It's a Girl Thing

Hi there,

the amazingly talented Shery is releasing two beautiful new stamp sets today over on the STAMPlorations Blog and this is my project using the brand new STAMPlorations It's a Girl Thing - Sunshine set:

  • cut out a CUTplorations Stitched Tag from watercolor paper
  • create a background using Distress Oxide Inks (Tumbled Glass, Bundled Sage, Salty Ocean) and a Blending Brush
  • add some splatters with Pearlized Water
  • stamp the sentiment and some flowers from the STAMPlorations It's a Girl Thing - Sunshine set with Versamark and heat-emboss them with WOW! Bright White Super Fine embossing powder
  • add some more splatters with Distress Spray Stain Pumice Stone
  • stamp the script from the STAMPlorations Mixed Media Elements set with Hero Arts Shadow Ink Silver for even more texture
  • ink up the edges of the tag with Distress Oxide Ink Salty Ocean and a Mini Ink Blending Tool
  • dye a piece of torn seam binding with Distress Stain Salty Ocean and thread it through the hole of the tag

Winter Birthday Tag

Hi there,

I created this Winter Birthday Tag for the Stamping-Fairies Facebook Group:

  • cut out a tag from watercolor paper using one of the dies from the Sizzix Tag Collection
  • create a background with the help of Distress Oxide Inks (Chipped Sapphire, Blueprint Sketch, Milled Lavender)
  • stamp the Neat & Tangled Falling Flakes with Versamark and heat-emboss them with WOW! Bright White Super Fine embossing powder
  • stamp one of the adorable little deer from the Neat & Tangled Oh Deer set
  • color it with Delta, Touch Twin Brush and Copic Markers and add extra shading with Faber-Castell Polychromos pencils and highlights with a white gel pen
  • stamp the sentiment from the same set with Versamark onto a strip of black cardstock and heat-emboss it with WOW! Bright White Super Fine embossing powder
  • cut out a hill shape from white cardstock with the help of one of the My Favorite Things Stitched Snow Drifts
  • dye a piece of seam binding with Distress Stain Milled Lavender and thread it through the hole of the tag

What's on the Table?

Hi there,

I created this adorable Birthday Card using images from the Gerda Steiner Designs What's on the Table? digital stamp set:

  • create a scene using images from the Gerda Steiner Designs What's on the Table? digital stamp set
  • color the images with Derwent Inktense pencils and a damp watercolor brush
  • add highlights with a white gel pen
  • stamp the sentiment from the Gerda Steiner Designs Happy Hoppy set with Versafine Onyx Black
  • cut a decorative edge at the top
  • layer a piece of patterned paper from the Doodlebug Design Fairy Tales 6x6 paper pad behind the panel before adhering it to the cardbase
  • add Nuvo Glitter Drops White Blizzard to the icing on the cupcakes for extra sparkle and dimension

Winter Magic - Winter Zauber

Hi there,

I created this fun winter card for the Karten-Kunst Blog:

  • stamp the adorable little bunny from the Karten-Kunst Viecher im Winter set with Versafine Vintage Sepia
  • color the image with Delta, Touch Twin Brush and Copic Markers and add extra shading with Prismacolor Colored Pencils and highlights with a white gel pen
  • create a background on a piece of watercolor paper using Distress Oxide Inks (Stormy Sky, Broken China, Tumbled Glass)
  • mist the panel with water from your Mini Mister for more texture
  • add some snowflakes from the Karten-Kunst Spiral-Text Schnee with Altenew Crisp Ink Silver Stone
  • adhere a stitched hill shape and the bunny on top
  • stamp the sentiment from the Karten-Kunst Kalligraphie im Dezember with Versafine Clair Morning Mist
  • mount the panel onto a piece of grey cardstock before adhering it to the cardbase
