Hello Friend

Hi there,

it is time for a new A Day for Daisies Challenge. Our topic this time is Wood:

  • color the A Day for Daisies Owl Nephew with ZIG Clean Color Real Brush Pens and a damp watercolor brush
  • use diluted Distress Ink (Tumbled Glass) for the background and add some splatters with that same ink
  • color the stars with Finetec Mica Watercolors (Moon Gold) and add some golden splatters as well
  • ink up the edges of the main panel with Distress Ink (Tumbld Glass) and a Mini Ink Blending Tool
  • run a piece of Neenah Desert Storm kraft cardstock through the Sizzix Big Shot together with a woodgrain embossing folder
  • stamp the sentiment from the Mama Elephant Sunday Sentiments set with Versamark onto a strip of vellum, heat-emboss it with WOW! Metallic Gold Rich Super Fine embossing powder and wrap the sentiment strip around the kraft panel
  • stamp one of the Clearly Besotted Stamps Diagonal Stripes onto a piece of wood veneer with the help of Delicata Golden Glitz ink
  • add the wood veneer strip to the bottom of the main panel before adhering it to the embossed kraft panel using foam tape
  • use some wood veneer stars as final embellishments
