Hi there,

I would like to show you this home decor piece that I created for my son's room and I hope it inspires you to join the Addicted to Stamps and More Make your Mark Challenge:

  • cover a burlap panel with some Prima Marketing Modeling Paste and roll a textured brayer or stamp over this background - let this layer dry thoroughly
  • add some color with watered-down Dina Wakley Heavy Body Acrylic Paints (Turquoise, Night) - add some splatters with the dark blue as well
  • glue on some book text and a sticker with matte medium
  • add Prima Marketing Metallique Wax Bronze Age to the raised areas
  • cut out the largest of the Memory Box Leavenworth Trio butterflies from sturdy white cardstock and add color with that same acrylic paints and the wax
  • use hot glue to adhere it in the top right corner of the panel

I hope you got inspired.

Celebrate Flower Card

Hi there,

I tried some no-line watercoloring on this flower card and I hope it inspires you to join our Addicted to Stamps and More Photo Inspiration Challenge:

  • stamp the flowers and the leaves from the Lawn Fawn Flutter by set onto a stitched panel of watercolor paper with Distress Ink (Spun Sugar, Bundles Sage) - this time I used first generation stamping but next time I would probably try using second generation stamping in order to have less visible lines
  • color the images with Daniel Smith and Schmincke Horadam watercolors
  • stamp the sentiment from the Winnie and Walter The Big, the Bold and Party set with Versamark onto a strip of torn vellum and heat-emboss it with WOW! Gold Rich Pale embossing powder
  • wrap the vellum strip around the panel and adhere it to a white cardbase cut from the same paper as the panel to match the white

I hope you give this technique a try.

You are simply awesome

Hi there,

we are starting a new CAS Challenge over at Addicted to Stamps and More. I have to admit I always struggle with Clean and Simple Cards and maybe you do, too. Here are the guidelines to keep in mind:
  • one main focal point
  • lots of open (no pattern) space
  • minimal layers
  • minimal embellishments
And this is my project:

  • stamp the adorable little bird from the Gerda Steiner Designs Hoppiness set with Memento (Tuxedo Black), cut it out and color the image with Delta, Touch Twin Brush and Copic Markers
  • add extra shading with Faber-Castell Polychromos Pencils
  • cover the glasses with Pico Embellisher (Clear)
  • apply Distress Ink (Squeezed Lemonade, Mustard Seed) through a 7 Dots Studio stencil
  • stamp the sentiment from the Gerda Steiner Designs Happy Hoppy set with Versafine (Onyx Black)
  • glue the bird on top of the sentiment
  • round the top right corner with a 1'' corner rounder

I hope you got inspired.
