbook Werkstatt - Dezembertagebuch (Heiligabend means Holy Night) with Versamark on a strip of vellum and heat-emboss with WOW! Bright White Super Fine embossing powder
• run a piece of kraft paper through the Sizzix Texture Boutique using the Darice Paw Print embossing folder and ink up the edges with Distress Ink (Frayed Burlap)
• assemble everything and adhere it to a kraft cardbase
• add three enamel dots as final embellishments - I probably would have added sequins but I had to keep it a little more masculine, since the card was for my vet
