Hi there,

I created this colorful Birthday Card for the Karten-Kunst Blog:

• cut out the letters H, B and D with the help of the Karten-Kunst Joy Alphabet from white and black cardstock - color the white letters with Spectrum Noir Triblend Markers
• layer the letters slightly offset on top of each other for a drop shadow effect
• stamp two images from the Karten-Kunst Mini Frames Congratulations with Lawn Fawn Jet Black and color the with Spectrum Noir Triblend Markers as well
• stamp an additional sentiment from the Karten-Kunst Aus der Schreibmaschine set with Versafine Onyx Black
• add strips of black cardstock and of patterned paper to the top and bottom of the panel before adhering it to a cardbase

Hairy Birthday

Hi there,

sadly the month of May is almost over and this also puts an end to being a guest designer for the wonderful Menny's Bastelshop:

• stamp the Highland Cattle and the mountains from the Heffy Doodle Highland Honeys set with Lawn Fawn Crunchy Leaf
• color the images with Spectrum Noir Triblend Markers 
• stamp the sentiment from the same set with Versamark on a piece of kraft cardstock and heat-emboss it with WOW! Bright White Super Fine embossing powder
• create a background using some green kraft cardstock and a plaid background cut from dark green cardstock

Hope to be designing again for Menny's Bastelshop in the future.

Watercolor Lighthouse

Hi there,

I created this watercolor card using the Anjas Basteltraum Küstengrüße and the Anjas Basteltraum Kleine Sprüche Meerzeit stamp sets:

• stamp the lighthouse from the Anjas Basteltraum Küstengrüße set with Distress Ink Lost Shadow
• color the image and the background with watercolors
• mat the watercolor panel onto some colored cardstock 
• run the light blue cardbase through your Big Shot in an embossing folder
• ink up the edges with Distress Ink Chipped Sapphire
• stamp the sentiment from the Anjas Basteltraum Kleine Sprüche Meerzeit set with Versamark onto a piece of vellum and heat-emboss it with WOW! Earthtone Blueberry embossing powder

Mixed Media Tulips

Hi there,

I created this Mixed Media Tulip Card for the Karten-Kunst Blog:

• stamp two Karten-Kunst Scribble Tulips with Distress Ink Antique Linen on a piece of watercolor paper 
• color the tulips using watercolors
• add some splatters
• ink up the edges of the panel with Distress Ink Frayed Burlap
• create the background on a piece of watercolor paper
• use watered-down Distress Re-Inker Aged Mahogany to add color
• stamp the Karten-Kunst Script Background with Distress Ink Ground Espresso for extra texture
• ink up the edges of the background panel with Distress Ink Ground Espresso
• cut out the Karten-Kunst Nyala Script Für Dich from Vellum and kraft cardstock

• stamp the unicorn from the Avery Elle Spread Magic set with Gina K. Designs Amalgam Ink Obsidian
• color the image with Spectrum Noir Triblend Markers and add extra shading with Faber-Castell Polychromos pencils
• add color to the background with Distress Oxide Ink Spun Sugar and Tumbled Glass
• add splatters with watered-down Lawn Fawn Liquid Stardust
• cut out two Lawn Fawn Puffy Cloud Borders and stamp the sentiment from the same set with the same two inks used on the background panel

Birthday Wreath

Hi there,

I created this quick and easy birthday wreath for the Karten-Kunst Blog:

• cut out two Karten-Kunst Small Flower Wreaths from white cardstock
• layer them onto a turquoise cardbase slightly offset on top of each other
• use Nuvo Crystal Drops Rhubarb Crumble to fill in the little berries
• add some splatters with watered-down white gouache
• stamp one of the sentiments from the Karten-Kunst Aus der Schreibmaschine set with Versamark onto a strip of turquoise cardstock and heat-emboss it with WOW! Bright White Super Fine embossing powder

• color the image with watercolors
• stamp the sentiment from the Mama Elephant Mini Messages with Versafine Vintage Sepia
• thread two strands of natural twine through the hole of the tag

• cut out a panel from smooth white cardstock using one of the Karten-Kunst Stitched Rectangles DIN A6 dies
• stamp the Karten-Kunst Rainbow with Distress Oxide Ink (Vintage Photo, Forest Moss, Rusty Hinge, Tattered Rose, Dried Marigold) and add some hearts from that same stamp set with Distress Oxide Ink Tattered Rose
• stamp the sentiment from the Karten-Kunst Textrahmen Worte set with Distress Oxide Ink Vintage Photo onto a sentiment strip cut with the help of one of the Karten-Kunst Mini Textrahmen Wimpel dies

• color the image with Spectrum Noir Triblend Markers, add extra shading with Faber-Castell Polychromos pencils and highlights with a white gel pen
• create a background with the help of watercolors
• stamp the sentiment from the Anjas Basteltraum Kleine Gartensprüche set with Versamark onto a piece of vellum and heat-emboss it with ZING! Chestnut embossing powder
• add strips of colored cardstock and of patterned paper to the left and right side of the panel before adhering it to a cardbase

Elephant Parade

I got the fabulous opportunity to create as a Guest Designer for Menny's Bastelshop during the month of May and this is my first project:

• stamp three elephants, a balloon, the pinwheel and the little bow from the Lawn Fawn Elephant Parade and the Lawn Fawn Elephant Parade Add-On sets
• color the images with alcohol markers and add extra shading with Faber-Castell Polychromos pencils
• add highlights with a white gel pen
• create a background with watercolors on a rectangular piece of watercolor paper
• add colored cardstock and strips of patterned paper to the top and bottom of the panel before adhering it to a cardbase

I created this sweet tag using the Anjas Basteltraum Seehunde am Strand and Kleine Sprüche Meerzeit stamp sets:

• cut out a tag from watercolor paper using the Sunny Studio Stamps Mini Tag and Mat 3 set
• stamp one of the adorable little seals and a fish from the Anjas Basteltraum Seehunde am Strand set with Distress Ink Lost Shadow
• color the images and the background with watercolors and add highlights with a white gel pen
• stamp the sentiment from the Anjas Basteltraum Kleine Sprüche Meerzeit set with Versamark and heat- emboss it with WOW! Bright White embossing powder
• embellish the top of the tag with colored cardstock and a little pink heart and thread a strand of twine through the hole of the tag

• cut the Karten-Kunst Heart Rays into a panel of smooth white cardstock
• layer turquoise cardstock behind the hearts and acetate behind the half circle
• stamp two of the Karten-Kunst Borders with turquoise pigment ink
• create a shaker element using double-sided foam adhesive and fill it with sparkling confetti
• cut out the Karten-Kunst Riesiges Hallo from vellum and turquoise cardstock and add it as a sentiment
